The MB6's display on paper is larger than the HB6 even though when looking at both directly, it appears that the HB6 has a larger display. Just an FYI. Some of you are saying the HB6 display is too big. And some are pointing out that I'm siding with HB6 because of it's "larger" display. Bottom line - you choose what you like. I prefer reading more horizontally, rather than vertically. This video is just based on my personal opinion. PS: Another point to note is that the HB6 is 4-5g heavier than the MB6. Great comparison review 👍 in terms of size, the Mi Band lives up to the "band" name... It's just like wearing a bracelet and you can wear it with other bracelets in the same wrist. It's more comfy when you're wearing it while sleeping. The size of the Huawei band is almost like a smart watch already

I don't think the Mi band should be bigger or have a bigger screen. I mean, it goes against the point, Xiaomi does have a lot of smart watches, and making the mi band bigger would compete directly with those too. XD
If you had a mi band 4/5 next to a mi band 6 it would only take you 2 seconds to like the mi band 6 more. It's not that it's bigger display but more the fact it now uses all the surface for the screen, no more wasted space.

I feel this your review is biased against the mi band 6. The huawei is more of a watch than a band and the mi band still stays a band after several years. It's amazing how they've kept the form factor and still doing the best.
Why does it matter if it is a band or a watch? The reason people buy a band is because it is cheaper than a full on watch, but if a band is so good and cheap it is borderline a watch, isn't that a good thing?
@@mobai123 It does matter. Band can be used in physical activities so it should be comfortable and light in weight. You don't want 1lb on your hand when you run.
2 things to note - (1) notification in Mi band may be a bit hard to read but it shows the complete message; Huawei truncates the message at some point (2) Mi band's bluetooth is more stable; Huawei often gets disconnected with the phone. I find this annoying with Huawei when I want to control the music player; Mi band is connected every time I go to the music control. Hope this helps.

Personally I prefer Mi band because it looks more like a band and less like a watch. Huawei band is definitely closer to smart watch than a band in my opinion, i just prefer smaller more "band like" device.
Xiaomi mi band 4 user here, my band last for more than a month before recharging. The accessories like straps & protectors are cheap and a lot to choose from. I never had a huawei band before, but from their price range it's too much for me. I think I'll upgrade to xiaomi mi band 6. Huawei band 6 doesn't look like a band, it looks more like a smart watch. And I don't feel comfortable with it's size.
I'm using Huawei Band 4 Pro, and probably will stick with it for a while until they comes out with another Pro version which includes GPS. No complaints on the Huawei Health apps; they kept updating new versions and getting more and more efficient with power usage on the phone and the band they supported.
Tell me please H4Pro has o2 oxygen level measuring but in every review they indicate that this option is manual only so you cannot measure oxygen level during sleep. Did they already enabled that in the newer firmware??

@@hythemashraf2320 You can still download the Health apps from Play Store but the software update will be done from the apps itself. Before hand, you also need to install Huawei Mobile Services (also you can get from Play Store) and registered with Huawei account. Make sure you logged in the Huawei account in the Health apps and you'll get notification from the apps on available updates for the apps and the band's firmware. I'm using Samsung A71 4G and have no problem what so ever.
They're pretty similar.. but since most electronics I owned are made by Xiaomi I'm pretty much already "trapped" inside the Xiaomi ecosystem lol. I'm getting the Mi Band 6.
Actually, the strap is the main reason, why I tend to buy the Huawei. I had Mi band 2, and the strap died after less than a year. I bought to new straps and they both died in 2-3 months, because the metal lock is not reliable. I prefer the Huawei's strap as it looks more reliable. By the way, thank you for the great review!
Had the me band 5 for years, and I never got any problem with it. Probably going to buy the mi band 6 now. And yeah what he said about comfortability is wrong, the mi band 6 has a much softer and more comfortable band.

This time I would like to try a new and different health activity smart watch brand and to judge it myself if it's worth the price, quality, comfort and functionality it deserves.

