  • This is an Indian Wavy Hair Routine for winter.
    In this routine we're going to try get things done as quickly as possible.
    We won't keep our hair wet for long. Since I am never able to detangle before shampooing, I'm showing you a wash now style later routine.
    For people who don't have super tangly hair, if you're able to detangle before shampooing, go ahead. For me personally, this format works better. This is a wash now, style later format.
    On the first day we wash our hair.
    On the second hair we style it.

    Hi Michelle,
    I have written 2-3 comments( you might not remember, I've changed my profile picture since) in the past talking about how miserable I was bcz of my hair just not cooperating with CGM no matter how hard I tried. Ofcourse I have certain limitations as well but it was a painful journey for me. I even contemplated cutting my hip length hair bcz I was so miserable. But you were so supportive, kind and compassionate about my struggles and gave me the suggestion/blessing to leave CGM and do whatever will work for my hair. I truly am not in the right headspace, mentally, emotionally and financially to make my hair a priority right now and you understood that and helped me. You even got me to think carefully before making any irreversible decision of chopping all my hair off. I am inherently grateful for your kindness. Thank you is a small word, I just wish I could hug you. Now I'm back to sulphates and silicones and my hair is soft and manageable and I'm happy. I'm still planning on chopping off my hair but not bcz of my misery over my hair but bcz I wanna leave the pain I went through this year in the past and want a fresh start. I'll still follow you obviously but not necessarily for the CGM tips but for your warmth and big sister energy.💖

      Ofcourse I remember. I will never forget the comments you left. I know they came from a very real and raw place.
      This comment you left meant so much to me. I feel these words very close to my heart.
      About your haircut. I am no one to tell you what to do. But I understand all too well about making a big hair change after emotional trauma and distress. Sometimes it turns out great and sometimes not so much. May I make a request please? If possible could you hold off and wait for my video on curl shock. After that make a decision and go ahead? Just a humble request from my side.

    Girl my hair looks EXACTLY like yours does when I dry detangle with a brush. Besides dry detangling do you have any other tips for reducing tangles? My hair is longer now (lower back) and I'm thinking of upping my leave-in conditioner quantity. Also I am loving the volume in this video Michelle! Va-Va-Voom!

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  8 месяцев назад +2

      Oh nice.
      Okay for reducing tangles, I have 2 tips, either dry refresh when your hair gets tangled up or separate the clumps with an oil or light leave in mid week. The more lubrication you have between the strands/clumps, the less tangly your hair will get. This can be achieved with even the tiniest bit of oil or leave in.

    Your natural hair is very beautiful!
    I recently found out that i had wavy hair , i always struggled with managing the frizz and i used to comb my hair a lot which clearly did not help.I resorted to cutting my hair so its more neat and managable , i regret that now .
    Your videos help a lot as i see how hair can transform when properly taken care of .Thank you for being very direct and helpful .
    I have this problem where my hair dries out too quickly , i use the dove conditioner (not the curls one) it helps with maximum a day and then my hair just gets rough and frizzy . I currently do not own any curl friendly products though i am researching .
    do you have any tips to help avoid drying out hair (i wash my hair twice a week )?
    and should i try the curl up curl defining cream and what else should i try as a beginner thats affordable?

      I have low porosity hair

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  5 месяцев назад +2

      Think of low porosity hair's needs as a spectrum and each product carrying a particular weight. Finer, looser textured low porosity hair can do with less products (of lower weight) whereas thicker, tighter coarser low porosity hair will need more products. It's not a "one size fits all". Meaning you can't treat all low porosity hair the same.
      I won't be able to answer this question. You'll be the best judge of how much your hair needs. The best way is to start off with less and if you see what your hair needs more, start adding more. Once you reach the ideal weight your hair requires, stop.
      I've explained this further in my video on low porosity hair. Here's the link.

      You can do a few things:
      You'll find some shower heads on Amazon that help with hard water.
      You can also try switching to a clarifying shampoo. Use this for all washdays. It should help remove hard water buildup.
      An acv rinse also helps.

    I tried to find my hair porosity by checking how much product mu hair has absorbed after hair wash. I used a generous amount of shampoo and conditioner. I got those defined curl clumps but my hair looks frizzy. I didn't use any styling products. I used a thick shampoo and conditioner ( mama Earth onion shampoo and conditioner). Mu curls look really frizzy and dry. What do u think is my hair porosity?

    Hi, my hair is awefully fine and porous. When it is wet, the volume is horribly small. And so i did my 1st cgr yesterday. After wash and pat dry, I put it upside down, used a shampoo amount of leave in conditioner and started clumping the entire hair with a wide tooth comb. I tried hard but the clumps were coming frizzy, even after spraying water and getting the squish sound... so i had to use a medium tooth comb to get them smooth. But yeh i ruined it again by getting plenty of thread like strings. Is it because i used too less product? I do not have gel yet. With my fine wet hair if i used wide tooth comb, i will end up with hardly 15-20 lumps. 😢

    • @MichelleManuel
      @MichelleManuel  7 месяцев назад

      Try a gel or mousse. It will make a huge difference. Apply leave in + gel and then scrunch. You'll see that the clumps won't fall apart.
