I quit watching Witcher TV show after a couple episodes.. The Lore was broken immediately. I'm 55 and a gigantic scifi/fantasy fan and read everything ever written multiple times since my teens. It is not difficult to follow Lore, all of this is done on purpose. Pass.
Ironically the lore master for this upcoming game was praising the tv show and antagonistic towards people who criticized it. Literally was saying "yeah maybe they got some things off and other things were questionable. But they are definitely passionate and deeply care about the lore in the witcher". Which makes no damn sense how he said that. But it also reminds me of what he just said about this game. "There will be bs lore offending things in the game and it won't break the lore". Just looking at the bar he set, everyone should be really concerned. Also he hates gamers. Bunch of nasty tweets about us guys

EXACTLY! I was making the same point on X that it’s an announcement show with a couple awards thrown in. Someone responded saying “you know how boring that would be if it was just awards?”. That’s irrelevant, it should be about the AWARDS being it’s an AWARDS show. If that’s boring, then don’t watch. People don’t watch the Oscar’s to find out what movies are coming out next year.
I mean geralts story is finished, Witcher 3 made that clear, it was always going to be ciri in the 4th game. Just because a protagonist is a chick doesn’t mean she’s the protagonist just because of that. She’s not normal, her going through the shit to become a Witcher seems possible
It's not possible. Even for ciri specifically, aside from being a girl, she would die. Because of her elder blood. Regardless, the lore master on this project is brand new. And he was a game journalist for thegamer before joining cdpr about 4 years ago. And the dude is really antagonistic towards gamers. Also saw a tweet from him talking about making a witcher school that will welcome everyone unless they are a "conservative bigot". So yeah. Doing a useless thing like turning ciri into an official witcher is purely for the agenda. She didn't have to go thru the trials to be a monster killing machine. But they did it and ignored all the lore. It's crazy seeing fellow fans defend this decision when the guy heading the lore and making sure it all fits, hasn't even been involved in any other game, let alone another witcher game. He did make tweets about lobb loving the Netflix series tho so if you weren't cool with the lore breaking bs that show did then you can expect more of that
I will wait until the Witcher 3 comes out and watch RUclips reviews. I am interested in getting the Witcher 1& 2 remaster. I will watch the youtube review on those 1& 2. I will pass on the Witcher 3.
@joethealternativegamer3935 you know sometimes when you do not care about a product. You do not really pay too much attention to details. That is how my brain reacts interest about The Witcher 4. It is just another number. I already have The Witcher 3 on GOG, STEAM, and NINTEDO SWITCH. I Also have The Witcher 1& 2 on GOG.
