I appreciate seeing the mine, the operators and how the workers are doing. Besides being interesting it helps me see my purchases support these folks make a living. As always, I'm grateful for you sharing your knowledge and expertise.
I worked for Leonard Hardy from 1974 through 1979 beginning at Pinto Valley (Castle Dome) and ending up at Sleeping Beauty. Loved every minute of it. I started out as a picker and finished as a cat skinner. Really enjoyed your video on Kingman and am a new Subscriber! Thanks!
Have been to Sedona many times. If travel ever opens up again, I would love to go a little further north and see the mine in Kingman. Thanks so much for this information Paul.
Loved this Paul! I just happened upon your video, and I subscribed. I've been a fan of you and Judy both for years. Thanks for the great and interesting info on the Kingman Mine!
I heard the owners of the mine often stain the tan matrix of natural Kingman turquoise with a black manganese stain, to make the matrix more contrasting and beautiful. Is this acceptable and does it lower the value of the turquoise? The turquoise isn’t stabilized, just stained.
