The Man Who Revived Balmain

After Pierre Balmain passed in 1982, his eponymous label experienced varying levels of success with several different creative directors up until 2006 when they were facing bankruptcy with not much hope in sight. Deciding to look inward towards the most proven designer they could get their hands on at the time, they gave the reins to former Paco Rabanne Creative Director Christophe Decarnin, and the rest was history.
