DeeDee cracks me up. She adapted to being a tractor riding farm dog on a level I would have never guessed!
Right! DeeDee sure did get lucky to have found Brooke & MaryCarl that day..
I was thinking just that when I saw her little head bobbin around there!
🤜🏽🤛🏽😸
She's feeling all the love they are giving her. ❤️
Just like she had being doing it all her life ❤
When they realize they will be able to come out in the mornings they will go into the pens by themselves. As Brooke said it will take time and consistency. I felt bad for Mildred, she looked so concerned and wanted to be with the goats, I think she thinks she's a goat too. ❤❤❤
I bet her and Jesse bunk down together tonight. Like having your own room is not that special if you have no one to cuddle with.
It’s going to be interesting when she has to live with Moody. But at least their pasture is right next to the goats.
@@jerrilynhenson9024I think they said they would keep Mildred where she is most happy... so I dont think they would put her with Moody if she was not happy or Moody didnt like it.. or it was just not a right fit.
We trained our alpacas to separate into groups for eating and herd health, depending on their specific personalities and needs. It took a few tries but they perfected it and Holy cow did it make our lives easier! We love how much you love your critters! Have an amazing day! ❤
Alpacas are smart animals, for sure, but THAT is impressive! Friends of ours have an alpaca farm on Vancouver Island (BC, Canada) with over 30 head so I've spent some good time with alpaca over the years. They really do have their own personalities, that's for sure. Some are sweet as pie and others are true scallywags! I've been there for sheering day a few times... man, that's a LOT of work! The friends who have the alpaca are both seniors, so it goes to show how alpaca can be easy to have around.
Of course they have the males and females separated except for breeding (which they don't do anymore), and there are heirarchies amongst them all, but overall they are easy enough to tend to, feed, etc. ("easy" meaning easier than many other animals in a herd that size). They certainly know who their people are! They're such funny little critters for sure.
Ok, I've totally monopolized your comment here. Sorry about that. I hope you have a lovely weekend and a great week next week!
Heather🇨🇦
@heatherd.9390 it's great to hear from someone with alpaca experience! We had 32 and loved every one of them... they are simply amazing critters! We unfortunately had to sell our herd, but they all live within driving distance, so we are able to visit with them occasionally. They will steal your heart! ❤️
Alpacas I haven’t had to hang out with for farmsitting but I’m guessing they’re a bit harder than chickens but less hard than horses/cattle? Lol
I think this is why social media is amazing we all follow cog Hill n care for what others have to input❤
Alabama sunrises and sunsets are the most beautiful in the world. Of course, since I was born in Alabama, I might be a tad bias. Jason, you have a touch of Daniel Arms in you. ` Come on goats!` LOL
Holly takes a bath anytime she feels the need. Gosh, she is such a happy pup. You are a match made in Heaven.
Oh my gracious 😂😂 watching Jason scratch his head on the post made coffee come right out my nose 😂😂
I had a major belly laugh and my belly still hurts from laughing so hard.
Jason and Brooke I am over the moon watching the move of the family animals. I mean this…I really feel like I am with you. I am actually excited. My heart is full thanks to the Cog Hill Family. I can still see Mary Carl running with her family of goats followed her. Our very own pied Piper. Cog Hill family of animals are soooo happy so well taken care of. All is well.❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Hey, that's what I said, too! Mary Carl looked like Pied Piper with all the goats running after her. I was beside myself with joy. I know a lot of people who don't understand my fascination with farm life but y'all do and for that I'm quite thankful.
@@Kymberlee_W i was wondering if im too emotional. Almost wanted to cry with joy for some reason. Yay Im ok :)
Amen. We feel like they are family.
Amen
Always like watching yall ;) Every episode is like an adventure. I live vicariously through your every day life. I don't care to watch the lives much, but these, love!
Wow !!! What a team!!! Have you heard the old saying speaks volumes.... Your attitudes and respect for each other just ripples to everyone. Thank you.
Amen
Absolutely
They make me smile
Maybe once they go in to eat close them in until they finish then let them out? That way they associate the area with food and they'll realize they will be let out after they eat. It's so exciting to see everything coming together and how happy the babies are 😊 Blessings and love ❤
It was so nice to finally see the animals in their stalls. Cannot wait to see the rest of the animals get their new homes.😊
Could yell, GO NITE NITE, like Judy does lol. Mildred was checking Topper out. Was so cute.
Those babies are so smart. They’ll catch on in no time. Giving Jessie and Mildred the freedom to move around will keep predators away like you stated. Plus you have guardian dogs on the perimeter. You two have this figured out. The one thing I know for sure . . . those beautiful babies are so blessed to be in such loving care. 🙏🏽💓
The goats have a beautiful new home. Brooke you are a tractor professional great job.
