This is the season that takes us into 2020. Can we please have it in 1080p which has been standard for most of the last decade. Or skip it and go straight to 2160p.
I like the current graphics package, but could we please add a constantly rotating bar at the bottom which goes through the full order as well. Sometimes it is nice to look through the field but this one gets 'stuck' on some classes for a while and you can't see what is happening in others. Thanks.
I think the graphics are an improvement, and WAY better than IMSA graphics (sorry Hindy, if the truth hurts), but they put too much info on the bottom of the screen when they are comparing two cars, and they clear it away to show even more info before I can find anything useful. What they don't show on those screens it the time between the cars, which to me matters most. Distance in meters is cool, but it's meaningless in a race with turns, where the distance always closes. But then that might just be a matter of me getting used to learning where to find the info. This is the first race I've watched of this season. But ooh I love the new telemetry graphics, especially the full-screen view! Very immersive. What I would really like to see is the default running order screen most of the time, but add the intervals to it. With the clear background, I don't think that takes too much screen space. But I don't want to be too negative. I just want to give feedback. My bottom line is a big thanks for acknowledging the problem and putting forward a fix, even if it's not ideal IMO. I imagine they are paying close attention to broadcast fan feedback since this is brand new, and I'm grateful. The worst I can say is that it's a lot better than it was, but still not my ideal. :)
both are boring,... bop or eot are stupid and pointless.. and forcing a pitting strategy based on category is dumb too... its the only racing we have due to the stupid aco/fia monopoly. otherwise we'd have better venues to challenge them, and since tracks are owned by privateers their bottom line can be boosted by hosting races wich means more collusion wich in other words keeps the status-quo the same. in other words it will only get worst until both f1 and the fia as a whole loses most of its marketing appeal. then, and only then will something change for the better. the 2020 hypercar regulations won't change anything. as long as they keep putting too many regulations then people won't be interested due to technical diversity not being advantaged.
i can compare both sports based on one thing F1 shuns RUclips and these are all on RUclips which you all watched so major improvement for endurance racing on my watch list
I will say it again, having a Single Team with the advantage of a Hybrid Drive system which gives them instant torque just totally destroys the whole theory of "Balance of performace". It makes it a joke that Toyota gets to do that in the Same Class as other teams who don't have that same advantage.
It’s a good point but you can’t force Audi and Porsche to come back WEC are aware and that’s why the hypercars are coming next year but there’s nothing the FIA and ACO can do before then
Love the new graphics and all, but still no 60 fps? Even 50? Edit: Also what is that shade on the left??? I get wanting to obscure less of the frame but damn the gradient is not how to do it.

I'm goin g to go out on a limb here and say that each time whoever is controlling the cameras switches to one inside the pits, you are going to see the team members watching the race, staring at screens. It's not really why we watch the race, we watch the race to actually see the cars on the track racing. So, keep the focus on the race itself and not on the team members in the garage, unless there is something actually happening in the pits. Please.
@@armorgeddon I feel ya, but the opposite is also true. I was frustrated that TWICE they were following something really critical in the pits, but they broke away to show the hourly highlights. Do we really need hourly highlights in a 4-hour race? I am only now beginning to watch the current WEC season, so I don't know if anything's changed.
@3:10.02 "In motor racing, you'd rather have than man win rather than the car..." Tell that to the GRC. I watch the WEC and touring style racing because I like watching the manufacturers going head to head. LMP2 is just a more expensive version of NASCAR that happens to make right turns.
In which touring car series do they still go head to head really? Isn't it all regulated by BoP just like how it'll be in the coming hypercar crap class?
Just out of interest noticed the the stuards were handing out infringements like candy Coming from australian motorsport spectating where a infringement is a drive through procedureal perfection is the skill of the best teams it just feels like a very second hand effort from all the teams. The hybrids are okay, fast cars are fun in multi class because of traffic that can change their pace by a lot. If they really were running their complete own race, they'd be a formula series or something. Still excited for Hypercars and LMDh next season tho!
The graphics are bad and the editing is so confusing. Too much going on at one time. As for the racing; just give the LMP1 title to Toyota and remove from the races... then the rest can have a proper scrap for the win... This here is just pointless.

I would understand if one paid for the livestream & get something they didnt like. But honestly...here? We humans are a lost species.
Well, right now this is just an intermetiate solution before the hypercars are introduced next year. The reason we got here was that LMP1 used to be awesome, when Toyota, Porsche and Audi (and very briefly Nissan) were throwing everything at it for a few years, before Audi pulled out after 2016, and then Porsche after 2017. Toyota stayed, and to try to rescue the class the ACO focused on getting more privateers in, but power struggles between the FIA/ACO and Toyota means Toyota are hesitating any measures trying to be implemented to try to balance them against privateers. They don’t want to give up the technology they have spent 4 years and billions of euros developing to get to this point.

So the "Sprint"races have been shortened by 33%...Hm....This series is becoming Less and Less of a "Endurance Championship" fast!!!
Incorrect. Look up the schedule for the year. This was part of the Fan Survey from 2017. Different times for different races in 2019/2020.
That's why there will be 2 8 hour races to compensate for the 2 4 hour races. So the endurance part actually doesn't change a bit.
