@@lynette50 haha me too, over 2500 hours of gameplay. I turned to modding to have even more fun, and further enhance certain aspects of the game, at least in my opinion
@@NL-SanderH89What I find extraordinary is how the game has been out for seven years, and I’ve played it or watched it countless times, and there are STILL new things I’ve never found before. I don’t think there will ever be a better game imo.
@ only rockstar has a chance to transcend this masterpiece, with gta 6 or perhaps rdr3. Otherwise, no, i don’t see that happen either.. I’m still very upset they put all their cards on rdr online, instead of giving us a singleplayer dlc. If any game ever deserved a dlc, it’s this one.
Finally, someone who listens to the characters' conversations quietly and attentively. It's lovely that she let Javier hop on the ride, unlike most other players who scream about the beauty of the environment, miss every conversation and ignore Javier.
Pretty soon, you'll develop the habit of what I call the Rockstar Howdy. That's when an NPC says hello to your character and you say hello back. Not your character, you. Alone. In your room.
Love how you play, lets players either commentate too much, so that they talk over the cutscenes and dialogue, or they nearly dont share anything. You do it just right, cant wait to see your reactions to this masterpiece, personally my favourite game off all time! Love the music and score in this game too, just had to add that.
Streamers are the worst, they don't shut up and are too distracted to pay attention to anything. As if their chatters aren't there to watch people play the game.
Your attention to details and commitment to immersing yourself is fantastic. Too often do people just rush this game. I always say that the story is only 30% of this game. The other 70% comes from exploring, reading, and interacting with the world and characters. Hype for this series!
I don’t think it’s possible to see and do everything in the game. Seven years and numerous playthroughs later and I still haven’t. What I love about the game is it’s so full of life. Everything that happens seems like it would anyway regardless of whether you’re there to see it.
Beginner Tips: - Expand your compass to better see objectives, paths, and enemies. Hold down on the directional pad. Keep an eye on the compass frequently. - Loot, Loot, Loot. Talk to people, explore, pay close attention to details and dialogue. - Your face should be moved to the bottom right of the screen, but slightly up. - Use RB to take cover when in combat rather than crouching. This is why you kept hitting the wall instead of your target. - Display names for the caption in the settings so you can familiarize yourself with the characters. - Feed Arthur regularly or he will become skinny and weak.
Expand your compass to better see objectives, ? Worst thing you can do spoils emersion with the small one making it bigger ruins the game even more so.. Im on my 5th play through i just have it off now much better.
@@Anthska I agree, I mean I wouldn't recommend turning it off for a beginner but when I first played it I just put it on the small one which worked well for me
This game is a rollercoaster of emotions, with an incredible story and moments where you simply stop and appreciate the living world that Rockstar created it, I hope you have fun, just a tip, whenever possible, do the secondary missions before the main one, this opens up new dialogues and new encounters in the main story.
oh good lord, another youtuber playing this masterpiece I’ve yet to accompany😂 I CANNOT WAIT for you to play through this beauty of a game…. to certainly laugh, and certainly cry, and have the best time ever without spoiling much…. this is probably, in an overall technical and storytelling terms the best game ever made i’m currently playing the first Red Dead again (which takes place after this one, so the chronological sequel)
Hi. This popped up in my feed and I'm glad it did. You have gotten to grips with the game already and I can see you are already enjoying it. This game is going to stay with you forever and that's a good thing. Enjoy it all. It's fantastic.
I love Red Dead 2; it is super immersive, but in my opinion, Cyberpunk 2077 is the most immersive game to date. Great video, by the way; looking forward to part two.
I suggest putting names on your subtitles, you can do it in the settings, its easier to remember names that way, and know names of who is talking to you.
You'll find that the Gang members try to hurry you along, They'll be impatient and shout at you to hurry up and such but IGNORE them. It'll get annoying. That's the only advice I have the rest of the game is yours It's one hell of an experience.
If you loot enemies before the end of a mission you won't be interrupted. For example, while Sean is hanging upside down from that tree, just leave him there and search everybody. If you try to loot after you free him, someone will catch you and you get into a witness trap.
looting is honestly pointless, you accumulate so much money just by playing through the story. And not having a lot of food or tonics from looting makes crafting worthwhile.
