  • In this video I teach you how to cast off a circular knitting machine without using any waste yarn. This is my favourite method to use for Beanies as it makes them super easy to close up and leaves you with a secure set of stitches to work with.

I just finished my first beanie tube. Casting off ive missed a bunch. The video I watched didn’t explain good as you are. My tube is beautiful. I have a couple left to take off. Is there any way to save my hat with a not so perfect edge here?

I would maybe run some scrap yarn through the loops you’ve missed so you don’t drop stitches, and then when you cinch the beanie together you can pick them back up again with the working yarn and remove the scrap yarn.

Thank you for the tutorial. I do not have audio available so I am hoping you will tell me how many times I need to go around to make a cap for an adult.

So do you not crank the last round before removing stitches...

You crank round slowly as you remove the stitches

How many rows do you make your beanies?

Hi, I don't tend to count rows - this video shows how I make my beanies :-) ruclips.net/video/VCRZcyEb6kM/видео.html

Thanks for posting. And, as always - using a different color yarn from your machine and doing it clearly so my dyslexic brain can actually follow along❤ 🧶 🧣
