I purchased the worship collection for our Nord Piano 5. I personally have never done anything like this before, so I basically don’t know what I’m doing. But I purchased it with the comfort of the statement on his website that says he’s there to help you if you have a problem. First of all, the worship patches are absolutely amazing and totally worth the money. On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being highest rating, I rate this product a 5+.
I went to my son's church yesterday and their keyboard player was doing worship music on a Nord stage 2. I wanted to replicate the sounds he was playing so I did research and came across this video. I have a Nord Piano 5 I got this year and wanted a similar sound for my keyboard. Thank you so much. I bought the bundle immediately.
I purchased these patches from Noah and have been using them in a contemporary worship setting at my church and they are phenomenal! Every patch is extremely high quality and the intricate control you have on the fly while using each one is amazing! If you want competing keys/pads sounds with the stage 3 but want the ease of use of the piano 5 for your volunteers buy these patches!!!!
As an owner of the patches, I've enjoyed these patches, especially the pads. The programs are setup perfectly for a worship set and have simplified the process of me putting together the sounds for a set. The mods settings on the ep and wurly are subtle but are a nice addition to anyone playing behind a speaker. I have added some additional programs mixing up the grand and upright sounds with the pads. I would highly recommend it.
As an owner of this pack, I must say I am very very pleased with its results. Playing it in various college worship functions and in church has been a blessing to many. There's also a lot you can do with actually quality sounds. That was one of the problems I had before purchasing this. I felt too overwhelming to sift through all of Nord's sound libraries and other third party libraries to create something that actually sounded awesome. 10/10 The default volume is pretty good overall, but don't hesitate to make small alterations depending on the context you're playing in. Sometimes you might need it a little louder then the default sound setting. One thing I would do, would be to copy an existing sound file from the original pack to a blank sound bank so that you could set it up for a volume/expression pedal setup to slowly fade in and out the pad. That has also been really cool!

Noah Wonder to the rescue! this patch collection is really is plug and play and took the Piano 5 from basically being unusable (for what we wanted it to do, which is piano+pad) to the beautiful and easy-to-use solution we were hoping for. the collection is simple - a handful of pads sort of in the same vein - but very pretty and quite multi purpose. definitely recommend

Many thanks. You can hear all the demo of all the patches included in the collection in this video. I've not built patches with a digi piano and sym, unfortunately.
Hey Noah, thanks for making these! I currently use a Piano 5 at my church. I'm always on the lookout for great pads... would you know if it is possible to download pad sounds from a Stage 4 into the Piano 5?
Thanks for tuning in. Nord patches (=programs) are not cross-compatible. That means Nord Stage 4 patches will not be compatible with the Nord Piano 5. Since both the Stage 4 and the Piano 5 comes with Sample Library v4, pad samples from the Stage 4 will be compatible with the Piano 5. With that said, because of the different functions and adjustment possibilities not all samples from the Stage 4 will be usable with the Piano 5. Especially because of the Piano 5's lack of a proper low pass filter (cut off). Because of that, the pads used for this collection were created specifically for the Piano 5 and the pads were sample already with a filter backed in. I hope this make sense, feel free to get in touch with me at hello@noahwonder.com with more questions.
Great question. This collection will only work with the Nord Piano 5. I’ve also created collections for other Nord keyboards but the patches are not cross-compatible, unfortunately.
Hi Noah, what do you prefer between the Stage 3 and Piano 5? Currently deciding which one I should get, then I would love to buy your worship patches. Thanks!
Hi there, thanks for tuning in. I definitely prefer the Stage 3 because of all the many more sound opportunities mainly due to the synth engine. You can load in the same piano sounds on both keyboards. If you have more questions, feel free to get in touch with me at hello@noahwonder.com and I would love to help.
How are you able to capture that “drone” sound on the Piano 5. I’m going back and forth between purchasing the Piano 5 and Stage for this very sound. I know the Stage can do it but find little if any info on if the Piano 5 can do this sound on its own without aftermarket pads.
Thanks for tuning in and that’s a great question. The Nord Piano 5 does not have the KB Hold function like on the Stage models. That means you cannot build a drone pad that is sustained underneath the piano part, unfortunately. Like I show in this video you can create many other great worship sounds for the Piano 5, but a drone pad sustained unaffected by the piano part is not possible, unfortunately.
@@NoahWonder thanks for the response. You confirmed what I thought. Are there any factory sounds already on board that can be tweaked to mimic that ambient tone? Can’t find any videos really detailing the customizations of sounds on the Piano 5.
@@ryanboudreaux8547 I've worked a lot with the Nord Piano 5 to get the most out of it and develop the best sounding worship sounds possible. I've heard people asking how I've created the drone pad patches on the Nord Piano 5 because it sounds so close to that. Technically it's not an option to create a proper drone pad with the keyboard, but you can built patches with pads that mimic the sound fairly well.

Great question.
