- Top Gun: Combat Zones review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Top Gun: Combat Zones for the GameCube.
Released in 2002, this game was developed by Digital Integration and published by Titus, the company responsible for releasing Superman for the N64, which some consider to be the worst game ever made. However, Combat Zones isn't that bad. In fact, it actually controls a lot better than game released today, and although it does features some elements which show its age, it isn't terrible. No, it probably isn't worth your time, but it isn't an abomination.
This video review features video gameplay footage of Top Gun: Combat Zones for GameCube and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Gabe.

If it doesn't have Danger Zone in the soundtrack, then what's the point?
I loved this game as a kid. I beat it and went to Gamestop looking for a new top gun game and found Ace Combat 5.
You never finished watching Top Gun because you got bored of it? How old...no I mean how young are you son?
As a 29 year old in 2022 with Top Gun 2 out in theaters. I also haven't watched the movie. But I will try soon!
@@Rafathy Great movie! I strongly recommended BOTH.
"countless videogames based on the movie" - you mean you can't count higher than 8? Hardly countless.
This was my favorite GameCube game.
If you liked this you will love Top gun hard lock 👍🏻
damn i used to love this game as a kid and i didnt even know it was from a movie lol
There is one reason about why i like this game, GRUMMAN F-14 TOMCAT
This game should've added a scenario maker.
It would be really cool if they let you make your own missions with their pre made maps.
I don't think it would've even been that tough either since the voices are pre recorded, and all the enemies spawn in off screen when the game is telling you what to do.
And it probably would've benefited from having a survival or endless mode.
in my opinion this is better than top gun:hard lock.
I wanna buy it after seeing Top Gun: Maverick.
Meh. If you want to get a great fight-action game for your Gamecube, get Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader. Also, here's another game people thought would turn out to be terrible because of the company that published it, but it turned out to be okay: It's Stoked for the Xbox 360.
I have this & its decent
@2007pepsilover So how exactly was Derek not being mature? Can you give me a specific example? :D
Wow he thought that the game was going to be bad, and he was mature about it, derek could learn a thing
@Grippli78 He calls people out for liking and hyping games he doesn't like (Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong 64).
it was simple but i playd it hours as a kid
You can’t spam there are limited weapons on every mission. And you can’t get through the Movie? How ADHD are you.
i had this it sucked
One does not simply not finish top gun.
To groovy man
A Titus game? 423/423!
GOOOOOSE!!! NOOOOO!!!
Where is Kevin
Play ace combat it worth it more better then this
@blizzofozz He left cgr months ago
ohhhh yeah
yay
The game is essentially a poor man's Ace Combat. It's very poorly designed in comparison.
lb8068 Its still pretty fun though, then again that could just be the nostalgia talking.
@@ayylmao575 definitely nostalgia talking. my dad and i finished this game multiple times together and we almost gold all mission (screw you academy 3) when i was in grade school. i replayed it and, yeah it's as barebones as it gets
Third.
