True, but as demonstrated, you're usually giving up oki and pressure to get a drink.

I thought it was really interesting to watch! His oki was so good and he was able to shimmy in the corner which you can't always do after drinking. Still, it's not like he didn't drink at all. He always got to drink level 1 for the light target combo and the divekick, and he used level 2 a couple times to hit level 4. He also would drink if he got a forward throw midscreen since you can't get oki after that anyway.

@@TheChilaxicle everyone has their own opinion, I just prefer Daigo's "Always level 4" playstyle because the combos are cooler and you can get more creative
