They are my very favorites and just being there was awesome. SOOOOOO worth the 8 hour drive. Debating on going back one more time in a week or so just to shoot for a day. Thank you, thank you!! 🙏💖🤗
Thank you Phil!! I am so happy I went there - you and Heather would a have a great time shooting there. Patagonia is a neat little town too. Debating taking the R5ii there or Joshua tree for the holiday. Fun shooting hummingbirds here but that little place is magical. 🙏🤗💖
Thank you, thank you for letting me share. I really enjoyed that and debating going out there or Joshua tree for the new moon. That was so awesome. 🙏💖🤗
@@JonnyPink65 I was at Red Rock Canyon during the Harvest moon in 2018. This was before I started photography with a DSLR and was using a phone, but I saw the moon directly over the Vagus lights. This would have made an awesome image. The desert area of the US is a wonderful place.
@@joncothranphotography9375 Amen to that. Debating going to Joshua tree or back to Paton for a few more hummingbirds plus some stars. Loved it there. 💖🤗
That is a very cool place 🙂 I've been there 3 times. Did you know there is a nice little loop trail right across the road from there ? Also the creek beside it can be good if it's mostly dry 👍 Great shots as usual 🙂 Thank you 🙂
I walked on that trail and got some footage there too but decided not to include that. I looked at the creek but did not go down there this time. Debating going there again in a week or Joshua tree for the new moon. I also want to go hit the Patagonia lake - that looks awesome in photos as well. Beautiful area and thank you for letting me share. 🙏💖🤗
The images were great! I want to go down there and have decided to fly to Tucson then drive south and stay closer to the area like you recommended. I will make a family vacation out of it. What time of year do you think is best? Was thinking late spring or early summer.
I reached out to them via the website and the said monsoon season (August/September) are the best times because of migration. Spring is supposed to be pretty good too. Let me know when you do go - would love to meet you out there. I want to stay in Patagonia next time, but Tucson is only 60 miles away and I can use my points to stay for almost nothing. Little place but so much going on. There is also Patagonia lake and a few other places I want to go next time. It really was awesome. let me know! 🙏💖🤗
0:27 R3 images or Oversharpened processed R3 images? ... I use to get similar, even better images out of my EOS 7D back in the "old" days.... It doesn't look like high res full frame photos to me.... unless they were already heavily cropped 🤔 ... If not, The R3is not for me...
No worries - we each have our preferences on how and what we shoot. I know the old DSLRs have some advantages but even the top of the line pro-bodies really dont compare t99% of the time to event he modern entry level bodies. I may have inadvertently pulled one of the images I processed in the hotel on my old door stop laptop I use for transferring and storing images. The R3 is a little small for my preference as far as sensor size goes so I try to fill the frame but you cant always do that. Having said that, I do crop but not much. 🙏🤗💖
Hummers never fail to get my attention. Love those fragile creatures with huge hearts.

A lot of beautiful photos in there. And a lot of little creatures that I see for the first time. Nice video Jonny! 😀
Thank you Chris. There were a bunch I saw for the first time too. So worth the drive. 🙏💖🤗
