Valuation. Isn't that a subjective number? What difference would it make what someone "thinks" their company is worth, in the near future? If I had a genuine, money-making business, that was appealing to a investor... why would they choose not to invest, based solely upon what I thought it might be worth?
I think the dragons want valuations based on actual evidence or proof, and not based solely on projections. If you are way off on your valuation, that might be a sign that you don't actually have any idea about your business or industry.
I am genuinely surprised Nick didnt hand the letter of intent to Deborah. And i am curious at what point she thought saying her preferred dragon was a good idea.
Peter would not be the best dragon because he's so obsessed with people wearing a suit despite the fact that the other dragons don't wear them. He's sooooo old fashioned.
But if you *know* your target audience appreciates the compliment of you presenting yourself well before them, why would you invite their disrespect by doing the opposite? Indeed, this is old fashioned - many younger folks appear to have *zero* concept of what respect *actually* means.
It baffles me why they get so offended on valuations when they all know they're gonna rip it to shreds with their offers. I've only even seen a couple of investments actually shake hands on their initial offer. 😅
Howdah snacks positioned itself in a wrong way. If you are targeting Indian diaspora, it's not conventional supermarkets but the Indian stores. The Indian stores have a lot of choices of both known Indian brands and bespoke offerings. These snacks should be placed in the chips and snacks aisle in supermarkets and a major target market for such snacks are in the pub and bar market. Unfortunately Shaloo did not do enough research before getting into the den. It's good she is doing well right now but once she reaches a certain volume, Haldirams, Bikaji and MTR will swoop in. In the middle East, these brands have forced supermarkets to create an aisle for these products

Small town mumbai 😂😂😂 it's like biggest town of india..
A small town near Mumbai. Not Mumbai.
Touker would sell his own mother. He’s the greediest dragon ever to have been in the den. Can’t stand him.
@@7Cedira Or that you're lying. Good point. Thanks for chiming in.
I am genuinely surprised Nick didnt hand the letter of intent to Deborah. And i am curious at what point she thought saying her preferred dragon was a good idea.
Why wouldn't the Plinth guy reveal his manufacturing cost?
Howdah is still going strong 🙏🏻
The owner was shot though
Peter would not be the best dragon because he's so obsessed with people wearing a suit despite the fact that the other dragons don't wear them. He's sooooo old fashioned.
The only one who doesn't is Steven because he is clearly too cool for a suit.
But if you *know* your target audience appreciates the compliment of you presenting yourself well before them, why would you invite their disrespect by doing the opposite? Indeed, this is old fashioned - many younger folks appear to have *zero* concept of what respect *actually* means.
Touqar is just greedy. Specially the way he put down the brand or value by saying it’s mediocre.
Would say its mostly a alien taste to older generation. The younger would try more. These snacks looks great
It baffles me why they get so offended on valuations when they all know they're gonna rip it to shreds with their offers. I've only even seen a couple of investments actually shake hands on their initial offer. 😅
When the Food is too expensive that it is not being sold, It is a rippoff and it is that simple>
You can't believe someone walking off without taking money.?
Why do people say they have a preferred person to invest in their business?
She wasn't really targeting Indians
Considering the rapid growth, Ellen's valuation was not so far off. Seems to me the dragons were trying to scam her.
Not really. They always have to get the best percentage. Don't forget the dragons r the ones giving the money. If it fails it's them that's out of pocket.
What is it with people "inventing" food and thinking they are going to compete with the big brands 🤣
The food company is doing quite well
'have you come here for investment or counseling?" idk if this dude is trying to be the mark cuban of this version but big yikes lol mark at least has the credentials to be blunt but he's never rude for no reason. so out of place and odd.
Dragons den came first !
mumbai is not a small town, it is the business hub of India.
near Mumbai not in Mumbai
She said a small town near Mumbai. Not Mumbai.
Small town Near Mumbai...some of you are so Thick,
Some people don't listen properly. Small town near Bombay/Mumbai.
Anybody else think nick should be brought back? Best dragon bar Peter
I miss Jenny and Duncan.
Duncan 100%
Cmon Richard Farley OP
Dragens are straight up bullys 😅
I bought a perfect chinese made tablet stand on line for £2.95.
Debbie chin melted into her neck lol
"She failed to curry favour with the dragons."
Howdah are doing alright. I've seen them at the supermarket in 2023, so they're still out there and making money.
How did the last entrepreneur have any relevance to the title of the video
I think it was the part were Peter found out the manufacturing cost of his product... still not a damning revelation.
Dragons should encourage made-in-house products, not put that down in favor of horrible working conditions offshore. Very disappointing.
such a shame they have discontinued the Bakawadi
blue badge thing is nothing 1000s of sellers make them cheaper. also the people that make the blue badges literally tell you not to put it in these holders due to the sun
12:00 Failed to curry favour 😂☠️
Does Nick Jenkins ever invest in anything? I feel like I've watched 500 of these videos and haven't seen him spend a single penny yet, lol.
Does that nick ever invest
If you offer touka a finger hes gonna grab you, your whole family and at least the next 2 generations
