I went snowmobiling in Utah yesterday, Polaris rmk pro 800 155 we rented. Ill tell you what, I have the utmost respect for you guys and the amazing skills you have not only as a rider but your ability to communicate and talk through all your videos. Also you guys must be incredibly fit to do what you do all day and sometimes night. To my credit we were between 9000 and 10000 feet in elevation but still you guys all deserve the utmost respect in what you do. Thank you for the inspiring content.
@@folms110 just above beaver Utah. Went to the end of highway 153 past eagle point unloaded just past puffer lake. Nothing crazy but a lot of terrain and very beautiful. I live In Las Vegas and do everyone under the sun off road. But man sledding is THE BEST.
I know back in the early 2000s late '90s I believe they built anti-ractioning drivers that actually protruded through the track along with having the side drives. These new tracks have all the windows cut out of them for weight reduction we used to have to cut them out on some of the tracks for the anti ratchet piece to stick through. I'd look into that if it's a big issue
Always nice to see a feller doing some of his own maintenance! Dare I say "mildly satisfying "? Thanks for all the late night editing to bring us great content! Safe sleddin'.
Maintenance - very important. I try and get my sled up on a stand and drink at least one beer wheeling around it on a stool with a grease gun and a flashlight... you find more than you would think!
Did a two dayer off trail this weekend and a group of 6 was spent. The fact you throw out fresh videos daily and do what you do? That’s commendable. Sick content bud keep it up.
Why no new videos the last few days?? Hope all is well and that you didn't get hurt on the mountain! Hate posting a question like this on here but I don't have any social media and haven't seen your daily uploads of the season in the last few days. Once again hope all is well and love the content!!
He posted on his instagram story that he took a plane back to Ontario to spend the weekend with his family and to take a little break. He also said that he’s posting a video tomorrow morning.
with as tight as you run your track, the noise you hear is likely the belt slipping on the secondary as the belt narrows. sound and feel are similar. great job and great rider!!
Hey Matt! Col videos everyday for us to enjoy! thank you! And you are probably missing the plastic ring that goes with the steering rod booth rubber. at least mine 18 free ride had them so the booth moves freely on the rod
Just watched Turcotte's 9R vs. Boost video. Can't wait for your 9r vs. G5 Turbo. But I would also love to see a G5 Turbo vs. Boost video because it seems very apparent that the Boost hasn't kept up since you aren't seeing any of those videos this year. The G5 Turbo seems like it doesn't need to be over ridden like the Boost does. Also, would love a 9R vs. G5 580 since Dallas has one. Would really love to see the difference there because the 9r is just so much more expensive and doesn't seem to be worth it.
Hey man I was watching the cboys video when they went to revelstoke recently and I saw your truck with the 9r in the back too bad they didn’t collab with you would’ve been a sick video
Hey Matt we love watching your videos it's been a few days since you've posted everything okay? We live in Steamboat Springs Colorado we've been getting hammered by snow this year any interest on coming out and riding with us?
you must try 10 inch big wheel, alluminium with rubber. crazy change of power delivery. could help with the ratchetting and better power delivery out of your engine
Have you considered trying a big wheel kit? It might not necessarily stop or prevent breaking rods but maybe it’s better than tight tension and a tight radius combined. I have never run one but might put one on my shredder since I have 9” wheels sitting here
I love your Chanel. Every day when I get home from school I watch your videos. The Polaris is my favorite but that’s because I have had Polaris sins I got my first sled. Keep up the hard work😊
Love the content so far, I think I found you from a Syxxes mention and the boys at the Snow West Mag podcast. I’m surprised you’re not running that Rasmussen tunnel Gaurd I keep seeing. Looking forward to the next riding videos and geez man all those tools and no side cutter for snipping those zip ties. Keep up the great work, entertaining for sure.
You should check the tension on your chain case, it may be slipping and not the track. Seems the chain stretches bad on the new g5 turbos. Ak toy rentals is re tensioning them on a daily basis.
Great video Matt ! Noticed the Chaincase oil looked pretty clean. Obviously never had any issues with the new quick-hub, but did you notice any excessive adjustment required during break-in? I'm just starting to get miles on my G5, and had to put about 1.5 to 2 turns on the adjuster through 2 days of riding - can't say i recall that much on my G4. Just looking to get your experience - thanks ! Enjoying your content down here in Newfoundland - hoping to get a trip out in that neck of the woods someday !
my snowcheck finally came in, almost 12 months after ordering it, get to pick it up next week no snow left here in Vermont, I guess I'll have a new sled next year...
Cool little mid season update. Hope you do an end of year run down too. Drive it like a rental :P Did you use an Airpod as a mic? Been thinking of doing this for a helmet mic, dont have the budget for a Rode right now.
Matt how about a comparison between your expert and your dads freeride. I know I didn’t ride it a lot but curious if u noticed much difference between them, tmotion , no tmotion, 34 vs 36 inch ski stance? Awesome videos 👍👍
My reeds blew out and was running on 1 cylinder on the 2020.5 gen 4 turbo. It’s the first year they made the turbo but it lasted almost 3 years. Was pretty scary though I thought I blew my motor
Boots on skidoo problem is due to snow getting under the hood melting on pipe and freezing back up in the steering and boots. Happened on both my g4 and g5 now. Only really does it on really cold days.. my experience anyway..
its about time you took a break how in the hell can you go out day after day and not be totally wore out, must be nice being young.Keep it up love the content, you guys rock.
I think I would definitely recommend installing extrovert drivers for that track, that's crazy tight. That misfiring sounds like a re flash issue,, detonation, likely from a lean mixture setting in the power band.
It has extrovert drivers, they are still slipping. Design issue. Misfiring is due to not changing the clutch for the elevation. He's over reving hitting a rev limiter causing the backfire.

Loved this style. Do more of these maintenance/talking about the likes and dislikes between sleds type videos
You should replace your worn out secondary spring to get the belt temps back down to where they were when the sled was new.
I have used the old plastic A-arm bushings inside the steering boots prevent them from grabbing.

Double wrap your zip ties on the steering boot. They should hold better by doing that
The track rods are probably breaking from tree trunks as you chew tight against them sometimes

Hi matt! Why do you dont ride your ski’s at the narrowest set up on your sled? You still have adjustement with your bushing.
