I love this matchup so much because Tokido is a sage like dude, always trying to stay composed and calm while Itabashi is a gremlin in the best kind of way. You can tell they both have mad respect for each other and the rivalry is the stuff of legend.

Chavanun Siphomsay It‘s actually better for him, because you learn more from your losses than your victories, evos is just around the corner now! And it‘s no easy task anyway, you got to lose at some point, there is to many strong players and little mistakes can easily lead to your loss.
people love saying gief is solid and underplaying how bad he is, even his best players have 0 results with him and lucky wins few and far inbetween, its sad really four years of a trash character and the community will never admit it and keep saying how cheap/ good he is. smh

Gief is just hard to win with due to his character archetype but, I don't think he's remotely bad. He's definitely not top tier or top ten but, he's nowhere near the bottom. The issue is that this game has too many ways to deal with grapplers and Capcom is scared to make them too strong. Look at Alex and even more recently, Abigail. They practically destroyed Abigail because of bitching from the community. I hate Abigail but, even I think they went a bit overboard with his nerfs and I think Gief could use a few minor buffs to round him out into a super solid character.

I really hate broken cheap projectile characters like Akuma. It's doesn't matter how good Zangeif player you are, still can't beat that crap. So much respect for Itazan.

Itabashi Zangief is not easy for Akuma as shown in the past.