Heyyy wow amazing video!!! I love RDR2 sooo much... One of my favorite games ever!! I'm very excited to see your reactions to what happens later in the story... Also try the Online version after you play the story!! It is so much fun!! 😍😍😍😎😎😎🤠🤠🤠✨✨✨💜💜💜💫💫💫🔥🔥🔥
Hi Krissy, New sub due to RDR2 being my favorite game. This game is 6 years old and took 8 years to create, and still rivals most new games. Please take your time and explore and enjoy as much as you can in this world. Knowing you are many episodes ahead, not sure how much tips will help, but here is a couple. You can move your camera to the middle left side, just above your health icons, to not block anything. You can also add the speakers name for subtitles in your settings ( helps to familiarize yourself with the gang ). Taking some time to explore hunt, cook, craft, clean your weapons and care for your horse will help Arthur in his adventures.
I'm replaying the game having originally played it back in 2018 & I'm loving all the new folks going on their own journeys in the RDR world recently. I'm finding so many things I didn't back in my original playthrough & this time I'm trying my best to take things slow & hopefully get as close to 100% completion as I can. I know you'll enjoy this masterpiece & I'm hoping you fully immersed yourself in all the game has to offer, not just the main missions. Either way, excited to see how you navigate this.
always happy to see a new RDR2 play through. some advice; when traveling with a gang member during a mission, try not to go too fast because you might end up missing dialogue
I Have no idea who you are, But have been watching RDR2 reactions and have found yours I've subscribed and looking forward to seeing your playthrough. Play the game how you want and enjoy 🙂. This game is still Next-Gen compared to most current releases 10/10 game
Press down on the D pad and get out of the compass, go to regular mini map. It helps a lot more than just a compass (yes it will show you the area to go)
Ohhhhhh yeahhhhh You'll love the game as millions of others had. As someone mentioned, just go for a horse ride through the countryside. Go hunting, fishing, enjoy nature. This is too funny, since the winter months are harsh, here in Europe and I've got time, well - let's go for a 2nd ride after many years ❤ It's just as fun as the first time and I'm soaking in the scenery 😎
Just subscribed to your channel, love watching new play throughs of this amazing game, tip search everything, everyone and everywhere, you'll find alot of things, enjoy!
Get ready for a time of your gamer life ,Krissy. This is gonna be an epic journey for u ,I'm sure. Congrats on finally able to start to play this legend.👏👍
I'm always amazed how everyone who plays the first chapter is reacting more to skinning deer than to killing it. I guess people don't kill animals much so the feeling is too distant. Fantastic game. I wish I could play it again fresh. I need a tattoo "Play RDR2" in case I loose my memory in an accident or something. It would be the only upside 😂
can't wait to watch the rest of your playthrough, wish i could play this game again for the first time but seeing others experience it fills the void a little bit 💙
TIP: There are a lot of random events or interactions when you walk around camp. There are some great conversations between the gang that are easy to miss.
Hey Krissy, So this game rdr2 plays before all the things that happened in rdr1, the 1st game, wich came out in 2010. So after this game rdr2 you might want to play rdr1. Graphics are less ofcours of rdr1.
I played this as soon as it came out. It was horribly frustrating due to the high volume of a-holes running around griefing whoever they could. It was so bad you couldn't get anything done, it was just a constant fight the whole time. For a while it had proximity chat too, and all you heard were teenagers calling everyone the "n" word. My buddies and I quit playing after about a month or two. About 6 months later we tried again, and the experience was a lot better and we played the living daylights out of it for quite a while.
A new Sub and WELCOME to the RDR2 World and this MASTERPIECE of a game. This game has changed and SPOILED Me to look at and play any other game. Enjoy and take it ALL in even if it take 100 episodes. Trust Me when I say, this RDR2 community will NOT mind.
If you keep your compass expanded as a minimap at the bottom left of your screen, it'll provide you with more cues as to where points of interest are, like where to drop off the O'Driscoll or areas you have yet to search. It'll even highlight the trail you need to follow after a destination has been set.
