- Time to start working on the body of this old girl. I scrape, sand, scrape and scrape some more. But I finally got it ready for the primer.
You have to check out Woller Auto Parts and talk with Don. He has 85 acres of classic cars and this is where I got my C10 truck and this Thunderbird. Just go to the link below.

Nice work!
Lots of work to get done but you are getting there
Nice work Matt, I wish I was at that stage lol, keep at it, it's good motivation for the rest of us trust me! ;)
Thanks Dan.
Hello Matt. The 'bird is coming along very well. I was so looking forward to more sanding, though! Lol.

Lol.. you will get your wish soon enough
Hello Matt you can just use a wire wheel on your 3 inch grinder and it works well.
I liked the scraper around the windows and doors but I think I would like the wire wheel on the floors and trunk. I guess I'll find out on the next project. Thanks for the comment.
Just found your channel today and I'm totally enjoying them. I've had one of these for nearly 50 years. I can turn a wrench but body work isn't my forte. Mine was restored (professionally painted) about 6 years ago but I've been working on it since I first got it (my first car).
Cars in the late 70's were pathetic performers and my stock T-bird could spank just about anything on the highway back then. It had almost twice the HP of newer cars!
I'm glad you found the chennel. We fell in love with this car and can't wait to get it back on the road. I love that you've had yours it's entire life. What a great story.
Hey Matt, after seeing your video, I took my blade out of the saw, and I did have to thin the mounting area of the blade to make it fit...it's been so long ago that I've been using this tool, I forgot I had to do that, it looks like I just lightly touched it on my grinder wheel, as flat as possible, and just a little bit on each side.
Sorry about missing that part when I suggested it.
No problem Alvin. It didn't take much work to get it to come off. I will remember that though for the next time I need to use it. Thanks for the additional info.
Wipe down with a foam spray window cleaner on the primer before you paint
