All he had to do was walk up to the flag pole, do a small jump, and not move. He almost did it the first time but he ran into the goomrads.
I thought it was a screen scroll trick at first, so when he jumped and triggered it without scrolling the screen up, it confused me.

The red coin was one of my favorite trolls in any of the levels I’ve seen Carl play. It is just the most perfect twist ending with an amazing “gotcha” moment. The fact that you couldn’t obtain that coin and therefore assumed the red coins weren’t necessary, and then the door opens to reveal that now obtainable coin? I love it.
Can you really be truly mad at that point? Even though you have to replay the whole level? I would just be so impressed of how creatively I was trolled. That’s a concerto of Carl-fiddle playing.

I think Troll levels might be more universal that you suspect. I don't play MM1 or 2 but I enjoy watching people play troll levels. And, after watching you play "Carls Trash Can" I stumbled across a Korean youtuber who also played it - and without really understanding much of what he's saying, all of the emotions he was going through playing it were clear to me. I think Troll levels are fabulous across languages and only take a small amount of understanding (I did play a tiny bit of SMW3 as a kid) to enjoy watching someone play them.
