@@ebux9885I'm sorry but those changes were long overdue. I generally support valve but the competitive ranks were way too broken for way too long. So it feels like we've been handed something that should have already been here a long time ago instead of something new.
If CSGO was like source the community would have been able to do quite alot.

So what they did for the past 10 years. Kinda emberassing that they barely make stuff for their own games.
the point is that CS was driven by Community maps since at least 1.5 and they appreciated it by adding community maps to the pool
@@nergal2741 The first CS was made by fans why don't valve stick to half-life where they were good and let some professional coders work on counterstrike. Nobody asked for a new game we just wanted CSGO to be better. Then they were like we just updating this into a new game , then it was this is a new game and guess what the old game you wanted updated we are scrapping. They didn't listen they have bad communication skills.

Every operation was better than the one before that. But the last three ones were all (except from the cosmetics) a step backwards.
So I'm not even sure if I should get excited for a new operation.

For me, Vanguard and Wildfire were the best ones, a well made story lines that makes you enjoy it a lot playing the operation.

There is no operation, because that would involve Valve having to actually work on their products, and that is just not their thing.
The "terror hunt" game mode likely might come out in a wider push for CS2's new game mode coding stuff instead of an operation: we have seen the new coding system's proof of concept in the Arms Race game mode but we are yet to see it's wider integration into the community workshop. How about mini operations with game modes voted in by the community?
Honestly, I don't think this update is bad, we just expected it to be something else. At least this way it seems like they are still tackling issues the game has rather than spoon-feed us another way for them to make money. The operation would have distracted the community for a while, maybe, but that doesn't mean the problems would have just disappeared.
The point is that this update is not bad, but just not enough AT ALL! You feel me?
And they aren't even fixing many issues and bugs lately. That worries me...

the new maps suck, and we dont want new maps. we want the old maps that were taken from us... cobblestone, train, lake, agency, etc... and danger zone!
I'm pretty sure there wont be an operation before shanghai major as they want to re-introduce overpass with gameplay changes into the active duty pool. They would probably use this time to create a 2024 Overpass collection.

Yeah but you make money from them and if you invest you make even more. They also add new skins, maps, gameplay features, game modes, etc. with it.

The truth is that I always tend to support but this was the last straw. We deserve more, we are supporting and enduring everything in a beta game to which they add animations and nonsense that no one cares about, even... it feels like they think we are idiots, or maybe people didn't know they could download the maps the workshop? Nobody played them and now they won't either. They fill the market with stickers but they hardly ever add new skins, we have been waiting for 1,000 days for an operation that they promised 1 every year. We don't have anticheat, the ranks are garbage, the winning streak and lossing make all games the same (13-5) we don't have maps that people really want like cobble, train, cache... mirage and dust 2 are the same years ago, come on... the one who recommends the following updates at Valve seems like the creator of Valorant wanting to destroy CS.

Forget about the cash grab typa new features and a new Operation, we do actually need only one thing: A working goddamn Anti-Cheat. If they insist pushing a update that contains a Community made maps and a simple* UI(MVP) change, at least they could've activate OVERWATCH, fix the Trust Factor, and make ACTUAL changes on ranking system because it's literally unplayable at this point. I, myself as a 10 years of CS player, I quit CS and refuse to play until it's getting fixed

at this point , i'm going back to my first thought when all these "leaks" got out , that the 25th anniversary is like the 15th anniversary , it's not meaningful enough to make an update for , like not even sticker capsules worthy , and i'm not following the hype train anymore , brazilian player FER once said "i don't play this game to have fun" and that's what i'm feeling rn , i just play it because i'm a competitive person so i play cs to compete and be serious (casual serious tho i'm not chasing lvl 10 or fpl, i don't have the time to grind) and that's about it , this game will never be the same anymore , maybe i changed but i don't think so

Sorry to say this but I will stay away CS2. No "real" content has been given for a while, and they calling this a "major" update. Idk, playing mm is boring, arms race/deathmatch also boring after 2-3 games. No operation, no new case, no battlepass system ...etc. Lack of content from a multi millionare company. would rather stick with other FPS games.

Was the update good? yes it was good. But then again people were disapointed and have the right to be.
1. They release the maps that we could already play in the workshop, but now we can play competitive on it and get ranks, most of the players will not even touch most of the maps because lets be honest we don't have a reason to and we either play faceit or Premier (if only valve could give us missions and rewards to play those maps).
2. 25th Anniversary for your damn game and all we get is a post on X, its not like it was the perfect timming for something like an operation(LOL).
3. Riptide ended 21st of February 2022, its been 2 years already valve could at least give us a little something of content to do in game, last case we got was killowatt and was just that a case nothing more and it has been 5 months
4. This update felt like valve saying to us "here take this maps and rejoice", in reality we had more game modes in csgo (like retakes, dangerzone and Flying Scoutsman) they didn't even added a gamemode, the only thing they did this update was update de mvp banners( i mean its cool but no one asked for it LOL).

It is going the exact way as Team Fortress 2. Valve will slowly no longer do a thing about their game and just rely on what the community submits. All the while they will keep earning billions of dollars.

I think, that there arent many great maps on the workshop, so they dont want to "rush" the operation with the little high quality maps that are available. I feel like the Hammer2 editor is more complicated than the original Hammer, so it will take the mappers some time to adapt.

I uninstalled a few days ago and I don't regret it, full of cheaters, bad support from valve, and useless updates that were made by the community, meaning, Valve didn't do nothing. As usual.

No one would be as upset as they are if mainstream content creators did not hype this up the way they did. Anomaly, arrow, ohnepixel, and others really did the community dirty by hyping this up and spreading all this questionable info about dates and leaks and stuff that they don’t even really understand. I know that everyone WANTS a big update but keep in mind that CS at its core is the light in the darkness of games with constant battlepass, no trading, no community modding, etc. focus on the positives and consider if you want the negatives that come with a faster content cycle
CS is still the ONLY mainstream competitive FPS with opportunities for independent developers to generate content (skins, maps) AND be fairly compensated for their work. Valorant, rainbow6, COD, etc have NO opportunity for community involvement at this level.

This community is so far gone. To think an Operation is content when you get 3 more slot machines is just insane to me. Just use a fkg skinchanger if you really need other looking pixels or except you're a gambling addict and go gamble somewhere with better odds. I miss the time CS was a community game, where sprites are just interchangeable and gameplay was king. Now people cry in joy if they get community made stuff and can gamble for it.
