I got my first Kottke album (Mudlark) 50 years ago. I searched record stores everywhere and found it in an on-sale pile! It's a good thing that even as we age the music doesn't.
Saw him in Kansas City at the Madrid just a few nights later. He was fantastic and, of course, I was curious what he was playing. Looks like an OO or OOO-18 Martin with a Fishman Rare Earth/Neo D of some sort? Regardless, it was a great show and I'm fortunate to have seen him.
At Kiel Opera House, decades ago, the stool he was perched on was in disrepair & coming apart ... the promoters were missing, the stagehands clueless ... nobody responded when L.K. looked to the wings and asked for another chair. A photographer finally scrounged around backstage and found one, then brought it out between songs. ( receiving applause from the audience )

An all time favorite. It surely is strange to watch an artist like Leo over the course of his life.
Fantastic! Great to hear and see him.
Oh wow, very cool!! I saw him at the Sheldon in, or around, 2000. I could tell he loved the sound in that room.
Slower, as expected, but still with the soul that made him a legend.
I consider myself fortunate to have heard him at Interlochen about ten years ago.
Great works.

He needed a screwdriver to tighten up his mic clip on this night. Didn't take too long before a hand brought one to him, and all was well.
1ProudMa...Just FYI, this clip is a medley of two of his tunes. He starts off with "June Bug", then melds into "Machine #2".
🙏❤️😎
Rock on, bro 🤟😎👍
I hope he is doing well.
Great Show! sorry He lost Pamela Brown in the stairwell
Sounds like Leo Kottke but he was always so neatly attired and clean shaven. 🙂
Beards are in now. He looked fine to me.
Look at his smile and you know
Is it an 000-18 minus the pickguard??
Looks like it!
