When you really think about it the Turtles had to fight a guy that had each of their skills and abilities at once and what makes it worse for the Turtles is that Batman is better at using said skills than the Turtles themselves Batman has Raphael level agression, Leonardo level leadership, Donatello level intelligence or at least Batman is far from stupid, and Michelangelo level unpredictability the Turtles essentially were going to get beaten even if the Turtles actively tried to fight Batman.
