That 70's Show rings so true because it's pretty close to our circle of friends in the mid 60's til 1970 when I got my ass drafted & sent to Nam. After discharge from the military, and even though most of us were by then married with children, we picked up right where we left off & continued our crazy partying ways for another couple of decades. Lifelong friends we were. Sadly, I'm the last of the crew.

When Ashton Kutcher left the show, never the same. Imo, Topher leaving.......so? Everyone(or seemingly, most viewers, it seems) hated Randy and the 8th season. I actually dug Randy. Only thing I can see people hating Randy for is that Topher was original cast, and Josh Meyers was not. Following that logic, if the sitch were reversed(Josh being o.c. and Topher last season replacement), I imagine people would've lamented Josh leaving and hated Topher.

I think the best part of this show was the act that it speaks to every generation. I was born in 76 but this show is me and my high school friends. Its that thing where you go through so much change. Almost 41 now, but while watching this show, it was like I relived my whole life. The friendships, the loves, the heart break, The stupid antics, the relationships with family, and realizing that life doesn't always turnout how we thought it should. Much like every stage of my life, The awkward start, the wonder of growing together, and the pain of change and endings. Thank you to everyone who made this show happen.

The Pilot for me #1. To compound on that, the first season is the best. Everything was brand new. Ideas and concepts were spot on. Just brilliant. The stars were aligned for everyone. If you have watched the series as much as I have, then you know what I'm talking about. There is so much going on in the first episode with the character development and setting the tone for things to come. It's really amazing and very well done. Most series take a few seasons to get things going. This one was off to the races on day one. Its the perfect show IMO. My wife and I get our smoke on and watch every night. It never gets old. Cheers.

Eric is my favorite character but Hyde and Jackie were my favorite couple. It’s great seeing a couple that starts out very contrasting but you then started to see how their polarized personalities rubbed off on one another. Like when Jackie decorated Hyde’s room in Christmas lights, candles, silk sheets and fluffy pillows. He put up a front but underneath loved it. And it was noticeable that Hyde made Jackie a more open minded person who wasn’t finally afraid to come out of that “popular, rich, cheerleading” box she was constantly in. Then they put her with Fez which destroyed that character arc for Jackie because with him she could go back to being like she was with Kelso because Fez would wait on her hand and foot. Mistake on the show’s part in my opinion. The episode in which Hyde and Jackie broke up was even more sad to me than when Donna and Eric did. Plus the acting on both Danny and Mila’s parts really helped.

I think Hyde might not really exist as a character. He might just be a manifestation of the darker side of Eric Forman's personality (like Mr. Hyde to Dr. Jekyll.) In the Halloween episode, it is revealed that Hyde was blamed early on for something bad that Eric really did, and that this was the point at which Hyde's life began to "go wrong", suggesting that Hyde is the receptacle or symbol for Eric's darker impulses. When Eric convinces his parents to take Hyde in, and Hyde begins living in the Formans' basement, it's as if Eric has succeeded in getting his parents to approve of or partially accept his other side, his darker nature. Hyde represents the anti-social, rebellious person that Eric secretly is inside, and wishes he could be. Which is why Eric treats Hyde like a brother. They are two sides of the same coin.

Well, cool theory, truly is. But....Hyde's parents? The fact that all the guys dated Jackie except for Eric? Hyde's sister, Angie? Hyde's father giving him the record store? I mean, I love your theory, but, there's just too much other stuff.