Do alot of exploring and do the side quests that companions in camp give you, they're white on the map and each quest comes with a unique thumbnail, for example house robbery with javier is a house with a 💰 sign with J (for javier)
I just have this to say about this game : Don't just do the main story , there is so much more than in this - many surprises good & bad - don't rush through it & enjoy your journey.
New sub here, this game is the best! I went through an emotional roller coaster playing this. Also, "Why you leaving" after you shot the guy had me rolling haha
ohhhh nice take your time... u will love this game.... dont rush it or just worry about story missions only... do the side missions to and also just explore have fun, do whatever. dont let people rush ya
This game is a masterpiece. I'm excited for you for the journey and adventure you're going to be going through. In a wide range of emotions that this game will put you through. So have fun and get ready for something truly amazing. Stay well and safe.🎉
In case no one has mentioned it yet, when looking at your map, mission objectives will appear as either white or yellow bubbles. If you want to fill out the story and get as many interesting side stories as possible, you'll want to take care of the white missions first. Yellow ones will further the primary story, and often, you won't be able to go back and do those white missions after completing a yellow mission. Regardless of what some of the characters might say about completing primary yellow missions, you can save those for later to complete the white missions first, and it won't affect the story's outcome.
this game ur about to play is arguably one of the best games in history and even after almost 6-7 years of it’s release, players are still finding out new stuff in this game so ur in for a ride of emotions fr, hope rlly enjoy the gameplay and the story
Hi Krissy, I am a new subscriber from The Netherlands. Ive played this game 2x and it is a masterpiece and for always my favorite. I will sometimes write here to help you as this game has tons of things. Since you pre-recorded, i hope that in your other videos of rdr2 you turned on in the settings, Speaker names on subtitles. That is my only request 👍🏽😇
The immersion is incredible! If you don't bathe Arthur enough in town, people will start to complain of his stench. Likewise, when you sling a skinned animal over your shoulder, you'll get blood on your outfit, and people will judge you. If you wear something ridiculous, people will make fun of you. If you leave a dead animal on your horse too long, it'll spoil and gather flies, and its meat will lose nutritional and monetary value. Walking around town with your gun in your hands will make people not trust you. If the law wants to arrest you, and you decide to go quietly to avoid hurting your honor, just put your gun away quickly, and they'll lock you up for a few days (the time will skip ahead to your release). There's so much more!
Howdy Krissy. You are going to enjoy this game, by the play, the highly Shakespearean story as well as the scenery. Just stick to the plan and you'll be in Tahiti before you know it.
This popped up in my recommendations just in time because just recently, I made the decision to restart this game from the beginning and actually pay attention to the story elements this time. 😅
You did a great job! Any new game is going to be a learning curve. You got a gold medal on your first hunting expedition so don't be too hard on yourself lol. Very soon you'll be a full fledged RDR2 master! Thanks for sharing your playthrough, new sub here.
You have a new sub here, I hope you keep enjoying this amazing game, I recommend you to do side missions and explore the map... that's the magic of this game apart from its story. Looking forward to the next video
Yay, a new RDR2 playthrough, just what I needed (As the one I've been watching is about to end!) I'll leave a few tips (Spoiler free, don't worry) - (And I know you said you've got a few videos pre-recorded so I might be telling you some stuff you've already figured out). 1 - Take your time! You'll get an army of RDR fans coming along to watch your playthrough, you'll get a small group (Like 5% or so) who'll just want you to fly along from story mission to story mission, but the other 95% of people will want you to take your time & truly immerse yourself in the world. 2 - Speaking of immersing yourself in the world, treat Arthur like you'd treat yourself - Feed yourself regularly (This can be done in different ways, for example by eating the stew at camp, or having a meal in a nearby town, or hunting & cooking something on your own campfire out in the wild). Keep him looking smart, cut your hair, have a shave, buy/change your clothes, take a bath (Each town you visit will have somewhere you can take a bath & a room you can rent for sleeping & changing clothes. Some are easy to find in obvious places, other a bit harder to find, but all towns have them). 3 - Your horse. Treat your horse like it's your best friend, feed it & clean it regularly. Make sure to always have a horse reviver on you (You never know when you might need one!) 4 - The Camp. The camp is a huge part of the game, you're going to be spending a LOT of time there. Firstly make sure the camp members are happy by keeping them well fed, this will involve you going out hunting each day to bring home food for everyone. Good targets to hunt are things like deer, you can find them all over, chuck one on the back of your horse & hand the whole carcass to Mr. Pearson. (You don't have to actually carry it to him, so long as it's on your horse & your horse is hitched at camp you'll be able to donate it to him). Secondly, talk to everyone! This game has SO MUCH dialogue, the camp is FILLED with different conversations & interactions, you can talk to members or sometimes they'll come up & talk to you, other times a group of them will be sat around talking etc... Even after multiple playthroughs spanning multiple years people still find new bits of dialogue they hadn't heard before! Also at camp keep an eye out for 'white missions' (As apposed to the yellow story missions) these are often only available for a short period of time & then they're gone forever, so if you see one it's best to do it right away. White missions outside of camp can also sometimes be time limited but have a longer time than in-camp ones - They'll usually last for atleast the chapter you're currently in.
