Yeah, there’s no doubt hybrids have helped a lot of people since they emerged, Stealth 2s are really nice, haven’t tested the HD yet, will do so at some point
Fantastic review, and best I’ve seen on the internet so far!!! It’s nice to see someone taking some smooth swings consistent with the club head speed of most players, instead of watching some guy just swing as hard as they possibly can to get tour level results.
Thanks very much. Never really been a thrasher of the ball and good to hear that people want to see normal speeds etc. I do find it a bit surprising when you see most reviewers on RUclips carrying the ball 290 plus in the air without any problem. I don't remember playing with many people like that even in Club Professional events.
I use the Ping G 425 hybrids. Love them. I have used Taylormade hybrids before and like them too but feel I get better control with the Pings. Ping G 430 hybrids are quite good from what I have heard.
Yes, certainly I get good feedback from customers about them, not sure how much better they are than G425 to be honest, can’t imagine they’ve changed that much in one model year.
As with pretty much everything golf equipment related these days, they're all good. You just need to work out your required loft etc. shaft, grip size, all the usual stuff. If you stick to the mainstream brands they're all good.
Have you mucked about with the loft sleeve on the Ping? Would be interesting to see the changes in flight and dispersion if you changed it for example? If you were trying to avoid the left, loft it down or lie it flatter ?
Yes, good point, I think I was trying to keep it as fair as possible and trying to limit the length of the video, but you’re right, that could have helped in terms of fighting a left shot or slightly different trajectory etc. It is useful being able to change all of that and probably helps justify the price a bit.
Hi, it was about 92mph with these clubs. It is on the figures sheet under the 'CLUB MPH' figure but yes I will endeavour to mention it more, as you're right, it is important when people are comparing themselves to my stats.
I quite like the shiny finish, that's just personal preference. Definitely really good results from Ping, just not sure as many low handicappers will like it. Might be a bit 'big' for them, even though performance wise it would be pretty much good for everyone.
I’ve always felt, personally, that a five wood is less precise than a hybrid, not that I’m particularly precise with anything, but I maybe need to have another go. I’ve got the Stealth 2 Plus rescue, mainly for looks, because I’m beginning to think it’s not very forgiving. Although, the courses I play aren’t overly long and I don’t get a lot of practice with it, which is probably the main factor in its seeming lack of success.
Thanks and yes, an over draw, I like that. “How are you playing ? Not too bad, I’m just over drawing it a bit at the moment.” Much more positive sounding than “ hooking the s*** out of it”.
Basically what I'm saying is that I find using hybrids into a strong wind go to high. The extra spin they create by virtue of their design creates a higher ball flight which, into the wind, I find to be a problem. Therefore a slightly lower lofted hybrid suits me better and I think should be a consideration if you play in a windy part of the world. Irons, whatever, make or model, fly lower than a hybrid.
@@golffm6924 One comment I will make is you can sometimes have the same lofted hybrid in different brands and you will find a difference in how high one goes vs the other. You wouldn't think that would be the case but it is. Depending on the situation it can be bad or good lol. I have seen some pro's demonstrate the difference.
19-20 is the sweet spot for most people?????? You’re joking aren’t you! Most golfers ie 95 percent of golfers have 4 and 5 hybrids considering 95 percent of golfers are average!
I don't know about 5 hybrids, but you're probably right to include 4s into that definitely. I'm probably influenced by what happens in my area, where we're by the seaside and it gets very windy a lot of the time. The feedback I get is that the higher hybrids struggle when you're playing into the wind, they simply go too high and go nowhere. We sell a lot of hybrid irons and that type of thing because you can control them in the wind a bit better. So, no, I wasn't actually joking!!
have the STEALTH 2 HD in the 4 hybrid and just ordered the STEALTH 2 in the 6 hybrid....LOVE them....cheers from Canada

Just upgrading all my clubs to Ping G430's, this will be my final addition at the top end to go with my driver and 7 wood...
Nice, have you got a Ping bag aswell? I know a man who's done an unbelievable review of them recently.
@@golffm6924 Ha, I haven't got a Ping bag as I use the motocaddy bag in the summer. I might get a Ping carry bag for the winter..

I've been looking for a Resuce club for months 😊

Great seemingly unbiased review
Yeah I don't have any allegiances to anyone. Thanks for watching.
I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the TM Stealth 2 HD (higher flight, more forgiving).
Yes I do have that club, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for watching.
Can you detail your swing speed when testing clubs so the viewers get an idea of carry distance you get compared with ours? Cheers Stuart

Ping results show why it’s more expensive. Looks wise it’s also better having the dull look rather than shiny stealth

My issue with hybrids is they always tend to go left and look closed at address. Feels like better players lean towards 5 woods now.

Depends on the hybrid. My Ping G 425 's work out pretty well.
The new ones especially ping don’t hook anymore
Hook ? Surely you mean ‘over-draw’? 😂 Enjoyed the review 👍🏻

A hybrid should be lower lofted due to headwind? What does that even mean? So you don't use a 4 iron because it has "too much loft and backspin?"

haha you have more cuts then a action scene. but great review anyways.
I know, it's because I refuse to write a script, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
