What a pleasant surprise for a wet Saturday afternoon. Cheers Dylan.

I’ve been sailing for 40 of my 50 years and am completely with you on the emotional magic when the sails fill and the boat starts to slip along. With your excellent patter and lovely music it’s a wonderful inspiration for my next adventure once my children have grown up and I can cast off my company directorship in London. You even reduced me to tears when mentioning your father. My dad, who got me into sailing when I was10 is now on his last legs and will soon cast off for the last time. Fair winds and blue skies to you.

Nobody, absolutely nobody captures the essence of sailing so well as you. There's no silly competition or tactical strategy, just the simple joy of sail in a beautiful environment. Fantastic footage, audio, and commentary. Thank you. I watched this from my boat on the hard, an unyielding lump of furniture upon which the rain falls and the wind moans.

I always think it is weird watching sailing films while on board... I do it too of course.

"four ton shit box" LOL! There's something about your videos, Dylan, as they start I can feel the stress and tension drain from my body as I begin to relax; it's a wonderful feeling. I think it must be that your sailing is so unhurried, and without pressure - the kind of sailing I prefer. When I'm earning proper money again I'll be happy to contribute once more, but, alas, that is likely some time away. I hope you can wait, and we MOBs not lose you in the mean time.

If I were a rich man, which I am not, I'd finance you with a new boat and bankroll you with enough cash so you could sail to your heart's desire filming and documenting your travels with the grace you always seem to apply. Alas, I am but a moderately poor fellow, land locked in the middle of the USA. I can only dream of seeing what you have already explored. Thank you for pursuing your work and sharing. I am living a slightly happier life because of this little video. When any of us contributes to the joy of others that is a good thing.

Hey Dylan! I just noticed you have an inner forestay ... That's not factory is it? Cutter rigged? Is it removable? I like that it has some sort of covering. Is it for use with a storm sail or is it just for Jill to lean on? I'm interested because I am installing something similar on my newer (old) acquisition... Sorry for all the questions...

no worries - it is there to keep the mast up - best fitted masts I have ever come across - you could lose any one of the stays and it would not come down. I have put a steering sail in the inner forestay. The plastic tube is there to protect the genoa. I miss the boat. Best one I ever owned.
