You have to understand that Pete was on everything, from Magazines to shirts. FOB wasn't really a band prior to Save Rock N' Roll (to the general public that weren't serious fans), it was Pete Wentz and some guys. He didn't do it because he hated himself, he did it so that all of his bandmates could get recognized as talented musicians (and so Pete could go to rehab because he had a really bad cocaine problem. SIX YEARS CLEAN!).
They needed it. It's bittersweet. And now they're back and better than ever.
