It’s Christmas Eve, I’m stressed and running around like crazy - your comment about cherishing every minute with your kid really hit me - I always tell myself the same thing but hearing it from someone else was just a great reminder to step back and reflect on the great times gaming with my daughter has given me - sending ya love from one board game dad to another!
Yeah I'm def a mechanics 1st, I do really enjoy silly moments in gaming and the laughs tho, I find it's always when the players are engaged and inserting there own takes on what's happening in game that leads to the great memories! Thanks for the review!
YeH the perfect game for me has a balance but rich mechanics keep me coming back. Agree with you on player engagement. This game more than most relies on that. Thanks for watching!
I'm glad you were able to have a lovely time with your son in the end and I'll be curious to know how it goes in a year (or more) when you have played a bunch more. I really enjoyed the backstory of why you got it etc. It sounds like one 'not for me' but I'm glad others are enjoying it. :-)
Try it out with your group. If they havent really tried narrative games, they might dig it. My group played the one before this, Forgotten Waters and everyone had a ball with it, especially unlocking the character specific stories
Great story and great video! This "overview" format feels refreshing. Not just a review but your experience. Had me laughing all along the way. Entertaining and informative at the same time! And no, thats not a "boomer" thing to say. I'm in my 20s and look for any opportunity to not sit infront of a screen. Wouldnt be playing board games as much if that werent the case xD
What was your rules mistakes that made your first experience so awful ? Would be interesred to know, and ps: unlike another user in the comments here I really liked your editing! Especially when u explained stuff from the game !
Appreciate the kind words. Our mistake was so silly. I can’t remember exactly but it had to do with using the wrong code on the choices. In retrospect it was one that I imagine many others will not make :)

Well that brings a smile to my face. Have a great Christmas!

Yeah I am more than happy to play something that is not my ideal game if it gets my kids involved. Thanks for watching.!
