DxO PhotoLab and PureRAW yield such superior results so easily that I don't understand why anyone would bother with this convoluted LRC/DeNoise workflow. DeepPRIME noise reduction is integrated into the RAW deconvolution engine, so ALL adjustments can be queued up simultaneously, and the whole process is non-destructive. You can even export a DNG from DxO to LRC for further adjustments with all the RAW data preserved. As an event pro routinely shooting up to ISO 25,600, I can't imagine working with anything else. It's super-easy and super-effective. No tutorials required.
I had run into that Lightroom bug you talked about - not looking as good as it did in the Sharpen window.... I thought it was my own eyes, but now I know how to over come it!!!! Many thanks!!!
Thanks for the informative video. Twoquestion/, why not do Sharpen on the Denoise original and then do further LR processing? You could get away with one less file. Also does LR processing affect Sharpen the same way it does Denoise?
I tried sending a jpeg and a tiff file from Lightroom to DeNoise AI but all of the plugins were greyed out. Should the plugins work on jpeg and tiff or only on dng and raw? As a standalone DeNoise worked fine on both the jpeg and tiff.
You mentioned that you had a teleconverter attached at the time of the shot. I would think that this would mess up the Lens correction setting. Does it not?
Once you are done with this photo and you are ready to export it, do you just click on the 3rd photo and select export? Lightroom seems to be exporting all three of my images.
Since I learned that DeNoise AI adds sharpening and SharpenAI can denoise, I am make sure that is happening too many times by turning it off in the other application.
Thanks Anthony, especially for the last bit about the LR bug. I have been experiencing it and was unsure how to fix. The second bug I have found is when sending to DeNoise, sometimes the plug-in doesn’t open. Is that another known bug?
Thanks Anthony for yer again a great demo. You have mentioned a few times about the bug in LR after Topaz Sharpening, it begs the question as to why Adobe has addressed this issue.
Timely video as I have been dealing with high iso images recently and was not happy with the results. I guess I'll try redoing them again. 🙁 One question, I normally let LR auto adjust the image before I do anything to them so I should do that last?
Thanks again for another great video. I recently shot a local (very small venue) professional wrestling match. It was an incredibly fun time (almost ended up in the action when they fought outside the ring) but the lighting was horrible. I was shooting ISOs up to 20000 and 26000 to keep a decent shutter speed. Thanks for sharing this workflow. The next time I shoot there, I'll watch this video again to refresh myself.
Hi Anthony , I wonder if you could help me please 🙏🙏 I edit mainly in Lightroom but sometimes finish an image in photoshop. When I save the image and come back into Lightroom from PS why doesn’t the image go back into the Lightroom library to its correct place , it always goes back right to the very start of my Lightroom image library, it only returns to its correct place in my Lightroom library when I restart Lightroom cc , thank you for any help you may be able to give me 🙏🙏 great channel as always because you have taught me so much over the past 6 years 🙏
Good stuff but as for color temperature...the blacks on the bird in the back is too cool. I know...don't change nature but if the was a human's face, you'd add warmth to make it more pleasing. A tad of warmth(just enough to render the feathers a neutral black) would be all all the color you'd need.
Really interesting & comprehensive guide, the most convincing argument for me to get denoise & sharpen Ai, as I've not got fancy lenses to use with my Nikon d5300, i like to photograph birds & the images aren't always the sharpest, thanks Anthony 👍👏👏
Couldn't you have just used a mask in LR without editing in another program? A Linear Gradient subtracting Subject then reducing texture, clarity, and sharpness from the mask. Which also allows you to work on RAW instead of rendering a TIFF.

Thank Jecek!!!
For proper workflow would you would I run Denoise AI first, then crop, then either go : Sharpen AI or Gigapixel AI? Thanks
Thanks for the informative video. Twoquestion/, why not do Sharpen on the Denoise original and then do further LR processing? You could get away with one less file. Also does LR processing affect Sharpen the same way it does Denoise?

Thanks for the workflow and tips. I have a Sigma 150-600 on a Nikon D500 so often have to use high ISO, this will help a great deal.

very informative, I really appreciate the knowledge you share, thanks a lot
Outstanding tutorial.
How does Topaz compare to ON1 with these same files?
Thanks Anthony, especially for the last bit about the LR bug. I have been experiencing it and was unsure how to fix. The second bug I have found is when sending to DeNoise, sometimes the plug-in doesn’t open. Is that another known bug?
Thanks Anthony for yer again a great demo. You have mentioned a few times about the bug in LR after Topaz Sharpening, it begs the question as to why Adobe has addressed this issue.
thanks for the tips, I find I have hi ISO a lot from shooting indoors no flash with my Sony A7lll
Great workflow!!! Thanks.

When do you use Gigapixel AI, after Sharpen AI or in between Denoise AI and Sharpen AI?
not OP, but I use Gigapixel generally at the end of my process, unless I start with a very small image.
Hi Anthony , I wonder if you could help me please 🙏🙏 I edit mainly in Lightroom but sometimes finish an image in photoshop. Very helpful. Thanks
Super thanks!
Awesome. THANK YOU!
I discovered if I use de noise AI After I have added it to photograph. The results are just horrible. I so much agree with doing it ASAP
Really interesting & comprehensive guide, the most convincing argument for me to get denoise & sharpen Ai, as I've not got fancy lenses to use with my Nikon d5300, i like to photograph birds & the images aren't always the sharpest, thanks Anthony 👍👏👏
I never use Lightroom anyway, so the bug doesn't matter. Topaz works in Photoshop OK for me
Couldn't you have just used a mask in LR without editing in another program? A Linear Gradient subtracting Subject then reducing texture, clarity, and sharpness from the mask. Which also allows you to work on RAW instead of rendering a TIFF.
very nice
Thanks!
Thank you Tom!
Thanks!
Thank you Fred!
