This video had a very eerie feel. Like it is the beginning of a storm or the push to greatness. You always say to not be romantic about how you make your money and fact your willing to hit the reset button on everything you've created is fucking courageous. I really believe you when you say that.
Seeing the leader stepping up to the plate and taking care of his business with all his heart and power is very inspiring. Keep doing what you're doing Gary
This is such a real moment. You see basketball, football, etc videos on coaches turning the state and story of a team around, way before they talk about what they're going to do. I love how we get a chance to see a glimpse of what it takes to turn an organization around in a preventative way.
Always so impressive to see someone so determined to stick to their beliefs. We can often look back at history and see people who did this but it's impossible to connect the dots forward and see just how great it can be.
Thank you GV, for showing us the stuff, the not-so-pretty, in the trenches, that we would not otherwise have the chance to see and learn from. Organic. Thats what this was. Thank you.
Gary is the only boss that actually gives a fuck about his employees dream & he cares about them & wants people to understand what he is trying to accomplish with his brand . Gary V is the boss that I am going to model myself & how I approach my employees . Thank you
Gary..this video was so spot on for me today. We are just a small company with less than 5 people, but I've been struggling with the culture lately. I feel like on a day to day it's just so hit or miss, which is frustrating because just 2 months ago we were really good. I try to not let it eat at me, but it does because I so want everyone to be happy, to feel like they are growing, and to enjoy growing the company. It would be so easy to just be a boss and dictate to everyone, but I want the company to have feed back, to have open communication, to have a positive vibe. I don't do negative tension and that's where I feel like we are, but I don't know why. I've been referring back to your videos because you have given me some of best advice when it comes to people (business and personal) and I know I just have to work through it to figure out the root of the issue. Thanks for putting out something that provides so much value to to all businesses...large and small.
Super intense! It's like watching a soap opera. I feel the 'jump to greatness' or the 'storm before the victory' vibe too. Thanks Gary for showing this. It's life and it's the real deal. Everyone faces challenges, it's how you stay true and deal with it that separates the winners from the pack!
One of the best DailyVee's yet, so much good energy. The way you value maintaining a happy workforce and a happy workplace over profits and the overall growth of your company is something that says a lot about you Gary, and is what separates you from many other's in the industry. I hope everything goes well for you in this change.
Definitely one of my favorite DailyVees! Raw authenticity is always very engaging. This will probably rub some people the wrong way, but anything of substance always does.
Watching your video's and updates here in the UK and simply, just keep doing what you're doing and keep moving forward the way you are. Great attitude and messages. Thank you
Gary, the honesty of this video is astounding. I'm not sure if you would feel any anxiety over releasing a video like this but thank you so much for doing so. This was powerful.
Can't stop listening to this one ...You're at a cross road not necessary on the business side (but it'll follow) but in the making of a powerful legacy. As long as your "main" players get where you going and drink the "water" you all will win.
culture change is a scary thing for most people, but once you make them understand that you want to eliminate negativity and promote self achievement, pride and honest appretiation. You will have 150% support for life.
Love how you take personal responsibility to make sure your culture at Vander media is genuine. . I have mentors in my life that shoot us straight and pull the best out of us. I can tell you want the best out of everyone around you. You do a great job at letting people know they have value.
Sacrifice for culture that is lackluster is a battle that losses momentum. It's harder to scale that from 25-50 to 300+... You can do it Gary. That is my goal for my company. Rock on bro 👍
This one hit me right in the feels. I'm glad that you're willing to put it all on the line for the sake of good. We don't do it because it's easy, we do it because it's hard.
I can't believe it's already been 50 of these. And what an episode to make number 50. Nice touch with opening foreshadowing and coming back to it. Thank you and good luck Gary! Keep fighting the uphill battle. Keep trying to jump higher.
50 episodes and these just keep getting better. I love watching people who are good at what they do. He knows what he wants his company to be and he has every right to make changes to get there. Best episode yet and I'm interested to see what he has in mind for the future.