The cost makes it an easy choice. I go pretty hard in the gym. If a $40 band gets smashed I’ll get another. Not sure about the expensive pieces that do the same thing.

Something important wasn't mentioned: oxymeter. Honor Band Oxymeter is a bit limited. You need to stay really standing still and with watch face upwards, or it just won't read. You can't let it measuaring automatically as expected, like blood rate. Also my readings are always about 3 percentage points lower than the finger meter. Mi 6 on the other hand can even track it while sleeping. I just would like to know how precise it is.
Me personally If I am on a right mind and want a bigger screen for text I'll just use my phone 👌 And I as a outdoor sports enthusiasts the smaller the better, want bigger display use your phone.
mi band 6 costs almost half the price of huwaei band 6 so at that price, it does a great job. It would be more fair to see the mi band against the honor band though.

I like your reviews. If you want to measure the accuracy of sleeping the only worthwhile consumer device is the dreem 2, but it's been discontent and is expensive. Second hand is the only option. Fitbit is also decent.

Quick question! (even to huawei band 6 and honor band 6 is like 99% the same) would you recommend honor band 6 or the mi band 6? To my knowledge another plus for mi band 6 are the 3rd party strap availability plus a 3rd party charging dock (which is kinda useful), but at the same time i LOVE the "visually" bigger screen on HB6 (yes, both honor and huawei's) and recently 3rd party straps for honor band 6 is getting better? Both bands are great, but Xiaomi gets my money here, because of it's size. The Huawei one is for me too big for a fitness band, but too small for a smartwatch. It's for me just not a great size to wear.

I don´t really care much about the notifications or fitness tracking etc. Maybe that is a strange request, but no-matter, given what I want what device would you recommend in this case? I founded the critical heart rate problem while workout on Huawei band 6. The hr rate will decrease than real hr when workout, and band usually lost connection from my phone.
I already have the Mi Band 5, only downside is the tiny screen, same as the Mi Band 6, so no need getting it, hopefully Mi Band 7 comes with a larger screen. I`ll go for the Huawei Band 6 once its readily available.

I have both of them. I like the larger size of Huawei but today the app and device have 2 different amounts for steps. I have never had that problem with the mi band.

I like smart bands because of their compactness and comfort. so the thing to consider what I'm looking for is good activity tracking. I think the overall features of the two products are almost the same, such as sports tracking from Huawei which is not very useful. Although Huawei has a lot of sports tracking features, I don't think it's accurate because it's only based on time and not based on intensity, so it looks good on paper for marketing purposes only. What makes these have more value than one another is only the preference of the buyer. There are those who like smart bands because they are small and convenient, there may also be those who like smart bands because they are cheaper and replace smartwatches.

The only weakness of the Honor band 6 is lacking touch sensitivity to wake up the screen when it is off and you have to twist the wrist or press the physical button. That I hope touch wake up will be back with a firmware update In other aspects Honor band 6 is much superior to mi band 6

Dude, basically they are almost the same except for its screen size and strap design. I think you should include the apps functionality of these 2 smart wrist watches since it is the brains of the watch. Cus I have a haylou ls05 and a mi band 5 yet app features from haylou doesn't give full adjustments to your watch like notif vibrations, bpm time interval readings, sleep data, etc. Compared to a mi fit app where I can adjust almost anything and data charts are more detailed.
i have the mi band 6. i also work at night and sleep during the day. what i did was i changed the region on my phone and matched the timezome to my work's timezone. it is also useful for the sedentary reminder.

IMO, people should keep in mind these are fitness trackers to begin with. If anyone wants to treat them like phone, then they should use a phone.

You're probably using alcohol to clean the straps, which dries out and breaks the material.

I come from mi band background and I am rather disappointed that Mi band only sends the heart rate and sleep info to Google fit, but not workout info. How about huawei?

