- I use a teleprompter in almost all my videos now and I've had my eye on this Parrot Teleprompter for a while so I'm genuinely excited to do this unboxing and first setup for you.
I'll cover the teleprompter software and give more training on using
a teleprompter effectively soon.

I just got mine today. Working on the remote. Thanks.
Great video, I have always wondered about TelePrompters, and now I know! Thanks
really great, thanks for sharing man.
Well done, mate! Love how excited you got about it. When recording, did your lens pick up the corners of the parrot? Which type of lens did you use?
Hi Adrian, great video, i like your setup as well. it possible for you to share details of other components you are using like mic, stand etc. also does can I use a 2nd iphone to record vs a dedicated camera?
great quality video! well done, just bough one as well ;)
Very nice video sir 💯
Thanks for the review. One update you might look into is the overall weight of the prompter when using it with a Sony a6100 and an iPhone 11. The weight of the iPhone coupled with the somewhat smaller mirroless camera fitted with a 50m kit lens is enough to cause a shutdown error on the Sony. Essentially, since the Padcaster/device is only supported by the screw on adpater on the end of the lens, the bulk of the weight is compromising the lens to camera body connection at the base of the lens...not good. Despite this wrinkle, I still love this device, so I'm exploring ways to support the prompter under the iPhone to correct this. Please reach out if anyone runs across any ideas.
Great demonstration. I have been looking into teleprompters and this will be great.
Jason Ross it’s the best I’ve found 👍
Do you know how I would use this Parrott Teleprompter 2 with a new Canon g7x iii compact camera that doesnt have an external lens thread?
If my iPhone is inside an Otterbox case, will it still fit? Or do I have to take it out of the case every single time that I’m going to be using this teleprompter?
hello, I want to know if you used this teleprompter outside, I am interested if you see something in natural light with a lot of sun if the words are reflected and I can read
Great video! Very useful info!! However, I wanted to ask: How far do you sit from the teleprompter? I wanted to use this thing with a wide angle lens (11-15 mm) but I believe the walls of the teleprompter will be seen. I read somewhere that you need at least 28 mm for the walls not to appear in the image. What focal lens do you use and at what distance do you stand from the teleprompter?
On my Panasonic it's a 20mm lens which is equivalent to 40mm on full frame. I sit at just over arms length from it. I hadn't considered wide angle limits but will give it a test soon.
Thank you for this great review! Subscribed!
Fantastic Adrian! As a full time travelling location independent family, this is exactly the type of compact solution my partner and I need! You mentioned it was hard to get in the UK. (In light of Covid19 issues), can you let us know if it is possible to get this from anywhere else other than Amazon right now?

Hi Adrian, thanks for this, very helpful, just wondering would I be able to use it on my Canon camera without a tripod? Could it be propped up on something do you think? Also I tried to download my scripts from dropbox to the parrot app but it was completely impossible - did you manage to easily?
I guess its perfect for canon camera, it comes with free software and if you but remote worth 20$ you may able to connect with remote, hope it helps
Yes
I love this. What teleprompter program do you use? Do I need a camera or can I Use another phone to record?
Antionette Rolle you don’t need on me for your phone, get Teleprompter Pro app and you can have the camera on with text on screen 👍
There is also an adapter for the parrot to attach a smartphone to it and use it to record as well. One phone for the text and one as a video camera!
Kolvorok can you share a link for the adapter, I would like to use two phones
Is the lower part of the teleprompter metal? Phone glass on metal does not seem to be a good idea. :)
Hi Adrian, I thought you were mentioning a 46 mm ring/adapter in your video, but that size does not exist in the actual product disription. What size did you use? Does a 46mm ring comes standard with the v2 of the parrot teleprompter? Please advise. Thanks.
Yes, it does, it's one of the things they included along with the remote. The packages seem confusing. At worse, if yours come without reach out to me and I'll point you to one on Amazon ;-)
What if you're using your iPhone as a camera, and another iPhone/iPod as your teleprompter? Think that combo would work?
What is that contraption on the top of your camera for your speaker?
I'd like to know that too.
Thanks.
link of the tripod?
Hey Adrian, does this only work with DSLR /full-frame cameras? I own a Sony a6400.
I have the same problem. Mine is the new Sony ZV1.
It depends on the lens size, the parrot come with several size options
Which tripod is that?
Great Video. I bought it and it's amazing except that I have vignetting on at the upper corners. Is there a solution to the problem? I use a cannon M50 mark2 with a sigma 16mm objective. Thanks in advance.
Sorry no, that’s a wide lens you may need to just crop the edges 🤷♂️
@@AdrianSalisbury I figured that, at home it’s not a big deal, it’s just a bit, it could become a problem on the go though, with stabilization witch crops already or 4 K.
@@AdrianSalisbury And the remote control make a click sound when pushing it?! Wow, that is as bummer.
Cant find it on Amazon
I think they are out of stock at the minute
it works with canon 22mm lens?
Yes so long as you get the right ring for your lens
I think It will not work with Sigma 16mm which equivalent to 24mm.
It won't. I just bough this teleprompter (different brand but same build). I also wanted to use it with my Sigma 16mm on an APS-C camera. It's too wide and the black sides will be in the frame. I tried it with my 24MM pancake lens (on an EF to EF-M adapter) and it works fine! The downside of course is that the Sigma 16mm is a fantastic lens and also that with the 24mm, you will have to sit much further away from the camera.
Gibbels Public Affairs hi - i have a sony 24mm prime lens will this be compatible?
DoubleT No edges of the teleprompter will be shown..
So.... 100+ $ for a piece of plastic and a tiny glass?
Gteat blog.