The kool-aid vs. water comparison can be said for so many things nowadays. Thanks for being a great example of staying in the relentless pursuit of what really matters in life 🙏
Unfortunately you see this stuff occasionally where some people don't buy in and they try to ruin it for everyone else. Whether it's a business, church or organization I've seen it before. I really appreciate you working at this Gary because you are creating an environment where anyone who wants to work will realize their potential and become the best version of themselves.
It's amazing what you can learn about the culture you work in when the gauntlet has been set. This was a really pure episode, the skill was in not editing too much 🙌
UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE! Raw, intense, amazing episode. I can FEEL your emotional grit on wanting to fix the negativity problem. If anyone can do it, you can. It gives me hope because I am struggling right now with lack of employees because I won't tolerate drama and bullshit. I love you man, fr....
Great Job D-rock and Tyler, this one was very well done. Gary man, great hustle leading by example. And thanks for all this knowledge you're dropping on us.
Great insight into the inner workings of the culture at Vayner and your passion to be the best. Awesome editing by D Rock and the gang; music lends it intensity.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Gary KNOWS that you can run an amazing and huge profitable company while still doing right by people inside and outside of the company. You CAN be the best AND the nicest simultaneously. I'd love to work for that company. This guy gets it.
Even after 5 Months this shows how true Leadership and building a culture should look like in our modern world! It will stick with me to the day I fucking die! Thanks so much for everything!
Gary, This episode spoke to me at the perfect time man. Thank you! I am suffocating in negativity also and need to make some big moves to make the company better and offer a better product to our clients. Love the "real" feel of this. Thanks again!
GO GARY GO!!!! Truly RAW content..... I feel like there is an epic battle against negativity in the works. Sadly, we tend to be so ungrateful when we have it good. We are also very impractical....if you aint happy and you have it so bad, then leave... and for sure you will find that the grass aint greener...Why waste the time and energy? I know why...cuz we are cowards, the minute we work up the courage to say "the hell with this".. we soil our pants because we think of the consequences... money, bills, rent, food, clothes, etc etc
50 was a special one for sure. DRock & Tyler you were given some raw conflict, and told the story of it brilliantly. Personally I'm the same way as Gary, working around negative energy feels suffocating. Good on Gary for going in on the negativity he's seeing a Vayner, and being aware of it, so many CEO's can't or don't want to see the underlying negativity.
As someone who's been in a couple companies going through the same growing pains, I'd advise you not to try and dictate culture. It never works. Like it or not, one person doesn't define the culture anyways. If you try to do this, people will leave. Sure, you can replace them, but get used to this cycle happening over and over. The Kool-Aid talk is what you get when you have divisiveness within a company. You have a group of employees who are aligned with the company's/leader's goals but then you have individuals who feel their voices have not been heard and begin to break from that group. You're right, the individuals with the negative views speak much louder than the group that's positive and just happy to be. My suggestion: Unless you yourself can devote enough time to each individual employee and listen to what they have to say (which is likely not the case), you will need to divide and conquer by finding leaders within your company who have already formed bonds and relationships with others. Don't find authority figures to do your bidding. First, look for people who really care about who they work with and how they are doing. And I mean really care. Those are the people the others are going to trust. Then worry about having your vision heard. Its a lot easier to propagate vision down the chain, its a lot harder to propagate trust. I think what you really want is a culture of friendship first. I firmly believe friends work better together than just coworkers. Why? Because employees tend to spend more time with each other than their own families. I'm less likely to care or stick my neck out for JUST a coworker because in my mind I've distanced myself from them. A friend on the other hand... I don't know, that's just my two cents. I might be full of crap as I've never run a company myself. I'm totally speaking as someone who's been a "follower" for a while now.
