Christopher may just be the most neglected of all the Belmonts, and that kinda saddens me. So far, he's the only Belmont who's been able to shoot fireballs from the Vampire Killer, and he was also the first Belmont to defeat Dracula twice (right before Simon did it). He deserves some recognition for those feats, if nothing else.
And don't forget that Chris lacks Magical powers like Leon, Trevor or Richter; even so he saved his son which was possesed by Dracula at an advanced age
@@NCC-0000 There's that, too. I guess being able to shoot fireballs from the tip of the Vampire Killer technically counts as magic, but hey, what do I know? Although, Juste probably has the most magic power out of all the Belmonts. Not to mention, he's possibly also the fastest.
A great entry in the franchise, a weaker episode of it remade into a classic-style yet fresh game, with a soundtrack very reminiscent of Konami's style during their golden age in the 90s. One of their last blazes of glory.
I really love the pixel animation of this game so much. its not sotn but it beat the hell out of all pixel art castlevania games in term of movement animation and special effect, imo. Every whip strike feels sooooo satisfying.
I thought I knew where all the meat was in this game, but omg, I never knew about the one in Stage 5 after Frankenstein! Thank you for that - probably the most helpful meat in the game!
I remember getting this game the day it dropped on the Wii. Loved every second of it and recommend it to any retro Castlevania fan looking for an old-school action platformer challenge.
Unfortunately you can't purchase it anymore since the Virtual Console store for the Wii was shut down earlier this year. Glad I got it when it was still available.
It's a shame this (and Contra Rebirth) are not available in physical media for any system. Fortunately the Wii is so easily hacked that you can always download and install the wads even after the games are pulled of from the official store, this way they will never really die, but still... If they ever release a "Rebirth collection" for the switch it would be a instant buy for me.
I like how the boss theme has that one part from Super Contra boss theme. Pretty dumb they didn't add this and Contra 4 in their rightful collection games.
its a good thing i downloaded this game on my wii before nintendo discontinued and shut down the wii shop channel last year and i still have my wii just for this game alone so consider myself lucky
@@KevrythingEvil So true. Hopefully, Konami makes another Castlevania Collection with this game alongside other oddities like the Super NES port of Dracula X (since Sony has exclusive rights to the PC Engine port), the Game Boy Kid Dracula, and even Castlevania Legends, among other games that would fit.
I forgot if I bought this. But I’ll say this. No matter how many renditions of Castlevania, none ever seem to emulate the best whip mechanics from Castlevania 4 on the snes.
@TETCOM FYI: Yes, I've played it. Just like any other Castlevania games on NES, SNES and Game Boy. And no. The fact that it came out on GB, doesn't make it good.
What an awesome soundtrack!!!!! It makes me willing to do something important! (Excuse me, I think I'm going to create the vacinne to Corona Virus and I'm back in a couple of minutes)
All the Rebirth games should've been rereleased by now. Damn f'n Konami. I had 3 days left when I found out the Wii I bought for $20 still was online. I downloaded what I could. Missed this one. 🤬
Some random comments: Who approved the design of Dracula (first form)? He doesn't look menacing or evil at all... he kinda looks like a wannabe gangster or something. Wow, Dracula's final form in this game has got to be the weirdest of all of them. Yes, even weirder than that one you're thinking of. And also that other one. This is weirdest. I skimmed through the video and didn't notice if you ever took damage or not, but I did notice you took a single hit at the end of the first playthrough, literally on your very last jump, right AFTER defeating the final boss. If you were honestly going for a no-damage run, that would have felt brutal to flub it at the very last second!
This is one game we can't play anymore. DAMN YOU KONAMI!!!!!! Oh wait, Nintendo shut the store that this game was on? DAMN YOU NINTENDO!!!!! But seriously Konami, Port this!
They could have done better with the graphics ( looks like à GBA game) but it s still a great classic castlevania game. Glad I didn t erase the game on my SD card.
Rebirth LMAO. They should have just made it a whole new Castlevania game. There aren't enough similarities/references to the original GameBoy game other than the fireball whip (which is now limited duration WTF) and a few of the enemies to warrant naming it "Adventure Rebirth" IMO. More likely a shameless cash grab, trying to capitalize on people's nostalgia.

The soundtrack sounds kind of Sega Genesis-y, which I like.
Some tracks are directly from Castlevania Bloodlines/New Generation.
