Thank you for reviewing the Little Red Campfire. The adapter for the 1lb propane tank and that it lasts about an hour was helpful content.

Great way to meet park rangers during fire bans; offer smores after they see it's propane and they calm down. Used for 8 years so far with adapter/large propane tanks. Added lava rocks. It hisses at highest settings but that doesnt bother me. I love it and it's warming me up on my porch while I'm writing this. Oh, also, I've turned the cover upside down to use for carrying water in primitive camping conditions for years.

I love my Little Red! Thanks for the review. I guess this video is a bit dated...the "bundles of wood" are between $20-$25 (in PA at least) these days... so the propane option with the 1 lb canister is definitely cost effective as described! I am using a 10 lb propane tank because I don't want to carry a bunch of 1#'s....BUT, if I run out...I do have a couple of 1#'s for back up.Thanks again for a great review and good advice!

You still liking and using this? Great review by the way and I’m really glad you tested the time. It’s a bummer to not have a camp fire during this no burn times and would be nice. We huddled around a mr buddy heater (because we were freezing) but it wasn’t as neat as that. although on the buddy we were able to bring it inside

Just got mine in the mail. Haven't tried it out. Construction looks solid except for the cheap clips that hold the top on. They really blew it there. The one clip is bent and keeps falling out of the holes. I wonder how long it will be before I lose it at a campsite in the dark. Otherwise it looks good. It wasn't cheap though but will save a lot of screwing around with wet firewood, buying little farting bags and wood chips all over your trunk and such. Not the same as a real fire but they make it so inconvenient now with regulations abound, this seems the way to go.

When the flame is set to very low. How many hours will this burn with a 20lb. Propane tank ?

I bought this unit today because of this video. I am camping on Memorial Day in a county that does not allow campfires and we just can't go without. Yes it's pricey but oh well. It IS a novelty item so that means it's "extra" so I am okay with the expense. I did buy the one which is 2" bigger which was probably even a bigger waste of money but IT'S SO COOL!

Using the Little GREEN can of fuel is NOT cheap unless you have the adapter to refill them.

HEY!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if this will be answered.... I FINALLY tried mine tonight.... I bought an open box/never used unit from ebay......exact same hookup configuration as yours...... I had NO flame.... REAL tiny flow/flame for a second and then nothing..... I never really heard the hiss from the propane flow on the brand new 1 lb tank, which tells me something was obstructing the flow.......... any clues????? thanks!

Can you use Lava rocks in this fire pit instead of the fake wood? Thanks

Was that 1 lb propane cylinder full when you started? I like the unit.... Just dont know if a pound of fuel an hour is feasable.

Think this could be used inside a big 11ft wide CLAM brand screen room enclosure?

Do yourself a favor, don't even unbox it, just put it in the Trash Can and save yourself the embarrassment! This is junk, you won't like it!

Only If you have free firewood and no real campfire ban. Unfortunately campfire bans are very common so we wind up using ours a lot. A lot Better than no campfire at all.

Good and helpful review. I'm assuming I can use this wherever I would use a gas grill. Similar concept, just different application. I was wondering about this little beauty for a while, and you answered my questions. Thanks.
