Thanks Frank appreciate people watching a leaving comments , always good to hear from others especially if they are local and know the area. Its a lovely location especially for bluebells, getting there early has its advantages, lovely early morning light if you have a clear sky the downside is at thus time of year sunrise is early and fast !
Some really beautiful images in this one Lee with beautiful colours and superb light, switching over to ICM and macro (or close ups) as the light changed was a great example of really working the location. Well done
Great video Lee! I really like that King's Wood location, seems to be a great local place for your woodland images. Some lovely shots in this one,. Especially the one at 5:12. Beautiful, soft early morning light coming in from the side on that one. That first ICM was really nice as well. Really enjoyed the video and images mate, a great way to start my day today. Hope you are doing well over there!
Thanks mate , it's a very popular place locally , I parked in the small car park but by the time I returned this and the main car park further up the road were both full. Many people come to this woodland especially this time of year, thanks for watching mate, I am doing well, hope you are to and the house hunting is going well , looks a beautiful part of the world mate.
Very Nice Lee - some superb images - Looks like a nice wood for Bluebells. I always struggle as the bluebells I always find are in really cluttered woods.. I'm based in Bromley so not a million miles away - may have to make a quick visit although past peak I think already.. :-( Will need to bookmark for next year.. Have subscribed to your channel & look forward to seeing your back catalogue. Always good to see locations etc. from photographers in same 'neck of the woods' Cheers, John
Thanks John , it's woodland , I slays find this genre really difficult to get right. Still rnjoy trying, glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the sub. Fee London cityscape vlogs a little closer to you. Thanks again mate 👍
@@LeePelling No probs Lee - like yourself I really like woodland but do find it difficult. Have also been up city a few times. You've got some stunning images on your webpage - well done - I'll take a detailed look over the coming days..
Listening to your narrative and watching the film was so reminiscent of my trip last week to my local woods Lee !! Got there 5.30 a.m. and quite dark whilst waiting for the light but when it emerged it rose so fast ! Started with the 24-70mm and then like yourself, cracked out the 70-200mm. Some great images especially 08:47 with the light and shadow contrast. Loved the ICM - definitely a marmite genre and wished I tried some (although I have done on another recent shoot which I haven't released yet either) Great work on the macro too. And of course we could all do with the mist ha ha . Wise words in the outro - I too saw trampled areas of bluebells which is really quite disheartening. Anyway - thoroughly enjoyed this one Lee and all the best.
Thanks Andrew, the struggles of a landscape photographer lol, it was a lovely morning and really enjoyed it, I did feel a little under pressure as I knew the best of the light just would not last , think I need to scout out locations better so I no my potential compositions as trying to find different compositions at the time, as you will no, is a real challenge. Glad you enjoyed it, appreciate you always watching and taking the time to comment, looking forward to seeing more of your results. Take care mate 👍
Great video Lee. I was up there yesterday myself. Walked up to Bluebell forest from where you were parked. Got a couple of ok shots considering it was late afternoon. Must try to force myself to get out of bed earlier. Looks like it's worth the effort.
Hi mate thanks for watching, definitely worth it mate , also seen a few images at sunset , in the right location that would work just as well. Appreciate the comment, thanks again .
Great video lee, I loved the ICM one ! That’s a really nice looking forest ! Loads of comp potential in it with well spaced out trees ! Glad to see you out getting amongst them !
Hi mate, thanks for watching, that area of the woods is pretty small but i just had that gap in the woods in mind and this time of year i knew the sun would rise from that direction, finally got a little light . The main woods is much bigger sadly its a very tightly planted woodland and really struggle to get and interesting looking trees , need to do some more scouting !
Thank-you Sue glad you enjoyed it , thanks for the comment , as I said in the vlog ICM is like photography in general I guess, very subjective buy I was pleased with that, glad you liked it 😀
Better results this time, really nice shots. I love the backlight to some of the images, you got some real great shots Lee. I enjoyed the vlog very much, thanks!
Nice pictures Lee, love them. Were you towards the South side of Kings Wood? There are some great carpets on the North side also, just off Canterbury road side of the woods too.
Hi Dean, thanks for watching, i parked at the small car park for Kings Wood, a little further along the road of the main car park, short walk around a track through a field to this little area , its not the most visited area but i was waiting to see if i could get that light through the clearing. Im sure there are lots of areas within Kings wood i have not visited yet , really must get out to scout some new locations, thanks mate !
The tripod is the three legged thing Winston , think they have a version 2 out now, great tripod from a great British company. The head is a geared head from Benro , after many years using a bullhead u made the switch to a geared head and for landscape photography it's fantastic. You can really refine your composition easily with the geared controls. Thanks for watching hope that helps. All the best.
Lovely
Finally a vlog that you are happy with regarding Kings Wood bluebells 👏👏
Thanks mate , just lacking a bit of fog lol
Nice pictures .. getting there early paid off plus the extra light adds to the shots . plan to get there before the bluebells die off .
