Kids are brainwashed consumers, their minds have been conditioned to strictly follow commercialism by the establishment. Sad but true and it is not jus in music but in EVERYTHING in life today.
We all knows, it’s like the winning lottery balls, we all shouts “I knows it! It’s so easy!” Soon only after the balls has been drawn! We always thought this male ballet dancer only has one leg, until we sees it from him! Sounds like a sad song, but turned out that I am wrong after I see the lyrics!

Unbelievably, this song has already been around for 30 years. It's hard to deny that the 90s were truly the golden age, an era of outstanding music and unforgettable experiences that we still hold dear to this day. Looking back, it's evident that life was simpler, and the world seemed full of boundless potential. The 90s were undoubtedly the best of times, and it's hard not to feel a sense of nostalgia for such an extraordinary decade.

My first wife, her addiction, and me repeatedly broken-hearted until I learned that promises very often don't mean anything. This beautiful song still brings me memories of those early Sunday morning rescue calls. Yes, I still cry about them 30 years later.
I think we all have friendships or relationships like this, with someone who holds a piece of our soul in their hands but who never stays for long. They leave, and our souls hurt for their absence. Then, just as we finally have moved on, they show up out of the blue and smile, or laugh, or say hello, and it starts all over again. The years vanish like dew in the sun, and we can't believe we actually thought we were happy without them.

I was married in August 1993 at the tender age of 22, this was playing on the radio all the time, loved it then, love it now, this song has ultimately stood the test of time, and is a absolute classic, unlike my marriage 😢 which ended after less than 3 year and left me with debts up to my eyeballs 😂😂
2021 and this song holds a very personal memory for me that goes back to my school days in 1998 that I will never forget. We all have a Jessie that we will never forget, be it a friend or a love.
I love this song. I live both sides of this life. I still love my partner, and couldn’t keep our beloved cat because he’s so alone, can’t stay and can’t stay away. I kept leaving for a better life. I finally am settled but the cat and my love were the cost. I would love him to join me but know it would never work. I never dreamed that I would be the one who needed my freedom. I told my daughter that until she feels the wind in her hair on a bike or drives across a bridge, she will never be her own person. I think what Jesse is about is Gravity. How we hold each other to Earth. Josh Kaddison expresses that beautifully.
This is one of those songs that immediately takes the listener back to the time (s)he first heard it. Nearly thirty years have passed and I am not young anymore, but I hear the opening piano of this beautiful piece of music and I am transported.
This was the first song I heard as a kid that my dad made us listen to on long trips that I liked. Had a little girl that's 3 months. Named her Jessie after this song.
@@frankwhite1895 no idea. Quite a few songs are a couple of years different in our respective countries. Been surprised to find (I think it was a song by Billy Idol) one song released in 1983 in your country but it didn't get released here until 1985. Not sure the reason. Dunno if we'll ever find out lol
When I was a kid I liked the song but the words were just words. After all these years and many life experiences, heartbreaks and losses that I've been through since, the words mean so much more
I have always loved this song from when I first heard it. I don’t live near the coast but having watched The Rockford Files since I was a kid, I could easily imagine what he was singing about…life in a trailer by the sea and the lifestyle that comes with it…❤❤
I had friend who always loved it when I sang this at the open mic nights... One night I couldn't make it and so he text me and said "Since you can't make it. Do you mind if I sing this song?" I told him to go for it! When I first met him he was so nervous about getting up and singing.. One of those kind of guys who looks tough as nails but has insecurities.. He died last year and I had only seen him a few days prior to it... I've been a singer, pianist and musician for about 27 years now and I love to sing songs like this as well as the piano style in songs like this (rock piano like Elton John, Billy Joel, Bruce Hornsby, Marc Cohn, etc.) I mean I used to sing this because a woman had treated me in a similar way to the Jessie... So now, whenever I sing this song, I sing it with that emotion but also with the emotion of the friend that I lost. Singing with pain and loss really has such powerful affects on ones voice... Sometimes I have to fight through the pain and my voice crackles a little but that's okay.
wow,I'm the same age as Joshua. this is why his music makes me cry so much of that longing feeling to be loved. you find the love of your life, get married and your partner forgets that love and you are left yearning for that love again because its been so many years since you felt it. it hurts so much to not be alone but be so very lonely. it is painful to feel unloved and unwanted like a book that's been left on a shelf that gets old and dusty. that book begins to fade, pages fall out then it gets thrown out. 17 years on the shelf. why won't he pick up that book again? please pick up the book 😭
@@Spiderific I'm still going through it. I am the one who wrote that. I had to put a different name is here to get back on you tube! I left my husband and I am thousands of miles away from him. Verbally abusive, alcoholic. I guess I'll never learn 😢😢😢
My nephew gave me Joshua Kadison's CD about 8 years ago. Since then I have bought it 2 more time because I move and lost it, found it, shared it and was afraid I would lose it again. I will ALWAYS have this music in my life, I simply love it.

