This is because the rebels do not have the papal guard, and so he added them to the roster, in rome total war you could do this without any issiues, you could have british chariots as the romans by simply adding them to the roman roster, or go the next step by making them recruitable and adding the unit card and description (if u don't then they'll look like peasants and have no description on they unit card but work just fine) but in Medieval 2, things change. After you add units to another roster, like aztec warriors to idk, the frentch they'll look like this papal guard unit.
