Was the blade touching the rubber the first time? I've got the same saw and same rail, but the blade is touching the rubber of the guide rail, is that normal?
Only video I can find on 'track plate' versions of the Dewalt 54v saws. I don't want to get two circular saws, plunge and normal as most of the time I work without a track; but on the occasions I need to trim a door, along the side, having the track option seems excellent. I'd be super interested to know how it compares to plunge saw for track work etc and if the base plate gets in the way of un-tracked operations? Does it work on other brand tracks like Festool e.g.? Thank you for the video!!
I have the 20v version of this saw, it's fantastic... but don't even bother looking at any guide rails other than the dewalt one if you do buy it (which is an inferior product imho. the festool one doesn't require clamps whatsoever, whereas the dewalt guide rail moves around like a toddler getting a rectal exam. YT for comparison video. you can change the material at the bottom for makitas though which is the best). for some reason, don't ask me why, the dewalt plunge saw is compatible but this thing bloody isn't. I bought a makita track and got impatient, cut it down to size, but it still wobbles. am going to pick up the dewalt one, eventually, but am mad @ dewalt being so fucking money hungry and forcing us into buying their shit, overpriced track system the saw itself is 9/10... flexvolt version is even better, I hear. I hate that there's no videos on these saws. this is the only one I found, too
I'm wondering about this too... I have a dcs578 circular saw and I wanted to know if the saw in the video is compatible with it so I can just purchase a bottom to fit it to the rail?
Best saw ever made

happened to me too
How can you marry a regular saw with a tracksaw blade? Looks like some sort of custom plate, can you link that model /part number please?
It’s the DCS576N

They make a track saw for that track I don’t think you’re supposed to use the track with that circ saw I could be wrong though idk
Like that saw rail
May I ask how you set this up I got a flexvolt circular saw lately and was hoping to do this for when I need a track saw