Snug as a bug !!! They’ll catch on, so cute seeing Mildred looking inside the barn.
That little angel, DD, is so at ease riding on your go-cart. She fits right in.
Right! DeeDee sure did get lucky to have found Brooke & MaryCarl that day.
What an awesome video. Don’t forget the “Bedtime “ word every night so they know what you want them to do. I remember Brooke saying we need to remember to say that when you were at Sneads family farm!!! ❤
It will take time they will learn the new rountine. Judy tells all her animals to go to bed, and they go to their own areas. You both did great 👍!
Good morning Cog Hill and all of the Cog Squad. It won’t take much longer and all of the animals will put up for y’all. It’s just a new routine for them to learn. They look so comfortable in their new home. Y’all be good.
We use one of those Triangles like they had on Chuck wagons to let the cowboys know their dinner was ready. Just give it a couple of rings and our animals all come to the barn. They know it’s feeding time. Works great for us. No hollering and scaring the neighbors. 👍
They will get it soon enough. It makes me smile seeing them in the new barn and pasture 💜🐐💜🦆💜🐓💜🐕💜🐖💜🐴💜🐄💜🐈⬛💜🐔💜🐶💜🦜💜🦃💜🕊
Brooke, you are an expert tractor operator. Pretty good adaption to the new area. Y'all have worked so hard to get to this place. We are happy with y'all for all the improvements to your farm.
Amazing woman
It looks it was a success in getting everyone in their stall for the night! That barn is a cat haven with all those ledges for the cats to climb on!
The moon is beautiful now.!! Time to see Jason and Brooke dance under the Harvest Moon to celebrate the big move.❤ congratulations! Job Well done.❤👍
It is great to see the animals so happy with their new home
I think this is so telling how much they trust you. Nobody knows what exactly you want but they are calm & attentive. They will learn this quickly because they are smart happy animals. Jason, I share your love of Winter Sunsets. The Pacific Ocean contributes to make heart stopping beauty. I Love being taken along❣
That little Mildred is as cute as she can be! Theyre all so precious and I love how sweet you are to them. I baby my animals too It makes me happy to see them happy! Have a great day!
That was brilliant! The goats will soon learn what's expected and Jessie and Mildred will look out for them. Lovely to see the new stalls developing and doing their job of housing the girls.
That was an amazing move. They were a little confused, but with daily practice they will be pros. I can't wait to see Moody and the boys move, if that's the plan. Good luck and God bless. ❤
Soon as the other fence gets done Over they Come!!!!
Love little dee Dee the tractor supervisor
🎉 It went smoother than expected. It's gonna be so amazing having the barn!
What a wonderful setup for them! I’m sure it won’t take much to train them to go in each night. I can’t wait until the other animals move over. It will be fun to see Mildred’s interaction with Moo Man! It’s all coming together. TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
Yes, I'm super curious about how that will go. And I like that J and B are paying attention to what Mildred may like the best, once all possibilities are tested. She is a large animal so I could really see her enjoying that super large space they made for the bovines. It's all just so much fun to watch!
Yay so exciting seeing the animals in their new huge pastures 😊😁😊😁
This was so exciting to see where you placed their hay and the table and I got a kick watching Mildred scratch her back on the Portahut. They will learn where to go it’s just a learning curve . Can’t wait to see what’s next ❤
You could create an obstacle course for the goats now they have more space, that would be awesome .. just loving what your doing for the animals ❤❤
I think of the table, brush, metal shelter, and hay stack are enough obstacles. Gotta leave some room for grass to grow, right?
@@barbarabisson2551 I don't think there'll be ANY problem with enough grass. 🤷
@@lindamaskus5142 hard to say. The last area they lived on is mostly dirt. They do tend to pull grass up by the roots when they eat.
Job well done Brooke and Jason.
Good morning. This is so fun watching all the babies explore their new home and learn new ideas. Will be a learning curve for everyone and as you learn you will make things easier
It's a process to teach new routins but from the looks of it yall are doin a great job ,,,I love seeing the new barn come to life with the animals there so happy for both them & yall ❤️ 😊
Good morning Co Hill! I bet you and Brooke are feeling mighty satisfied with the fruits of your long hard labor this summer. Congratulations on a project well done! On to finishing the rest or the pastures and gardens and pond and…..lol. You know your will always being starting another one! You keep filming and sharing and I’ll keep following!
the outdoor stall may be intimidating because it confines them in a small area where they can be easily caught by a large predator. Try putting them up in the inside stall. That may allow them to feel more protected.
Yes... I was thinking the same way. The predators could see that as easy catch... the whole bunch of them in one confined spot with no escape. Out in the pasture, the animals have room to run away... a way of escape. I don't know much about putting animals up at night... it seems too crowded or congested to sleep and eat to me. They are used to having their own personal space as well. Then there will be all the cleanup of poop in each one of those stalls... inside and out... lots of work added to the daily chores as well as smell. Not meant as a criticism, just an observation....
