I love these folks and their music. I’m blessed to have seen them live (at the Jones House in Boone NC) and I'm glad I bought one of their CDs. I especially love the song “Blown Back With The Breeze” (at 43:16 in this video). I also saw Martha a few years before with another person and bought that CD (¿Whitetop Mountaineers?) and I continue to enjoy that CD too.
Well, Martha made us wait 'til the very end to demonstrate top notch flat foot dancing, in those most glorious boots. I'm surprised she could wait that long. 😄 These folks are the real deal and I'm so glad that the Kennedy Center Millenial Stage engaged them for a performance.
I can't believe nobody has commented on this enjoyable performance. Martha Spencer's flat foot dancing at 56:00 is amazing enough, and that's on top of wonderful singing, her brothers' fiddling, both ladies clawhammer banjo and down home country humour. The crowd was so quiet I wonder if anyone even had a pulse! What a waste on that room. But I loved every minute of it.
Agree, Martin. You can find more of their music on RUclips, and they have CD's for sale. (Posted 7 years after this live concert, and it still sounds fresh, with great talent and sincerity.) So testified, from Shenandoah County, VA.
What a wonderful concert. These women are such strong, expressive singers. All three are so smooth. Love this. ❤️

Yes..For once a mature audience who enjoy listening to the music instead of the usual screaming, hootin and hollerin' in between every verse.
