Great renovation. No funky crap anywhere. Just classic colors and furnishings. The kitchen was a little small and the checkerboard tile around the tub was a bit much but overall fantastic.
Beautiful job and Keith and Evan managed to keep the vintage feel instead of trying to turn it into a 100 year old tract home! Bravo! PS: The guys do have the prettiest real estate broker :)
As a Scot I certainly noticed it. The house is gorgeous but it would have been nice if a little bit of research had been done into how to wear the kilt. 🏴
This house transports somebody directly to the green island. The furnishings were on theme. Sooo tastefull. Nothing to crazy. Exactly like you would find it in the country where it's originated from. Like Keith's kilt. It looked freakin' cool! 🤟
“Green island”?? That would be Ireland (Emerald Isle). “On theme”?? Trust me there is nothing “on theme” about that house. It has nothing remotely Scottish about it! Oh and yes Keith’s kilt was on backwards! If they want to do Scottish, at least make the effort to do it correctly.
As an Englishman, I am amazed at just how on theme they were. Stepping through that front door is like being transported to a cottage in the Cotswolds. It's an absolutely beautiful home.
Been a long time fan of the Bargain Block crew. Love their professionalism and their humour. I look forward to their tv program every week. Love you guy!❤
The upstairs doors looked like beautiful, solid walnut. Wish they could’ve been saved and reused. You always do a superlative work; I enjoy your videos. I realize that many times it’s less expensive to replace rather than clean-up and reuse. Good luck to you and God bless you both….from Southwest Houston.
This is my favourite remodel in this series. It’s gorgeous and with my Scottish heritage, my grandmother would love it. The only thing needed is a piper.
Quite. My jaw hit the ground when she said that. Have any of them ever seen a picture of Balmoral?! She might just as well have said that it’s based on Ludwig II’s Neuschwanstein in Bavaria.🤣
@@diana-gin2879 You’re absolutely right, it does look nice, very nice, but it’s as far away from the Royal family’s huge Castle of Balmoral in the highlands as it’s possible to get. Have you ever seen a photograph of Balmoral? Look it up and you’ll see what I mean.
That fireplace wall with those two small windows has SO MUCH potential!! I really like what you did EXCEPT the tan/peach colored kitchen cupboard paint....
Putting a couple of check/tartan cushions, throws and wearing a kilt doesn’t make this house Scottish themed at all. It’s not even a bad Disney version of a Scottish theme!
I just found you on RUclips, I love what you do, always BEAUTIFUL! I WOULD LIVE IN ANY OF YOUR HOMES😊 I also love you are a couple, and very connected and loving, besides, you can work together without strangely each other... I would think it's different when not on film😅🤣😂 You are my new favorite on the RUclips channel 😊
I’m 1/2 Scottish. I noticed that Keith’s kelt has a stripe of our family’s color in it. The different colors of a kelt represents the different color of families who have married into another family. The kelt is kinda like a family tree.
I really like such little informations. It's important for me to know this. For a country i love for it's breathtaking nature. A country i absolutely want to visit someday. ❤😊
@@MysticHighlands It’s a beautiful country. If you ever go, check out Renfroshire. It’s named after my family. Another odd fact about native Scotland citizens is that there are only 3 families from Scotland that have straight pinky fingers. The majority have crooked pinky’s. I have very pronounced crooked pinky’s. The Jackson Clan name is as common as Jones or Smith is in America. There’s also a Renfro county Kentucky, which is where my grandpa’s Clan settled. My grandma was a Jackson
Make Detroit Great Again! By the way, the realtor’s dress is absolutely adorable! I’d love to know what paint color they chose for the living room walls. That’s exactly the color I’m looking for!
All your renovations are fabulous. How do you get your furniture and accessories? It seems to me that to find all of these things you'd have to shop for 12 weeks.
Yes, someone else also noticed. And which tartan is that? I think I have that one from my childhood. I have the little ones and I wore my mothers for many years as an adult. They came from a store in London, Ontario Canada. Does anyone know the tartan?
Yeah, as always it’s beautiful. The only thing I really didn’t like was the front door. It didn’t match the style of the house and the color of the kitchen ugly there’s no other word I can use so I’m sorry but the countertops are beautiful. Oh and the the color of the fireplace that I didn’t think it enhanced the, the tile that was original that one tile but I love all their houses for sure
Yeah the butterscotch color of the kitchen with the grey counter tops really clashed terribly, not to mention how absolutely tiny it looked - The kitchen was the biggest letdown to me and would be a complete deal-breaker, but glad they got a full price offer.
Keith and Evan: I am a new addict to your show. What you are doing is sensational. I don't see, however, how you can live on the proceeds from the sales of your houses. Do you have night-time jobs as well?
Lordy, as a Scotsman born and living in Scotland, this gave me so much cringe. Let's go to New York for some authentic chicken fried fajitas and put a genuine Chicago lei on. Literally nothing Scottish about that house or anything else. No one understood the theme everyone kept calling it fecking English, ya div! BACKWARD KILT NOOOOOOOO
Thank god someone else noticed it too! As a fellow Scot (woman) I totally agree. There’s absolutely nothing Scottish about that house. When he said “I think everyone understood the theme” I actually wondered if he even understood what theme he was meant to be going for 😂 .
The bathrrom sinks are too small. Storage is mandatory or else you start junking up the bathrooms with containers trying to create more storage space. And that kitchen is too tight for my taste. But the outside is cute.
Just so he knows your guy has his kilt on backwards the pleats go over the buttocks and the unpleated section goes to the front - the kilt will sit much better that way round. Cheers Fiona from Scotland
I love the designs but the bathrooms are always a miss. They NEVER have any counter space or storage. Not even a shelf for towels or a toothbrush. Where do you put extra TP? Beautiful but not functional at all.

They are revitalizing Detroit, one house at a time. Incredible!
They're 2 of the many revitalizing Detroit.
It's impressive that Keith and Evan include all of the furnishings in the purchase price.
Wow, really! Those are beautiful furnishings.
I was wondering. I would buy it just for the furnishings 🙂
Are you sure? Normally furniture is only used for staging and later removed
The neighbors must be happy. Great job.

Am I the only one who noticed he was wearing his kilt backwards? Pleats go in the back, laddie!
I seen it too.. tzzttzzz
And, he is not wearing a sporin.
As a Scot I certainly noticed it. The house is gorgeous but it would have been nice if a little bit of research had been done into how to wear the kilt. 🏴
Also, kilts are Scottish, not English?
@@candiceanderson3933 Balmoral Castle is in Scotland, so the kilt was appropriate, save for it being worn incorrectly.

Definitely my favourite out of all their houses !!
That first bed in the bedroom is absolutely gorgeous and the night stand.❤❤❤❤ Probably one of my favorites.
Awwwww Keith with his wee backwards kilt 😂
Your homes are always amazing! This one knocked it out of the park !!!
A lot of thought and innovative design went into redoing this house. These two guys are really good at what they do.

Yeah shame they were trying to go for a Scottish theme….bugger all Scottish about it! Noticeable when the prospective buyers kept saying “English” 😂

Id buy it...its absolutely amazing!!
Great to see some traditional old world elements. There were also Scott’s in the Detroit area.
best one they have done, that I've seen. Some of the other designs were a little 'high concept', but this one is cohesive and user friendly.

Detroit's own Balmoral -- kinda hilarious. At least they give equal time to all comers in terms of themes.

Is the center tile on the fireplace Pewabic?
The music 😂
The scale of the living room furniture is way too big. Where was the refrigerator?
It was right at the doorway of that terribly tiny and ugly butterscotch-colored kitchen with the clashing grey counter top lol.