💕💕💕💕💕
Michele
All I can say is….wow! That was something else lol they will learn just like they did in the other pasture. Y’all did an awesome job! Thanks for sharing with us. I love it! ❤
I love watching all your dreams come to fruition your animals are so well-loved and behaved❤❤❤
Good Morning Cog Hill, I love how they are using and loving their new expanse of pasture. Shows that they are a Community of Explores . They love each other and you and Brooke it shows in the bond and caring connection you have made. Great Job moving them and orientating them to their new surroundings. 😊👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️
****🌺 It was so sweet to watch the animals filing into their stalls. Glad to see them using it! 🐄🐐🐐🐐🐎***
hey how do u get ur comment written differently lookin on here? i like it 😊😂
That went pretty well and they will get use to the routine in time. Love how you love and take care of the animals.
Good Morning You All ! Hope you have a great day. Have a great weekend. You could always leave Jessie gate open at night so she can come and go at night to protect. Lv and Prayers to all.
That's what they did. They left Jessie's & Mildreds gates open.
Hi there 👋
Wonderful job with the goats, Mildred and Jessie! So organized and it will be so easy once everyone gets the routine!
This has been so exciting. You all did great. What beautiful barn and so happy are these animals. Thank you for sharing.
This is just so much fun to watch! What wonderful life for these farm animals. Looking forward to Moody mooooving over! ❤❤❤
Hat’s off to y’all!! You have done so much work to get the animals fixed up. Happy Fall 🧡🎃🐔🐄🍁🐖🐏🐐🍂🐑🐈⬛🐓🍂🍁
Thank you Jason and Brooke! I believe that the animals will catch on pretty quick. It might take a few days but they are smart. Much love to you, your family and all the animals! Always looking forward to watching the Cog Hill Family Farm channel. God Bless us all 🙏❤️✝️🤗🥰💖🙏
This is so awesome, to see how far things have progressed, from scrambling to get places set up to move animals from Little Cog to now. I'm so happy for y'all.❤🎉😊
That went pretty smoothly. They just need to get into a routine like you said. Good job Jason and Brooke! 🎉
So cool they re getting barn trained. They re gonna love it rainy and cold weather. I d feel cozy in that barn 😅 fun to watch ❤ yall
So exciting. What a wonderful adventure at Cog Hill. Each day brings a new part of your dream and the bigger picture to life. Just awesome ❤
Great job Jason an Ms.Brooke all good comes in big packages. They will pen up easy once they know they get a treat in the evening what great time to reward them every evening at the same time every evening. Your fur family has always learned great farm of the farm keeper's. Wishing all agreat evening. Jason will the boys go in the pod after the family is up for the evening..have beautiful weekend. Happy Friday hugs an kindness to all.🦋🏳️🌈🥰
You guys are always so patient and kind with all of your precious ones!❤
Looking good! Can’t wait for the rest to be moved!❤️❤️❤️
Jason and Brooke, that was another lovely video. I had a bit of a giggle when Tip got on the tractor with Brooke. Not only cute as anything I've ever seen but also the biggest goat I've ever seen on a tractor. Y'all should have a contest with your homesteading friends and see who can get the biggest goat on their tractor. :) Y'all take care..
Bruce at Doss farm wins by 50 lbs.& 8 inches.
Starting of a new day at Cog Hill! With love and coaching...oh and FOOD😊... animals are adaptable! That all went really good!
Deedee is certainly living her best life! She is so content to ride in your lap or stand while riding!
Good Morning. I love watching both of you two working together. Giggles and all. Doesn't work the first time, regroup, then try again. Your babies will learn the new routine in no time. Wishing your family a wonderful day.
Seeing Jesse, Mildred and the goats being tucked in for the night made my heart happy. I love this video. 💜🐾
You can train your animals to come to their stalls in the evening if you ring a bell whenever it's feeding time. Then, whenever they hear that bell from anywhere in the pasture, they will head to their stalls. You have done an outstanding job with your animals. Many Blessings. Also, I know that everyone is anxious to learn more about Marycarls pigeons. Any eggs yet?
Awesome I sure am enjoying y'all,, it's going to be nice to see nugget over there as well as moody, and peaches, y'all have come along way ❤😊
You have such a beautiful and peaceful looking farm. And watching the goats and others out laying around is soooooo wonderful. Love the 3 of you too ❤️ ❤❤ love that barn .