Ah yes! Quickdraw has led to many unintended deaths in this game. It's generally best to draw your weapon while looking away from any unintended victims and then aim it at them if you want to threaten them without hurting them.
this game is the ultimate prep tutorial for GTAVI. Rockstar brought the Wild West to our lives. We will literally be living in Vice City. May god help us all.
Oh my. Ooooh this will be good! +1 sub! Imo this is probably the best game ever made. TAKE YOUR TIME, listen to the dialogue, do side quests, that’s my best advice. I’ve played through the game twice and definitely plan on doing it a bunch more times in future. Also! REALLY impressed by your controller skills. You’re in for a helluva journey. I envy you, I wish I could play this game for the first time again.
2:20:46 Dutch just dropped all those delusional bars, then strode off into the distance lighting a cigar. TUFF 🔥💪
This game is a masterpiece. I'm excited for you for the journey and adventure you're going to be going through. In a wide range of emotions that this game will put you through. So have fun and get ready for something truly amazing. Stay well and safe.🎉
I have about 1000 hours playing the game & you got an beautiful journey ahead. One of the greatest games ever made.
I'm so glad to have found this playthrough. Subbed and liked.
I never watched play throughs until rdr2 lol good ass game
this game ur about to play is arguably one of the best games in history and even after almost 6-7 years of it’s release, players are still finding out new stuff in this game so ur in for a ride of emotions fr, hope rlly enjoy the gameplay and the story
Eh it's a great game but it's not the witcher 3. If you're into rpg's/open world games and haven't played it your frame of reference is skewed.
@ I’ve played the Witcher 3 and story wise RDR2 is better
@@surfergemini1667 lol no.
@surfergemini1667 the ending is more sad maybe.
@@BigMoore1232 it’s ur opinion but Witcher 3 is still rlly good but I feel like RDR2 is better, even gameplay wise
Hell, yea playing rdr2. All I can say is have fun, take your time, and best of luck
just found your channel, can't wait for the rest of this series. this will be quite the journey.
I love how all the horses are cinematically facing the direction of the train and Krissy's over like 1:50:43 "Now kiss..." XD
Just found this after watching 5 other older lets plays of this, Ill be following this one from the beginning. Enjoy, milady
Howdy Krissy. You are going to enjoy this game, by the play, the highly Shakespearean story as well as the scenery. Just stick to the plan and you'll be in Tahiti before you know it.
Great gameplay love the video !!
The voice acting on this is impeccable
Our host here is so respectful of the dialogue/cutscenes! Refreshing
So excited to see this play through, you’ve gained a new sub 🙏❤️
Make sure to always have a horse reviver on you (You never know when you might need one!)
4 - The Camp.
Never played game so good I had to complete it 3times and had even motivation for 100%completion on my 3rd playthrough.
YT just showed me your channel, and I subscribe to see you enjoy this masterpiece for the fist time!!!
this game is the ultimate prep tutorial for GTAVI. Rockstar brought the Wild West to our lives. We will literally be living in Vice City. May god help us all.
Very new here but im always excited to watch a new playthrough. 🎉
I hope you don't rush the story and skip the side missions...This game isn't made to be done quick.
I had a TOUGH time when I first started this game but then it was the first ever game I played on PS so I was such a noob 😅 Here you are, headshotting everything in your first shootout! 😂
