In my opinion, this proverb demonstrates that by persevering, working hard, and being open to and tolerant of others, one person can continually achieve small accomplishments. In time, these small accomplishments will build into something great. Never give up, and your small steps will snowball into a giant leap. Thank you.
The yard looks great; I hope to create something like this in the future. It's inspiring to see such a work as it stands out from the insipidity of suburban America.
I think this proverb is a lesson in understanding that not all things come at once in life. Usually knowledge, love and many good things that people strive for or desire are usually obtained little by little and with good intentions and love. Drop by drop, here a little and there a little, with discipline one can stay focused on the end result or the thing to be desired and eventually the thing to be desired will manifest itself.
awesome, looks like it will be very cool... I've been planning a new pond and pagoda/tea house in my backyard... alot of work, lol... I've got a few books on oriental gardens and ponds for reference, I have some antique Buddha statues from Japan, and I've been building Japanese style garden lanterns and decorating them with kanji.. lots of work, but I love it.. peace

The greatest, start with a single small step. Focus not on the fleeting concept of what is great. Focus on succeeding in achieving that single small step. Regardless of the things attempting to dis wade one of there goal. Then attempting to achieve the next step while learning from the past, being thankful of the present, and planing on the future.
Plants, and many items all placed and cared for individually. That is what makes a garden.

Good choice for background. Raspberry is my favorite berry from childhood. There was a lot of it in every garden in our village; my friends and I, being kids, were almost live on it, eating it all the time :D

A single man with discipline and love can change the world even, as it's happened through the course of our history as human beings. Many times over. - The discipline to continue on even when things look bleak and grim. Along with the love to do the thing you do with passion and only because it makes you happy. Not to fulfill some superficial hole within you or another individual. - With these two things and your passion in life, you're unstoppable.
He change the surrounding to something beautiful for all to enjoy and bring a peaceful nature that grows and spreads.

As it is written, love holds no record of wrong, love is compassionate, love is not self seeking. Love looks to benefit others as opposed to one self. It is through this one develops discipline or perseverance to accomplish the task at hand.
Everyone has a path to walk, always move forward then look back to see your accomplishments. The only person that will truly understand is yourself. You may show to others what you have done but do they really know what you went through to get there? They see your commitment, your spirit through the things you have done. This is what i see, thank you.

As an individual we are only one person. Only we as a person can to choose to commit to something. Once we commit to something no else can follow through our commitment for us. No one can keep the promises we make as an individual other then ourselves . We have to grow like a flower and also be the gardener and tend it lovingly and positively. And we must treat others as we would treat ourselves. A single man has a single life.

If you remain positive in your heart, and never give up just plugging away focused on the little things in your control that you can accomplish, you will be amazed at how much you have gotten accomplished by the time you are done.
I think it means to always try to be a good person, stay away from bad influences and vices, always push forward to achieve your goals, no matter how little or how much you achieve, as long as you do it with a clear conscience, you have done great. There is no end goal, it`s about the journey.
Cont'.. Mr. Park enjoys so much, you can see it through his smile that he is at peace with his creation. With the right discipline and commitment, someone can also go through that path and become happy at what they are doing with their life. The key is not stopping, once you stop doing what you love, you lose sight of where you wanted to go.

Trying to do to many things at once can make it difficult to accomplish much of anything at all. If someone has the discipline to focus much of their energy on just one task at a time without stopping to do other things, they can make much better use of their time and accomplish a lot more in life. If the task at hand is a labour of love, then even more can be accomplished. This is because love gives us good motivation.

Discipline allows focus of thought. Love provides a clear intent. He who has both, has most obstacles overcome even before he acts, because they allow for self- reliance. However, persistence is the key. Without persistence, focus is eventually compromised. Without focus, love becomes diluted and also compromised.

Proverbs of a Kanja #8 "ONE MAN"
As shown, discipline and love: passionate dedication and strict adherence to not giving up is the anvil upon which all great masterpieces are forged. Without love, no work has its creator's full attention and cannot become a masterpiece. Without the discipline of not stopping work will always be incomplete. Both love and discipline are required to change the world.
Two things come to mind with this proverb,
1 - patience is a virtue
2 - Slow and Steady wins the race
I guess if you take things in life at a steady pace and one at a time, you can do may things
Discipline allows man to walk the path without falter. Love allows man to walk the path without fear. Small acts of love are much more powerful than acts of hate. If a man does not QUIT, he will meet or exceed his personal achievements without fail eventually since he has no choice but to complete them.
A single man that has love can spread it with joy. A man can only achieve joy with love there's no exception. It's counter part is greed! A man cannot achieve anything that grows with joy without it. And threw diligence that is discipline the joy of your labor of love reflects your surroundings. nothing grows with hast! only love and patience nurture. Beautiful things reflect this and the person who's love grows from.
(Part two) Love allows a man to work towards those goals with a glad heart. Therefore it is necessary to practice both together, rather than simply one or the other.
Almost universally things do not advance quickly. Instead, they happen in little steps. Like building a house, it is necessary to lay each stone on its’ own.
I think it means that a man of discipline and true way of love.Can do a lot as long as do not turn the surrounding hatred in the world.Even if he achieves little at a time.He has to continue to work and discipline to achieve what he wants.The real key to success is not to stop but to continue to work