Gary, I have been following you for the past few months, you provide a lot of social media value which I needed so I continued to follow you. But then I realised that it was not the only value I was receiving.... You share old school home truths that have genuine value, I don't share all of them but that fact that you have the balls to share them is enough for me. You are part inspiration - part realism - part foot up my arse to make the change I have wanted to do in years and you tipped me over the edge. You adhere to what my mother taught me - 'its what you do not what you say that matter' and dude you deliver. Love the episode and loving that silly battery filled animation that fills that bottom left hand screen has gone at last - your better than that although you can't get there without trial and error. Stay well and hungry.
HI Gary - This was the BEST Daily Vee EVER! Please if you can keep showing this theme. I would be super interested in how you pivot on this subject!!! Thx Heaps
Thanks Gary! This episode was awesome! I'm a general manager getting ready to have a meeting with my department managers tomorrow and the culture is a big thing. I'm such a positive and competitive person but some of my people can be very opposite sometimes and it messes things up in the long run
It's easier to be cynical. It's easier to be negative. CHANGE IS FOREVER HERE. intent - authenticity - passion - patience - speed - work - attention - platform content IAPPSWAP Thanks DRock and Gary V once again. Every episode is ridiculously important. Much gratitude guys! See ya soon! Clouds and dirt! Clouds and dirt! The best and nicest!
Maybe the best episode yet in relation to leadership of a company. The answer to your question Gary is no, no company CEO/Founder has tried to do what you're trying to in regards to building a company culture. If you stop doing what you're doing, we will never find out what happens when a CEO attempts to build continuity, insist on mutual respect among employees, and make a crazy requirement that everyone simply be nice to each other. All this while pioneering a new space in an old industry, and doing it with excellence. Stay the course. You don't practice what you preach, you preach what you practice.
I've seen almost every piece of gv content ever produced. This was by far the best ever imho. Raw, real, gritty. I worked agency side for 5 years and it's hard, fucking hard. Implementation is hard, period. Client services is super super super stressful. This video is hyper accurate. Loved it. Great editing too. Life can't always be ra ra - sometimes it's just dirt....good job team.
Always good to listen to your rants, i'm starting a business next year, and my main focus is to work on the culture, i want to work in a place where i am happy to go to and work everyday, keep the hustle up gary, i'll be watching.
Really awesome video. I had a similar culture moment at work the other day. Negativity is draining and the ultimate killer. I am so excited to watch a CEO take charge and get down in the front lines with people and call them on crappy attitudes, at same time, seeming to care and really respect the opinions of people who have put in the time and energy and shown great allegiance to the company.
I believe in the "Dictatorship of Culture" because your mission is authentic, to build the best marketing machine in the world and push everybody to the best version of themselves. I fully believe in your personal and professional mission. Change is a vital variable to success
Gary! What you show every time and 💯 this amazing DV 50 is Adaptive Leadership ! Creating a common culture, understanding that change is a place and not a moment, being true to yourself and people on your team about your core values and goals are some of the key features of exercising Adaptive Leadership. I'm going to be watching this 100 times to extract the quotes & moments that relate to it, it's an amazing example for me to showcase to young people. Looking forward to see it unfold in your work at Vaynermedia, Gary. Thank you so much for always great content
Great content, great editing. Music choice was perfect. The right culture removes any drag on the business. It's the right thing to attack. Seth Godin makes a similar point in his presentations. He'll ask the people in the audience to raise their hand as high as they can and to leave it up there. Then he says "raise it a little higher", and everyone does. The question is: why didn't they raise their hand as high as they could the first time?
Gary I recently did the "reach up high, now higher" with a GM of a company. Then said that's where magic happens. in that extra 5%. When you allow your people to apply finesse you know they will create!
This video had a very eerie feel. Like it is the beginning of a storm or the push to greatness. You always say to not be romantic about how you make your money and fact your willing to hit the reset button on everything you've created is fucking courageous. I really believe you when you say that.
The only thing that is NOT changing at VaynerMedia is change...
The video gives off a hero's journey vibe. Like Gary is resetting himself, getting ready to launch to even higher peaks
I felt that too
i agree 100%
Seeing the leader stepping up to the plate and taking care of his business with all his heart and power is very inspiring. Keep doing what you're doing Gary