Something important wasn't mentioned: oxymeter. Honor Band Oxymeter is a bit limited. You need to stay really standing still and with watch face upwards, or it just won't read. You can't let it measuaring automatically as expected, like blood rate. Also my readings are always about 3 percentage points lower than the finger meter. Mi 6 on the other hand can even track it while sleeping. I just would like to know how precise it is.

mi band 6 costs almost half the price of huwaei band 6 so at that price, it does a great job. It would be more fair to see the mi band against the honor band though.
The Honor band 6 is the exact as the Huawei, only diff is 10 kinds of sports and a plastic frame to the HONOR Band 6.

I like your reviews. If you want to measure the accuracy of sleeping the only worthwhile consumer device is the dreem 2, but it's been discontent and is expensive. Second hand is the only option. Fitbit is also decent.

Quick question! (even to huawei band 6 and honor band 6 is like 99% the same) would you recommend honor band 6 or the mi band 6? To my knowledge another plus for mi band 6 are the 3rd party strap availability plus a 3rd party charging dock (which is kinda useful), but at the same time i LOVE the "visually" bigger screen on HB6 (yes, both honor and huawei's) and recently 3rd party straps for honor band 6 is getting better? I would say to get huawei band 6 or 7, they are the same ad honor with more workout modes
Both bands are great, but Xiaomi gets my money here, because of it's size. The Huawei one is for me too big for a fitness band, but too small for a smartwatch. It's for me just not a great size to wear.

I founded the critical heart rate problem while workout on Huawei band 6. The hr rate will decrease than real hr when workout, and band usually lost connection from my phone.

I already have the Mi Band 5, only downside is the tiny screen, same as the Mi Band 6, so no need getting it, hopefully Mi Band 7 comes with a larger screen. I`ll go for the Huawei Band 6 once its readily available.
Screen of the Mi band 6 is quite a lot bigger than the screen of the Mi band 5 because it uses the whole front instead of just a part.

I have both of them. I like the larger size of Huawei but today the app and device have 2 different amounts for steps. I have never had that problem with the mi band.
your health app also tracks your steps thats why. just stick to your band's tracking and you are good to go

Nice review. I don't like wearing watches, my phone keeps accurate time. But these devices offer a lot. Like the bigger screen an soft band.
I like smart bands because of their compactness and comfort. so the thing to consider what I'm looking for is good activity tracking.
I think the overall features of the two products are almost the same, such as sports tracking from Huawei which is not very useful. Although Huawei has a lot of sports tracking features, I don't think it's accurate because it's only based on time and not based on intensity, so it looks good on paper for marketing purposes only.
What makes these have more value than one another is only the preference of the buyer. There are those who like smart bands because they are small and convenient, there may also be those who like smart bands because they are cheaper and replace smartwatches.
Can you compare the huawei band 6 versus amazfit bip u pro, they have the similar price but different fitur, smartband versus smartwatch. In their price range, which one better to choose, huawei band 6 as smart band, or amazfit bip u pro as smart watch?

The only weakness of the Honor band 6 is lacking touch sensitivity to wake up the screen when it is off and you have to twist the wrist or press the physical button.
That I hope touch wake up will be back with a firmware update

Dude, basically they are almost the same except for its screen size and strap design. I think you should include the apps functionality of these 2 smart wrist watches since it is the brains of the watch. Cus I have a haylou ls05 and a mi band 5 yet app features from haylou doesn't give full adjustments to your watch like notif vibrations, bpm time interval readings, sleep data, etc. Compared to a mi fit app where I can adjust almost anything and data charts are more detailed.
Any comparison for the apps? Can integrate with 3rd party service/app? (ie Google Fit)
Does both bands track day naps if its a long naps? Cause i actually work night shift so i sleep during the day.
i have the mi band 6. i also work at night and sleep during the day. what i did was i changed the region on my phone and matched the timezome to my work's timezone. it is also useful for the sedentary reminder.
