Easy Upgrades For A Dodge Charger!

In this video, its time to install a few upgrades to my 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack.
Atturo Tires: atturo.com/tire/az850/6770 I'm running the AZ850 275/40R20. These will fit the factory Scat Pack wheels, while still being over an inch wider than the factory setup with no rubbing issues!

Even the small and easy upgrades can be a ton of fun! Modifying your car to your liking doesn't always have to be in regards to performance, exhaust tips.... Cough Cough. Its a way to make your car a little more of "your own".
At the same time, its always nice to squeeze a little more performance out of it as well.
In my case, the Charger Scat pack comes from the factory with a 392 Hemi, which has able power for sure! Mopar did a great job with the car, with only a few things to be left desired. The tires were a much needed upgrade for both daily driving, and performance. To keep it easy, i decided to go with the Atturo AZ850s and kept them in a size where i could keep my original wheels. While i did gain 1" of width and a softer tire, they still do spin a little on a hard launch. The only way to fully avoid this would be a set of aftermarket wheels and a really wide tire (Or a dedicated race tire).
The Hellcat intake box is a small improvement, its not going to be a very noticeable modification, but is still a good upgrade. I plan on installing a full aftermarket intake kit soon, as well as some track comparisons to see if a true "Cold air intake" will give this car any benefits.
As for the LED headlights. During the install i noticed they do not sit in the housing as snug as the factory bulbs. Luckily it doesn't seem like it really affects anything, and there is no flickering or movement over bumps. The light output is really sharp with a much whiter tone. They are a great upgrade compared to the OEM lights, but time will tell on how long they last! Oh, and another thing, i haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic! That is a good sign that the LEDS aren't scattering light all over the place.

Diode Dynamics is the best for all your lighting needs on the Charger. I would also recommend an Oil Catch Can as its needed.

Yeah they quite a few burnouts on them 😂. I was actually able to sell them on Facebook marketplace too haha
I have to say when you first showed those exhaust tips I thought y’all were about to roll coal, lol. Once you put them on they looked good.

It’s your 60’ time to check if you are hooking up at the start. It is the most important part of the 1/4 mile & if you’re racing someone your reaction time is factored into it.
When you decide to go with the aftermarket intake, the ONLY choice is a Legmaker Intake. Look them up. Nothing can compare.

Would have thought that the Charger would have one of D3S headlights, not a halogen, on the Hemi? My brother's 2013 Hemi has that and it is a butt to change and expensive. I wish could have changed it to the LEDs. My Jeep GC has them and love them!
When you installed the LED where did you Hide the extra wire and resistor ? That’s things gets extremely hot though. Btw your car looks great.
You should get a catch can so oil doesn’t keep on getting back into the intake of your engine

Heat up the tries a bit before you do your 0 to 60 test so you don't break traction... Than hopefully you'll get the numbers you want...

hey guys got a 18 charger scat. looking to upgrade to 275/40/20 on the stock wheel 20x9 will that tire size fit the stock wheel base with no rubbing? looked into it alot and most everyone says itll be fine but theres that one guy that says his rubbed and caused a bunch of issues. any help is appreciated so thanks

Are LEDs a factory option for your Charger?
Another thing about LED headlights is make sure they are clocked correctly if the led is clocked wrong it can cause blinding to oncoming traffic and cause issues with visibility as well.
Best mod would be to trade that in for a widebody. 👍

You can't put four tires in the gladiator pickup bed, isn't that why you buy a pickup, even a Gladiator

Hid puts out far more light than leds, there are tons of good brands, but honestly over the past 10 years the cheap 55w xentec have been excellent. 2 bulb failures after 4 years among 8 cars. And they are as cheap as halogens. Just saying.

So, you picked up 2-3/10ths and 2mph in the 1/8th, and 4mph in the 1/4 from just tires? Doubtful. Looking at the timeslips, most likely the DA was better, which explains your better times.

Just a FYI......it is not road legal to put LED bulbs in non-LED (halogen) headlight housings. Thinking about this upgrade on a couple of my vehicles but wanted everyone to be aware.

Yes you can legally put LED's in a halogen headlight... as long as the headlight is a projector housing, NOT a reflector housing.