Good to see you in the comments section of a GaryVee vid, Paul. ;) gotta love this guy
been watching since daily vee 001. this is DEFINITELY my favorite. all about the culture.
Thank you GV, for showing us the stuff, the not-so-pretty, in the trenches, that we would not otherwise have the chance to see and learn from. Organic. Thats what this was. Thank you.

Wonderful example of true leadership. You're committing resources to a challenge most don't even see yet #outinfront
Best and by far the most REAL episode yet. Even more motivation to put in the extra time tonight!
DailyVee 050 - so freaking on point. Reset.
Love it.
Reset.
Love you man...JN
One of the best DailyVee's yet, so much good energy. Every one of your videos goes cuts straight to my heart....every single time😥
Really really felt this one G, like 5 minutes in I wanna hug this guy. It's going to be ok. People are the people. We believe.
Gary, I know you know this. But i'm so amazed at the sheer volume of content you create. Thanks for doing what you do. You're an awesome inspiration.
Definitely one of the best DailyVees. The emotion was raw and the music and editing helped capture it.
Definitely one of my favorite DailyVees! Raw authenticity is always very engaging. This will probably rub some people the wrong way, but anything of substance always does.

Filled with so much emotion. Keep up the great work DROCK in capturing it all!
Loved this one! So love seeing how you navigate the challenges of keeping the culture as your company grows! Thanks. So much value!
Encouraging. Enlightening. Elevating. Thank you!!
WHAT A FANTASTIC MESSAGE! Culture trumps all!
Its one off the best videos that I heard in the last week, telling the true meaning of your company.
Love how you take personal responsibility to make sure your culture at Vander media is genuine. . I have mentors in my life that shoot us straight and pull the best out of us. I can tell you want the best out of everyone around you. You do a great job at letting people know they have value.
Excited for what's to come!
These videos "are my oxygen" to put it in the words of Gary V
Soooo driven by the Glassdoor reviews. Awesome! Gary, you are jabbing your company culture!
"It's easier to be cynical. The unhappy minority are dramatically louder than the happy majority..." so true I had to pause and replay that line
Sacrifice for culture that is lackluster is a battle that losses momentum. It's harder to scale that from 25-50 to 300+... You can do it Gary. That is my goal for my company. Rock on bro 👍
daily Gary for positive energy! Thanks Gary!
This one hit me right in the feels. I'm glad that you're willing to put it all on the line for the sake of good. We don't do it because it's easy, we do it because it's hard.
This might be my favourite Daily Vee yet!

Awesome. You are an inspiration! Love the message, love the video, love the music.
thank you thank you thank you. I thank God all the time for finding you... you really helped me find my self. thank you thank you
MORE! MORE! MORE! MORE! I ALWAYS WANT MORE CONTENT. IT ADDS VALUE! THANK YOU!
This is one of my favourite DailyVees so far. I enjoyed the serious tone and that things don't always go well. I think the editing worked really well.
Incredibly powerful, well edited and a great way to show that Vayner Media does have struggles.
Thanks Gary!
The kool-aid vs. water comparison can be said for so many things nowadays. Thanks for being a great example of staying in the relentless pursuit of what really matters in life 🙏
looking forward to seeing what changes are ahead....
no one picked up on the rewind at the end?! the "reset button" on the whole thing...great content, great production and editing!
Gary im so excited for this upcoming change within your company I wish I was part of it to spread your values as well!
It's amazing what you can learn about the culture you work in when the gauntlet has been set. This was a really pure episode, the skill was in not editing too much 🙌
definetivly one of the best Daily Vee´s !!!
great drama.... boy this is like the wire... thx gary, d rock and all who help you
message is powerful. but I also want to give kudos to your video production team. Video, Sound and Editing are consistently top notch.
Sick edit on this one. Really liked the last part where it went in reverse showing the day. Awesome job.
I treasure these earlier Dailyvee episodes.♥️♥️
One of the best Daily Vee episodes I've seen.
These episodes are INCREDIBLE Gary! So inspiring!
In my top 5 Favorites of Dailyvee! the content and seeing the interaction with employees was awesome! Also the editing was on point!
Great Job D-rock and Tyler, this one was very well done.
Gary man, great hustle leading by example. And thanks for all this knowledge you're dropping on us.
I love seeing more of what you actually do behind the scenes. Super inspiring stuff dude!
I believe you will definitely pull it off. Best of luck Gary! Thank you for pushing positivity in a world of negativity. Cheers!
Thanks Gary, one of your best DailyVees yet. People should be paying attention more to this "why" content over obsessing your tactical content.
Wow. Just wow. I loved that. Every minute of that.
Watched it twice already!
DRock - well put together too!
#NowJumpHigher - amazing!

This is getting serious + to the next level DailyVee.
Gary,
I have been following you for the past few months, you provide a lot of social media value which I needed so I continued to follow you.
Powerful!!

Anticipating the change. Leadership

Always good to listen to your rants, i'm starting a business next year, and my main focus is to work on the culture, i want to work in a place where i am happy to go to and work everyday, keep the hustle up gary, i'll be watching.
great work DRock. Thanx gary for sharing these kind of thoughts.
This felt so raw and real. Music definitely set the tone. But that was real.
Best video yet, culture within a team is everything. Great editing too!
WoW mannn. ,.,.,, great episode!! It felt like watching A movie,.,. GrEat stuff,.,. Compliments to the edit crew!!🍀👌🏼
I believe in the "Dictatorship of Culture" because your mission is authentic, to build the best marketing machine in the world and push everybody to the best version of themselves. I fully believe in your personal and professional mission. Change is a vital variable to success
love the passion coming from this
This edit is amazing! And great down to earth talk about the culture. Love it!
Definitely one of your top, most inspiring episode that has come out.

Finally "I'm so pumped" that I can make my #first comment!!!
BEST EPISODE TO DATE! BY FAR!
BEST video in a really long time.
Great content, great editing. Music choice was perfect. The right culture removes any drag on the business. It's the right thing to attack.

Gary I recently did the "reach up high, now higher" with a GM of a company. Then said that's where magic happens. in that extra 5%. When you allow your people to apply finesse you know they will create!
Kick ass attitude. Truly inspirational...
