Ride in a ditch for a day and you will know what hidden obstacles are. Drainage pipes, culverts, posts, and even the random crap thrown in like broken up concrete, microwaves, and printers to name some things I have seen. Add to that...drifts and the random car that left the road covered in snow, makes it really hard to tell what is an obstacle. But yeah, look for imperfections in the snow and that will help you. When in doubt throttle out, because if you stick your ski in a culvert you want to make it's worth your time.
Great pointers as always. Thanks.
Thanks, Marty!
Good tips.
