Devil wears Prada. This movie changed my view over Prada. My first opinion was like probably Anna Wintour likes Prada. To me late 90s Prada is a huge inspiration all those shoes and bags... The Italian color combinations. Everything about Prada is dreamy. The brand's journey is spectacular and I feel lucky to witness and follow Pradas journey since 90s I was a kid. I am jelous of you and a fan of you dear Miuccia. Lots of love x.
PS To make nylon bags and price tag them gold price is genious.

It's amazing to me that a certain type of sleeve takes a year to learn how to make. To say fashion is frivolous is to throw up in the face of a serious skill. Every piece is a creative work of art and the medium is us, our thoughts, our culture and world. I've been falling in love with fashion for over 20 years; it's too late to stop now - the appreciation and joy fashion and style can generate is vital and important to humanity.
Literally this should be THE defining statement that represent fashion and it’s velocity to the world
Really good . I’m very satisfied with this mix . Raf’s music coming through and Mucia’s intelligence and experience. Beautiful clothes and well shot . Perfection ❤️ And the question section is so appreciated. You’d never get this a year ago
The clothing was bland and far too safe, saying they're looking to newer designers to come up with the inventive garments is such a cop out. This collection was boring and an incredible cash grab, not impressed with this collaboration so far.

Kinda like everything Miuccia and Raf had to say actually. And the collection seems to have been a perfect amalgam of both their psyches, which is fascinating.
9:05 wow i love the fabric on that coat. i really enjoyed this show in general, lots of subtle touches there and there which create an unsettling, yet strangely familiar atmosphere of the modern times. the silhouettes on dresses and skirts bring me back in time for sure.

I'm so honored and thrilled to begin my amazing journey with the PRADA group at the 5th Avenue NYC Flagship boutique as Sales Specialist. Starting this month. Ever since my early years at Bergdorf Goodman and opening the Prada Mens shop. It has always been my dream to one day join the PRADA exclusively. . These two Icons have given new meaning to "Art Imitates life" With this extraordiny Collaboration.
Wow! I was wondering why this collection has a different feel from other Prada collections. I then realized that it was Raf’s influence-his sportiness, a modernist touch to the romance of the clothes, like he did famously at Dior. What an intelligent, forwarding-thinking, and, yes, beautiful collection from Prada.

Yes. Agreed! This whole thing has really allowed my sarcasm and dark sense of humor 2 Flex. I'm not sure why it is so much fun to make jokes about sketchy, sloppy, and impractical fashion. But hey man, why else have a quad espresso, and a teleworking job? And maybe I'm only amusing Myself & no one else thinks I'm funny. But then again oh, I found an insect hobbyist guy who sells bugs online, and I laughed so hard 4 almost an hour, the next day my cheeks and stomach hurt because I laughed hard for an hour. Really like to get Prada designers together with the bugs in cyberspace guy, and just see what happens.

someone help me pick up my jaw from the ground... BEST COLLAB EVER, BEST DUO EVER, ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS IN SOME TIME! Raf, Miuccia, take my money, take my soul, take me with you! I would give everything to be surrounded by them, EVERYTHING! 🙌 Love the shoes, love the deconstructed turtlenecks, love the skirts (reminding me of his time at Dior), love the tailoring mixed with the nylon. I'm only halfway through the show, but I can't help but fall in love! 🙏
I like this collection too, but Raf seems to get carried away in pressure sometime, lets hope he will last for at least 3 years at Prada.
La Chic let's hope so! But as he said in the talk after the show, it's easier for him to work in a team with Miuccia; he feels more supported, less alone, I guess. He doesn't have to take all the hard decisions by himself.
I'm looking forward to everything that their ”collaboration” will bring! 🙈

You are wrong, there is one designer, rei kawakubo who creates clothes/things that have never existed in time before. That’s her goal, that’s what she does. Her collections’ clothes are all legitimately new, and rei rejects history. Rei kawakubo designs for comme des garcon, check out her iconic collections like body meets dress or 2d collection from 2012. Rei has invented what has led to the deconstruction aesthetic, asymmetry, and juxtaposition.

It's the ordinary people that don't know fashion who underestimate Prada. In the industry, it is the biggest and most brilliant ever.
@@erickmiranda6082 That is mostly true, I live in a low income area and when I show my friends not just Prada but any luxury fashion brands they think it's weird. But not all of us are that way, I'm still in high school but I really appreciate the art in Prada.

I dont underestimate Prada and Miu Miu because I always look at clothes objectively first then subjectively to appreciate the work behind the seams. Pun intended. 😅

I'm right up there with Miuccia when she says making new stuff for the sake of novelty is irrelevant today. It has to carry a deeper meaning. It's not the Zara logic anymore of constantly churning out new stuff for the sake of change. By the way, Prada doesn't have an image of community Raf. It's all about Miuccia. Prada's not Margiela.

I love the choices of designs and colors of bags, shoes and you gave emphasis on the brand prada while marching. Your choices are very classic and wearable unlike the choices of other brands in their fashion shows.

The official lockdown collection ... from the way they hold their blanket-coat (w bag included on the back?!?!) as if it’s to simply run outside to get your baguette and go back home within the minute,... to the pyjamas, large hoodies that you throw on your shoulders,... to the accidental DIY bangs and haircuts ... Very good, from head to toe, from A to Z, as always!

what's the reference for the show, why are the models holding up their clothes while walking? also, what is the prints represents on the clothes? anyone know?

The jacket clutching is actually a reference to a viral image of Miucca
The clutching of the coats could also be a reference ti the 50's, especially during the height of couture where women would have these opera coats that they'd clutch closed because they didn't have buttons. Raf is obsessed with midcentury couture; his last collection for Jil Sander featured a bunch of "clutch Coats" and many of his collections under his brand also feature the same idea.
Because Raf Simons loves this mix as much as he did for dior, jil sander

Very thought provoking collection. One of the best ideas in the collection are the draped nylon bags, the idea of making the nylon more sculptural. And the idea of uniforms, wearability, references to how Miuccia herself dresses. A strong starting point for this collaboration.

As times become increasingly complex, clothes become straightforward, unostentatious, machines for living and tools for action and activity
Too much action and activity. Not enough poetry and creativity. But again poetry and creativity are not the ideal "tools" for constant production and consumption. Function over form kills creativity turning humans into machines indeed.

Nice pieces in this show. So far the shows I've seen this year has been awesome.
Feels like Prada is trying to let us focus more on the hair and make up of the model instead of the clothes. Is Prada going to open branches of hair salons? I feel like the setting is good but feels like some models are wearing too large shoes and they can not even walk well. I do some some nice handbags and backpacks, but the rtw is ehhh, I think Prada can do better.
