I did the same plaster cast/sculpture class - a year after Jony. It was called the non-literal form study with the same dear Mr. Roy Morris. And yes, Roy was allergic to plaster dust - which confused us all! Why would he put himself though that? It was because Roy was passionate about that class. We all learned so much - by thinking, creating and solving problems simultaneously - physically in 3-dimensions - instead of sitting in front of a computer. This was in 1986 by the way - even Mr Ive hadn't set his eyes on an Apple Mac at that point!
I’m so happy to hear from him again. His quotes and advices pushed me to make great things I never thought I could make. I’m always inspired by him and his work, and I’ll be forever thankful to him.
