We should move away from being locked away in gated communities and gated houses. We should build HIGH quality mixed use mid-rise (5-7 story tall) buildings - increase the density, make the areas walk-able, pedestrian-centered, full of parks & green spaces and have lots of small businesses. Visit certain parts of Spain to see how amazing things could be.
I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately, most Africans have a deep hatred of high density living, even though density is the only way to make cities walkable and livable for the majority of citizens (who don't even own cars).
@@WillieFungo We can't rely on others to do it. We should be the ones to bring about the change we want. Once people see a working model, they'll learn to like it. No, they'll DEMAND it in other parts of Africa/their country.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what a neighbourhood looks like when you've got people with money, but no class. Thanks for the video bro, appreciate it.
The owners of these homes don't live in other countries. Well, maybe, a few of them live in other countries. Nigerians who live abroad can't afford to live here. Although, this is just an upper middle class neighborhood. I live in this neighborhood.
In America you loan money from the bank to build or buy a house then you start paying the bank with high interest for 30 years but in Nigeria, you build your house according to what you can afford. No borrowing of money from the bank and no higher interest rate or forsclosure if you cannot afford to pay the bank to worry about. So Nigerians are really trying. I love that country. I just pray things to return back to normal so we can all live in peace. God bless Willie for his interest in going to video Nigeria without being scared of what people think about Nigeria. @@anneebiefung8591 Africans can’t even appreciate their own , too much I know it all, some of this people in the comment section don’t even have a place to sleep, Nigerians build there houses with cash ,no loans , respect to them
In theory, all cash, sounds good, but I’m not so sure. Where I am from, we have a mixture of “ build as you go” as well as low interest American style loans. It’s not an all or nothing approach. Can see the benefit of both. I think the thing that sets the Americans apart, which works, is that they used their government over decades to build a large middle class which they could then tax. The middle class in America really pays the bills for the country. So while the Average American does not live is such grand oppulance, neither does he/she live with a lack of services. The actual system ( while it’s not perfect) works for a broad cross section of American life. What I mean is, you can be poor by American standards but still have electricity, running water etc. and The Americans have a pathway to higher education for those who want to take advantage of it. That’s what I mean by a system in place. Take my sister in law for example. She came to the states with Nothing, enrolled in community college, lived humbly and just took her time piece by piece… today she is an OBGYN. So, the Americans do have a way to achieve if you have no money… you just have to be motivated. So, as an immigrant to the United States, I have to be honest about the country. If you aren’t intellectually lazy you CAN achieve here.