Thirty years later, Jessie really resonates! Some songs never fade!
Gets you everytime, doesn't it? 🎶🎵🎼
Great song. Unappreciated singer from the 90's
This is my ringtone since 30 years... I love this song with memories my time in the Dominican Republic 1993 ❤
1994💝 Beautiful song and best time in my life....
Josh Kaddison expresses that beautifully.
my mom used to listen to this when I was a little girl. I would feel so at peace everytime she played it in the car
This song is almost as beautiful as Joshua!! 💝💔💝
This is one of those songs that immediately takes the listener back to the time (s)he first heard it. Nearly thirty years have passed and I am not young anymore, but I hear the opening piano of this beautiful piece of music and I am transported.
back then i bought the album just for this one song. remains to be my all time favorite ballad.
Traumhaft schön, gerne immer wieder an zu hören, verbindet Erinnerungen.....
Die Melodie ist allerdings geklaut :)

Danke🥰
This was the first song I heard as a kid that my dad made us listen to on long trips that I liked. Had a little girl that's 3 months. Named her Jessie after this song.
This song came out when I was in 6th or 7th grade. This takes me back to that certain point in time.
Who’s still listening to this in 2019! This song will never get old.
Imagine not knowing this absolute treasure of a song.
Released 1995 here in Britain. Loved it instantly and still do now
Dang. This came out in the states in 93. Wonder why the big difference
After all these years and many life experiences, heartbreaks and losses that I've been through since, the words mean so much more
He sounds wonderful!❤❤❤❤
Pure music , love the part about Moses the cat!
Feel in love with this song while working overnight stocking at Kmart in the early 90's...
Sorry for your friend
Why am I crying😥 for Moses the cat🐈 coming from a broken home... Brilliant lyrics never gets old...
God, I love this song :) happy happy childhood memories
A true masterpiece ...
There are only few songs that make you thoughtful just by their lyrics
OMG...My teenage time.Great time and song!
❤ Love this song! ❤❤❤
Am from Uganda Africa but love this song...
Hey we've all been there fell for someone and no matter how many times we get burned we always go back!
Only commenting cause I thought I wrote this.. Then realised there's an L at the end 😂
I'm still doing it now.
wow,I'm the same age as Joshua. this is why his music makes me cry so much of that longing feeling to be loved. you find the love of your life, get married and your partner forgets that love and you are left yearning for that love again because its been so many years since you felt it. it hurts so much to not be alone but be so very lonely. it is painful to feel unloved and unwanted like a book that's been left on a shelf that gets old and dusty. that book begins to fade, pages fall out then it gets thrown out. 17 years on the shelf. why won't he pick up that book again? please pick up the book 😭
LovesGod2 Always Your post made me tear up. Going through something similar.
@@Spiderific I'm still going through it. I am the one who wrote that. I had to put a different name is here to get back on you tube! I left my husband and I am thousands of miles away from him. Verbally abusive, alcoholic. I guess I'll never learn 😢😢😢
Baby, I've been thinking 'bout a trailer by the sea.. ❤️ Love this song!
This is one of my favorite songs. I can never get tired of listening to it
Wow, the nostalgia.....love this one, love from England UK 🙏🏻
I can`t stop listening this video. It`s just wonderful.
My nephew gave me Joshua Kadison's CD about 8 years ago. Since then I have bought it 2 more time because I move and lost it, found it, shared it and was afraid I would lose it again. I will ALWAYS have this music in my life, I simply love it.
Underrated talent once again! Loved his music!
This song is brilliant. Everyone knows someone they needed to give up on but had a very hard time doing it , if ever. ❤
This is my song, for my Jess a girl who I absolutely loved and adored more than she'll ever know ❤
