It’s.... well... I’m not sure I can even put it into words that would make sense to “normal” people. It’s like a red soul of a slipper that fell in blueish purple paint then made a 1000 copies of itself until it turned into a beautiful sun setting over your backyard piano. ITS THAT AMAZING! ( to me ) Yes, thank you so much Mr. Fairfield. My 0!0’s are opened!

An unknown genius. Though I always find it disappointing when he plays songs without lyrics.
His singing voice is so unique and wonderful that failing to use it feels like a waste of his talent.

Speaking as both an instrumentalist and a friend of Frank's, I am sad that you cannot appreciate the excellence of his instrumentals. If you study / love the vintage music we do, long enough, you may come to realize how rare his talents are in playing this music exactly as some people played it 100 years ago. That is very uncommon. Many people can play the TUNES, and read the NOTES, but very few get the STYLE and IDIOM correct, or understand it, or even simply care. Do you feel this way about all instrumental music, or just Frank?

@@andrewbarrett1537 Not everyone connects with fiddle music like we might. I think that's where that disconnect might come from. Unless you listen to instrumental fiddle music it can sound chaotic or dissonant to an untrained ear. Also, I think he is more complimenting Frank's voice, not criticizing his playing.

@andrewbarrett1537 his banjo playing is mesmerising. I play different ways, 2 finger/clawhammer/Seger style/ 3 finger bluegrass...none of that would play the way Frank does, it's a sort of 3 finger/uppicking style? Is there any RUclips video our there showing how to play it, man I'd love to play thar way
