I think you're right about the development of Mario Party 8 having started on the GameCube. I think it's another Wii game that was originally planned for GameCube.

Man I miss playing this Mario party. I remember it being pretty good as a kid but all the motion control elements seem really tedious in retrospect lol, and that little Hudson bee logo brings back a lot of nostalgia. Great vid

i miss it too… I get some nostalgia with minigame that you shake the can and the snow rooftop along with the Koopa town board
