- ■ Adrian Newey has been linked to yet another sensational, but not unexpected destination for his services, and after he has been spotted near the headquarters of his current team’s fiercest rival, talks have been started yet again about how the genius mastermind could switch the working environment amid the power struggle going in Red Bull. Reports from Auto Motor und Sport say that Red Bull have done everything Newey hates in a team - which is have an internal politics struggle - so with all this in mind, could we actually see this move happen, and if so - is Ferrari the ‘leader’ for his signature, considering the interest that Aston Martin has shown as well?

About the part where Adrian Newey has been spotted near the headquarters of Ferrari, this did not have anything to do with any serious contract talks or so, but obviously that doesn't change the situation of certain statements Adrian has revealed about having some regrets not having worked with the Italian squad.

That would be incredible! I know F1 is trying to grow the sport more in the U.S. market (why they've blocked Andretti so far is a head scratcher in that regard), but Newey going to Andretti would be huge!

Adrian Newey can do absolutely anything he likes. He could get a job almost anywhere. Any other team would have to be clinically insane not to hire him.
Adrian Newey is the only aerodynamics engineer that was around in the past ground effects days so he has years of experience above the other designers which make him very valuable, so naturally all the other teams would love to have his services so expect more offers are in the works. However I agree with what he said recently racing is racing and entertainment is entertainment the two don't mix with real racing fans. If F1 and Liberty Media continue to concentrate on entertainment instead of racing like they appear to be doing the sport will die and the teams quit and start a new series. The other problem is with the cars being too big, too heavy and ungainly. Skip the hybrids and go to hydrogen internal combustion engines. In ten years there won't be any electric cars being produced, two major car manufacturers have already stopped developing more electric cars. So F1 lets get with it and develop something useful

@@Chyeahokay Newey doesn't want to move to Italy, Aston Martin have state of the art facilities, or will have later this year when the latest bits come online. There's no reason to suspect that Honda will drop back, and so it makes a lot of sense.

Newey comes off as someone who finds thrill in the challenge and would like to join a team that gives him a lot of freedom to work with the car’s design (which honestly should be every team). I think Newey would be bothered by comments that appear to diminish his contribution. That said, I do believe there is a real chance Newey leaves Red Bull. In terms of where he would go, Ferrari and Aston Martin would be the top contenders based on the progress of their programs.

Did you trail Newey the entire time? I've not seen a minute by minute report of his whereabouts while in Italy.
He was down the road from Ferrari HQ, they want to spend millions on the guy they definitely would have liked to have a chat while he was in town. 🫠

They can pay Leclerc out. And sign Newey with Max.. Then Ferrari would be something else. Hamilton/Verstappen pairing.
That is the wirst idea ever, Verstappen is most aggressive against Hamilton, and same for Hamilton, he also not that aggressive against anybody else, i think that is not manageable, the 2 alpha will always fight.. so better if they wreck only one car (and one for another team) like both car when they fight.
OK look. We all know Newey is leaving. We all know Marko is being handed his hat. We all know Jos is getting his Red Bull Pass pulled. All that is common knowledge. Their friendship isn't over, but their ability to work together is broken. There a couple of caveats though that would ultimately need to happen in order for Newey to announce that he's leaving. I think there is a player out there that wants Newey more than Ferrari and Aston Martin and we just don't know about it yet.
Ferrari, well thats a touchy issue. If Newey gets total control of development then he goes to Ferrari. In order for Newey to truly go to the Scuderia he is gonna need total autonomy and I dont know if that is gonna happen. If it does, well, he's gonna be Team Red and thats all their is to it. If not, he walks. The front office of Ferrari is in the drivers seat on that one.
Aston Martin, well I dont know about this one either. If Stroll stays, Newey doesn't go Team Green. Thats easy to see. Honda is gonna be the one with the final Yay or Nay. They have a Fantastic Driver for Development with Fernando Alonso. With three or four versions of past cars, no one would be a better choice for development than Alonso. Newey isn't gonna play Daddy Games if Stroll stays. Thats what he's dealing with almost to the T over at Red Bull.
The Third Party, this is where Sally fits in for the Silly Season. I believe there is a third party out there that have talked to Newey and just hasn't been revealed yet. There may be a shocker out there in the wings and just haven't been made public yet.
Newey is done with all the drama and the games and just wants to go racing. If you have very been down on the paddock then you know what im talking about. When Newey was by your car and he's looking at your goods, you know he's got that mind working. I think he'll make an announcement after Monaco.
If he doesnt like in-team-politics he wont go to ferrari (unless its for some serious $$$s)
