On that rear remote face plate mount for the KG-1000G, there is already a slot in place to run the cable out of it. The cable does not have to go out of the large round hole in the center of the rear remote face plate mount. Good job on making a mount for it though. Love the microphone mount idea.
I saw that, and tried it. It was a bit tight and I thought we would kink the cable...I thought a direct cable run would be best from the back of the unit. Jim
Just purchased this cup holder mount.. Thank you so much for showing me this install.. I appreciate it.

Also can you please do a video driving and show if the seat bolt shakes a lot? Thank you
For the seat bolt mount can you make the flex tube wider so we can run the wire up through it to make it look cleaner?
Thanks for the video. Any trouble hearing the speakers from the radio? I assume you have it behind the back seats?
Would have been great if you included the screws for installing the back plate.
Not a fan of the cupholder mount because then I'd have to install more cupholders. The second option is definitely better.
I have both versions of the radio the GMRS kg1000 and the HAM 980p...can both face plates fit on one seat bolt mount?
What screws? Just got my cup mount kit but there were no screws in it.
Do you have anything that would work on a RAM Mount?
Can I use this radio on 2 meters ?