discipline allows you to move forward in life even if you are alone or finding opposition from others. It allows to to rely on yourself and to accomplish anything you set your heart to. by always moving forward you can do much even if it takes time. when you walk , the journey is made of each step you take without the one before or after it is meaningless. it is the discipline to keep moving that stays the course. it takes the love of something in the first place to guild us toward discipline.
a disciplined man knows how to always behave himself and man filled with love will do the right thing and with constant effort the small things one person does will build up it just takes that discipline to never give up and everything that is worth much in life is that with love behind it
Taking one step at a time and enjoying those steps, is the path to those big goals or achievements you want in life. And by going about life with discipline and love, you will not procrastinate your goals, and with love you know you will have meaningful goals to accomplish because anything outside of love is meaningless.
And by a single man doing this he can perhaps cause a ripple effect, and cause other people to start pursuing goals out of love and discipline rather than hate and malice.

It's funny i always knew what this ment, but finally came to an understanding for myself just a few days ago! :) I understand i have to at all times harness my energy, and through this harnessing i will grow in power. I can never be chaotic as in the discipline side of the proverb. The love is something i also have recently found. Its not so much love it is a mixture of both love and joy. I move with discipline and love and through that i can do anything, that is anything that i want to. ^.^
You are a very interesting person. I studied Ninjitsu when I was younger. I've tried to impress upon my children that it is not what they see on TV and movies, and something that should not be entertained lightly. Your gardens are great. We are doing aquaponics and traditional farming. We studied King Fu as a family for 3yrs, and now one of my sons has joined a local MMA school, I have joined with him as I miss the training - I have to get back into better shape.. I need to engage the services of a good accupuncturist or applied Kinesiologist to help with a persistent T5 rib issue, and knee dislocates... Your philosophy in the art is not unique but rare and much appreciated. I pray that you are well and continue to thrive.

A cow may move slowly and only take a small single step at a time. However, its persistance leads to thousand miles travelled over many years. Another analogy to illustrate my point would be, a tiny amount of yeast put into a bread dough. Although a tiny amount of yeast used in a dough may seem insignificant, that tiny amount of yeast is what magnifies the dough.
If you have the patience, discipline and persistance, all it takes is small steps of one man to change things.

(Part One) Love frees the mind, body, and soul, from the sickness that is hate. Discipline allows a man to progress in this world by practicing what is necessary to be practiced hundreds of thousands of times a year without faltering. Discipline does not teach love, only control. Discipline allows a man unwavering faith in the pursuit of his goals, even when it might seem that those goals are no closer to being achieved because the steps towards that goal seem so small.
One man can save the world, but remember the world doesnt have to be the planet. The world can be a life of another to that person who's life was saved that means the world to them.

We sometimes look too much at the future. God tells us not to worry about tomorrow because today has enough worries of its own. We must focus on the present and small things we can do every day. This is where dicipline comes in. We have to focus on the "now" not the "maybe", the "what is" and not the "what isn't". We can only make a difference one thing at a time, not all at once. With adding love to our dicipline we can make the world a better place. Add God and the possibilities are endless.
proverbs of the kanja #8 i believe what this is saying is, a man who is patient and has room for love in his heart will achieve great things, as long as he never gives up and tries his hardest.
you cannot help everyone at once, but you can start out with one person, and then move on to another person (or whatever you want to work on).
you will need to be disciplined and love the project you are working on, to make it succesfull, without discipline and love you will abandon the project before it's finished.

Only through discipline and PERSISTENCE can one HOPE to achieve his set goals and dreams. Couple this idea with the ability to love everyone, and you will have what it takes to make your set goals and dreams a reality. By having patience, understanding, and being able to take things on in an appropriate and sensible way, one can overcome and achieve any obstacle, no matter how great.

Perseverance in any endeavor, wither single or involved will enhance the likelihood of success in any project. Being single lessens the distractions of personal commitments to others and allows for focus. If however the single man is meant all men and women then, Combine focus, goals,effort and perseverance and even if the goal is not reached the effort given will allow for a greater enlightmen then if no goal, effort or commitment was made.
(Part Three) It may be a lot of hard work, and the house may remain unfinished during one life time. But the result, perhaps over several life times (of both the master and students to follow), will be useful.
You have a fine garden sir. You may find mosquitoes a problem with that standing water. If I may suggest , cultivate dragon fly's. They also breed in standing water, consume massive amounts of mosquitoes and other pest bugs and even better they return to their birthplace to breed like salmon. It's my Opinion they are a fine addition to a garden as well.

When I was young, I yearned to find a girlfriend who may possibly be my wife for life. I felt empty and unfulfilled. Believed this woman would make me happy. To no avail could I find her, that is, until I realized my happiness had to come from within. I must find forfulment from within. Inner peace through acceptance, discipline and love brought all good things into my life. So also came that woman, then the children, and all others things good..
