Hey Glenda, since I watched the doll TP cover, loved it and wanted to make it….I’ve looked everywhere for a 9” doll to use, cannot find one anywhere! If you happen to find them on the internet, please let us know! Thanks so much for all you do
I also found a few of the dolls at Maxway🥰 and guess what most of the craft stores around me don’t sell premier yarn 🥴. That’s ok I’ll get something similar unti I figure the pattern out. I would love to have the bed doll also. I never had one but I remember them. I think that would be beautiful in a yarn or thread with a beautiful drape or shine.
.i must have deleted my response! I do not have a MaxWay store near me but I purchased two at the roses store. Yes I remember seeing these at my grandmothers homes and I’m excited to re-create them thanks for your help!
Oh, my goodness, Glenda! Talk about vintage! These were in every bath of every home I was in as a young girl, with the exception of my own home! What a treasure!
Boy talk about nostalgia! I made so many of these back in the 70s when I first learned to crochet. Practically every person on my commuter bus saw me making them and ordered one! I sold a lot without even trying!
I really love these!! Do you remember the bed dolls. My grandma crocheted me one 40 years ago and I wish I still had it. If you can do a tutorial sometime that would be so neat..to me at least!!💕🥰
Yessss. That’s what I thought of when I saw these. My ninth birthday cake was also the doll cake with icing dress like this. Nostalgia ❤️ I never got my own bed doll but ohhh how I wanted one.
Glenda my Grandmother made these. She crochet a parasol for each and made a ruffled bottom like the old southern belle. I have been looking so long, so many year for her pattern. I don’t know how to thank you 🙏 ….I wish I could just give you a big hug. You will never know how grateful for this….. thanks thanks and. Million more thanks
OMG! I used to make these many years ago. Back then all the dolls were plentiful. I also made so bed dolls for my neice 2 years ago.. I still have the patterns for all the dolls. These toilet paper dolls remind me of birthday cakes my mother used to make for me. She would put the doll in the toilet paper roll and make a hole in the center of the cake. She would then put icing on the cake making it look like a dress. Love your tutorial. Very cute. Thanks for the memory.

Could you tell me where you got the little dolls? Thank you
can you do one with cotton yarn ty
I went to that site for the dolls and the 9.5 is discontinued.
You can buy a taller doll but you would have to cut the legs down to 9 inch tall
@@CreativeGrandma I thought of that but the idea of cutting off the legs just I couldn't get it
