His gate of truth was completely empty, symbolising he never archieved anything on his own and grew beyond his initial self. Gosh this series is a fucking masterpiece.
Also Lust's last words "Those eyes, looking straight ahead unwavering. I can't wait. The day when those eyes will be twisted in agony." then turns out he lost his sight as payment.
That's what gives meaning to their lives, they lived out of the imperfections they were raised and in the end died what they feared the most- or wanted it. This show is a masterpiece.

I love the little touch of destiny that ultimately help scar defeat wrath, implying that there is something beyond our understanding. Seriously, FMAB handle the whole religion vs science so perfectly, hell they even made it into religion and science two sides of the same coin.

The Bible even teaches and encourages for humanity to explore and learn about the universe they live in and be rewarded by finding fingerprints of their creator in everything they observe. Now whether you believe that or beleive that religion even has a place in science and to what extent is something everyone has to, and should have the right to be able to, decide for themselves. This is why nuanced and deep exploration of the idea in media is important. Media becomes art when it makes people think about things, gives them new perspectives and lets them draw their own conclusions. Analysing art is actually pretty similar to exploring a faith or studying a science in that regard.
Fma's alchemy despite being a scientific endeavor is also very closely related to god. This can be seen in Xing's form of alchemy especially, Lien-Dan-Shu is believed to take its power from a sort of dragon god that runs through the veins of earth, there are even more pantheistic elements sprinkled throughout the series from the Gate of Truth to the way Alchemy works you can make out a pantheistic god trhough many details
When envy said "being understood by this kid" I felt something break, I hated her from the start... But I still couldn't keep myself from crying seeing her death This anime is indeed a masterpiece...
*spoilers ahead* List of the saddest deaths of the the homunculi: 1-Greed 2-Envy (idk i kinda felt bad for him when he was very weak and he looked like a cute slug). 3-Wrath. Dies in a peaceful way despite being created as an emotion that supposed to symbolize war and rage. 4- Gluttony. Gluttony dies in a gruesome way when he gets devoured. (Ironic as he gets devoured) also because he acted like a baby and had a soft spot-ish 5- Sloth: he was always ordered around and did not like his orders because they were “such a drag”. Boring one but it was a bit sad. 6-Pride- prides death wasnt “sad” as he becomes a normal ish human who grows up . Also the kimblee attack was epic. 7- lust. Lust is a bitch. She destroyed havocs leg. “Ik he gets them back whit a philosophers stone” but that was still rude and technically she was the one who found out about hughes and made envy kill hughes.

Neither Lan Fan nor Scar killed him to avenge what he took, as he died peacefully Pride/Selim was reborn due to being too arrogant and seeing himself as above humans but gladly hijacking Ed, humbled by another he absorbed The Second Greed finally had his fill and made the sacrificial play Father, someone whose knowledge was taken from elsewhere, finally learned something (I say this as while we rarely see him, everything he has is an amalgamation of stolen knowledge; Pride absorbs people like Truth taking people, Gluttony is a failed Portal, a giant eye right over the Stone leading to an endless void, Envy is able to easily rebuild their body on command between their ‘real’ form and a more humanoid form like how Father quickly a form after absorbing the souls centuries ago) Finally Hohenheim, was able to finally save someone close to him or his family after losing so many and had Edward recognize him
For me, actually King Bradley attack was the most fierce among all homunculus, he also very quick and agile. Other than his part that served as connections between humans, which is made him more dangerous character.
I really love what the author or writers did to sloth he's so lazy that he wants to finish his work early so that he laze around. They made every sin perfectly except for gluttony he deserved a fight to the death too and it would've been great if they made him an anorexic who has a insatiable appetite.
is not lazyness. Is lethargy, is apathy. Is doing a thing just for doing, just for taking another step in the day, without a goal, without a cause. Is obey to order without questioning, acting like a machine. Even in death thinking about what's appening is "too much bother" for him.
I personally think that Greed's death is the saddest. He finally have someone he can relied to, his friends, someone he consider as part of his family. Yet, he sacrificed all of that so that everyone can survived.

Sloth and Greed are the only ones I feel more said about. Greed for obvious reasons, but Sloth, Idk, I felt the most pity cuz he just wanted to rest and was only following orders so that he could do so
The reason I stopped watching this anime is because it is damn depressing. Every death of a major character just makes you say wow did they really have to die like that.

キンブリーは自分が知る中でトップクラスに魅力のある悪役です。

I personally think that Greed's death is the saddest. He finally have someone he can relied to, his friends, someone he consider as part of his family. Yet, he sacrificed all of that so that everyone can survived.

Sloth and Greed are the only ones I feel more said about. Greed for obvious reasons, but Sloth, Idk, I felt the most pity cuz he just wanted to rest and was only following orders so that he could do so

The reason I stopped watching this anime is because it is damn depressing. Every death of a major character just makes you say wow did they really have to die like that.