You guys are awesome, these goats, cow and donkey going to love their new home! ❤️
Awww. That was so sweet. The animals did really good for their first time to pen up. Thanks for the super enjoyable video. ❤❤❤
You will get them. Little Jessie is as small as the goats. So beautiful. 😂😂 wow i would give anything to be living there and doing what you guys are doing. So beautiful
They are gonna love the stalls once they learn the routine ❤
Well done Brooke and DeeDee on moving the hay! Brooke always likes a good challenge. Wow moving the hut and picnic table. You're on fire, Brooke! That was exciting to see them go to bed. I believe after a few times, they'll eventually get it. Too bad you couldn't hang the feeders against the barn wall instead of the fence to distract them from trying to get fed from the outside. But I understand the feeders are meant for hanging on the fence. Great job Jason and Brooke. Look forward to more "going to bed" episodes. ☺
Love the babies new homes! The barn is perfect!
Jessi definitely needs a friend poor baby ❤
The goats are a hoot trying to round them all up in one place. The barn layout is working perfectly. I could not be happier for everyone at Cog Hill.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a great day! Judy Snead is going to be so proud 😊
What a fabulous home you have made for your animals. They are going to be so happy 😁. OXOXO to you and all your family and animals ❣️
You guys have done a wonderful job of creating an environment for your critters that embrace all the best of their old space into this amazing work of love! Blessings to you all❤🙏❤
That went pretty well for just the second night. They seemed to like them. Especially Mildred. She chose to stay in even when you both walked away. Can’t wait until you get all of the animals get over too! I’m sure you can’t as well!!
I think Night #2 went quite smoothly. Not perfect but better than most animals adjusting to new spaces. I believe most of the credit goes to Brooke, Jason and MaryCarl's obvious love and respect for all their babies. The babies aren't necessarily afraid, just a bit confused. I admit I am anxious to see Peaches', Moody's and the Sheriff's initial reactions. Also GusGus and Loretta, of course. Well, in all honesty seeing all the babies transition into their forever pastures will be so heart-warming.
Y'all truly work so so sooo hard for all of the fur babies and all of your viewers.
THANK Y'ALL 💯💙🙏
It was nice to see that the animals went into there stalls with a little bit of coaxing. I think once they get use to the routine of going up at night it will make it easier for you. Great job Jason and Brooke. Have a wonderful day.
Y'all need one of those old cast iron dinner triangles to hang up and ring when you feed the goats and animals at night 😂. Pretty soon they'll all come running in when they hear it.
Omg Jason pretending to be a goat scratching on the scratching pole was everything lmbo
Maybe the goats don't like going into an enclosed space instinctively. Could be maybe feeders could go on outside of the enclosures for rhe goats? Jessie seems fine with her feed in her enclosure.
I love how they all love their new pasture! 😊
It is just All New They want to feed inside so they will go in to be lock up at night.. That the whole point.. Like Judy Animals Time to go Nite Nite!! Safe!!
How fun was that!
How fun was that!
So does this mean the kittens will get to go outside now? Or are they confined to the milk room while the big animals adjust?
Love watching you and your animals.
Jan
I love the sunsets at your farm, I can look at your sunset and almost smell the memories of being a horse owner on a pig farm, there were a couple cows too so all those smells combined were so wonderful to me. I miss that smell and the interaction with the animals. this sunset you showed puts me in mind of those days. Thank you for that
What a fantastic video ❤😊
Best family on RUclips ❤❤❤
Heeeeyyyyy❤. One group down and the boys and Moo to go. Great job guys. I think peaches will be fine roam us on he own with her own bedroom of course. God’s blessings
Happy Friday🎉hope it's a successful day😊much love Coghill❤
Forgive me, I couldn’t help but laugh when you were trying to get those goats in the right pen, it was like herding cats.😂
Brooke you are one smart woman!! You are too Jason! God paints beautiful pictures!
Everything is coming together wonderfully.
Great job, well done!
Love how you care for all your animals. They are so lucky to have you both!
Jason, every time you say it should be easy..it's not.
Your animals will fall into a routine and then it'll be easy. I'm looking forward to when they use the brushes.. moody will be the first, then the bucks..you go Brooke! You are a natural with the tractors.. I think your goats are amused to see you scratch your head Jason.. they'll get it....lol it was a true blessing that Dejay and Daniel gave you Jessie, she's a very loving donkey, she loves you.
Good morning CogHill and CogSquad 😊
Suggestion - stay in the stall - goats relate food to you!! They are following you!!!
Yep, a new routine to learn for everyone, all is well! Teamwork! Now go get a good nights sleep, nice moon shot, love ya'll !
Put feeders away from opening to entice them all they way in!!
❤ good Morning ❤
Jason put the barrel next to the gate that you want them to go into. The visual point of reference will help them out AND it's closer for you anyway.
I don't think those kittens will go anywhere....they love their barn.❤
Congratulations!!! What team work!! Tucker made all the difference!😂
