This project works up super fast thanks to chunky yarn and is a great project for beginners. Keep your neck nice and warm with this quick cowl crochet scarf!
    SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED //
▶︎ 1 skein of Lion Brand Yarn Hometown in Aspen Tweed or color of your choice: amzn.to/3rtFUTk
(Note: I used exactly one skein for this cowl. If you plan to make it longer, wider, or if you crochet very loosely, I recommend picking up an extra skein.)

    ▶︎ Sharp scissors: amzn.to/3EjfuY2
▶︎ Large eye yarn needle: amzn.to/3rryoYY

I seriously really like the simplicity of this coal but it looks so cozy and warm and it has character. THANK YOU for this tutorial.

I've crocheted for years, but have decided to make cowls/scarves for most everyone in my family all this year as a fun way to relax after I've done my writing and exercise for the day. So far I've made 4: this one, and 3 other significantly more intricate patterns. This has been the favorite cowl of people who've seen them all, despite its being just a brown tweed (the others were super-dramatic colors and patterns). I've decided to teach a neighbor of mine to crochet and I'm going to start her on this project. It works so well w/chunky yarn and the ribbing really shows up beautifully (more intricate stitches often get lost in chunky yarn). So thanks Chrystal for all yr great videos, particularly this one! Feeling the love!

I had the exact same wool, so I decided to make one. My work is about 14” wide. I only got 10” long from my ball of yarn 🧶 something is not adding up. 🧐

Crystal used a Lion Brand "bonus bundle" which is a larger size skein of yarn. You`ll need 2 or 3 regular size skeins of Hometown to match her length. FYI: the Hometown variegated colors have fewer yards than the solid color skeins.
